I loved my stay very much. Lots of room very clean facilities, close to town to walk, beautiful views & I saw the platypus. Loved the fire pit we borrowed plus timber to purchase for the fire.

Beautiful place! Great amenities, all clean and organised. We specially liked that there were bins available all throughout the campground. Lovely creek running on the side which is perfect for kids to play and explore. Friendly people all around. Would recommend

The Grounds are kept clean, toilets are props the cleanest I've seen and consistent, the care takers of ground are awsome, Stayed here multiple times over past 3 years and I've never had one issue.

Not our cup of tea as a camp and should have researched it better, so that is my bad.
Can see how it would appeal to families or travellers looking for somewhere with good glamping facilities and close to town for cafes etc.
Way too busy and close to other campers for our liking so will not be back.
Could not get in touch with caretaker to buy wood and we only booked as hipcamp made it look like they only offered a small number of sites, so in our mind that would mean a quieter camp.
It is just a common showground camp.
We made the most of our night but would head to a more off grid site next time.

A nice quiet stopover. Views of the mountains wheir amazing. Good amenities. A nice drive to get there too.
We had a lovely welcome when we arrived at the campground. Our host was friendly and showed us around, explaining where everything was, including the toilets and our campsite. They also gave us some helpful information about the local town, where to pick up supplies, and even offered us a fire pit and wood to purchase. We were also told about some great spots to explore, including the creek and where we might be lucky enough to see platypuses.
We had a really enjoyable stay and, after being on the road for quite a while, we were looking forward to a good rest. The campsite was peaceful and relaxing, and everything was perfect for us — with one exception. Unfortunately, a group of campers nearby stayed up until around 4:20 am playing music, which meant we didn't get the best night's sleep and were quite tired the following day. It would have been nice to have a noise curfew after 1 am to help ensure everyone could enjoy a peaceful night's sleep.
Apart from that, we had a fantastic experience and were really happy with our stay. The host was welcoming and helpful, and we'd definitely recommend the campground to others. We'd happily come back again!

We really enjoyed our weekend away in Tyalgum! The amenities were great! Spotting the platypus was a great BONUS!
It was a good one night stay, view was nice, the general store just a three minute walk away had great coffee (but I wouldn’t rely on it for actual essentials and it was pretty expensive). The amenities were great, clean toilets, hot water showers and the kitchen area had everything you could need, including a bbq and air fryer. Overall, it was good for a one night stay.

Very friendly hosts and staff keep the campsite in great order. The camp sites are large and the surrounding paddocks and hills make a wonderful backdrop to the camp. It is in easy walking distance to the Flutterbies which is a unique establishment offering a range of meals including high tea. We stayed for a week and found it easy to drive to other areas of interest. Fire pits are available for free and fire wood can be purchased from the manager.
We had a lovely stay. Our site was along the fence so we had lovely views of the fields and cows. It was an easy stroll into town. Justine who was managing the campground was delightful. So helpful and friendly
Great location, walking distance to Tyalgum village and friendly pub. Lovely Views across to Mt Warning from the site and fantastic camp kitchen and amenities.

Great grassy camp-site tucked away in the farming hinterland. Clean, good facilities. Beautiful location.
Spent a few days at Tyalgum enjoying the country hospitality and the quaint village shops.
The camp site was perfect, beautiful view of Wollumbin and close to the creek. We didn"t see any platypus but there was plenty of birdlife, including azure kingfishers. The kids loved watching the cows.
The amenities were great, very clean and lots of hot water, much appreciated, as was the camp fire, it was a bit chilly.
We would stay there again.

We gathered a few friends together for the 100 year anniversary of the Pub. Short walk through the cow paddock in daylight hours but home via the road.
The camp ground was relatively full but still roomy and quite.
Quaint little town with its general store and restaurant.
We were a group of 9 adults and a child with tents on a 3-night trip and we did enjoy our time over at Tyalgum Showgrounds. The facilities were well kept. The toilets were like brand new and well maintained. The caretaker was very gracious and kind. We were walking distance from the town centre and a nearby creek. All in all, we would definitely recommend the place!

The staff are really friendly no matter how busy they are. Facilities were comfortable. Fridge jug stovetops & a microwave to use.
But the views are even better! Beautiful spot to stay!
Absolutely beautiful! We were aiming for a quick stop at Murwillumbah Showgrounds for a night while heading north, they were full and recommended this place. I’m so glad they did, idyllic spot. Very clean facilities, great showers and a well equipped kitchen. We parked against the fence line on an unpowered site and the view was beautiful. Very quiet and peaceful in the evening. We popped to the local pub a 5 min walk away for a drink and walked along the small town centre with a cute general store, cafe/restaurant and post office. Worth a look at the river which runs behind the site too, really beautiful.

Camped at the end of the July school holidays. It was busy, but still very peaceful. Will be back for sure on a less busy weekend. Thanks to the caretaker for your great work.
Gteat camping spot, beautiful views and nice and quiet. The amenities were very clean and the water was nice and hot.
We didn't see any platypus in the creek but there was plenty of birdlife, including kingfishers.
Tyalgum is a lovely, quirky little village with a great pub and fabulous gelato shop. Flutterbies offers great food and service with a touch of nostalgia.

What a lovely little place in the middle of heaven. We woke up to birds singing and rainbows each morning, and our children felt welcomed and made friends with all of the other children. The showers were clean, the camp kitchen helpful, and when we got stuck leaving someone came within 20 minutes to help us out. The hospitality was nothing short of fantastic and we will come back and recommend it to everyone we know. The volunteers are all absolute treasures and the community should be very proud of what they have built! ❤️

Tyalgum Campground is a top spot. The camp hosts are extremely friendly and helpful, the park and amenities are well maintained and it’s only a short walk into the village of Tyalgum. Tyalgum has such a great vibe, quirky shops and is central to so many great scenic drives and places to visit. Will definitely be back 👍

The camping grounds were immaculate as were the bathroom facilities. Lovely hot showers, and great service from staff. beautiful views of the mountains... even though they were often shrouded in mist. Thank you.
Walking distance to the town. Quiet, Peaceful Camping Ground, big sites, ground well taken care of. Power and water, clean amenities. Friendly and helpful caretakers. Would definitely stay again.
