Nestled in the beautiful rainforest of Commissioners Creek, Trickling Waters Retreat is a peaceful sanctuary where forest, water, and wildlife come together to create a truly grounding escape. Our land offers a blend of comfort and raw natural beauty. Wake to birdsong, fall asleep to the soft rush of the creek, , wander through open grassy spaces, or relax by the water’s edge. The creek flows year-round sometimes deep enough for a refreshing dip, and other times shallow, cool, and perfect for wading, creek-walking, or just sitting with your feet in the water while listening to the trees. In the evenings, gather around your private fire pit, , each site offers a unique firepit experience with wood provided, perfect for slow conversations, warm or cold drinks, and unwinding by the glow of the flames. and letting the stars take over the sky. It’s a quiet, peaceful spot where guests often tell us their minds finally stop racing. We currently offer a spacious secluded glamping tent overlooking the creek, plus beautifully spread-out grassy areas ideal for campers seeking a true nature experience. Guests also have access to our modern amenities pavilion, hot shower, flushing toilet, and a shared outdoor wash-up area to make your stay effortless. Whether you’re a couple seeking a romantic nature getaway, solo traveller wanting space to think, or small group looking to unplug and breathe again, Trickling Waters Retreat offers a calm, memorable escape on one of Commissioners Creek’s most serene pockets of land.

Tree Nook is an open grassy clearing, that sits between tall trees with the creek running along the back of the site. The creek changes with the seasons, sometimes shallow and trickling, sometimes fuller with trickling mini cascades Amenities are in very close proximity, just a short walk across the lawn. Guests have access to power points, a wash-up sink, a hot outdoor shower and a flushing toilet. Everything is simple and close by, making this site easy and convenient while still feeling private and tucked into nature.

Sacred Rock Campsite

Power points for charging, Potable water, toilets, and our shared camp sink are all within easy walking distance from this site. Sacred Rock features a large stone fire circle. When it is booked this fire circle is reserved exclusively for that booking and a Reserved sign will be displayed. When sacred rock is not booked, the fire circle may be used as a communal gathering space for guests staying on the property. Sacred Rock is our most spacious creekside site. A wide, open lawn, with a natural stone circle at its heart. It’s a the perfect place for families or small groups to spread out, share stories and watch the sky turn from pink to deep velvet over the tree line. This site features the Sacred Rock gathering circle, a ring of large boulders and a communal fire pit. Every rock in the circle was unearthed right here on the property. They’re likely part of the ancient volcanic landscape shaped by the Tweed / Wollumbin shield volcano, whose eruptions around 23 million years ago formed the huge caldera and rich valleys that surround Doon Doon and Mount Warning / Wollumbin today. We don’t know the exact story of these particular stones, whether they’re old lava boulders or once sat in another rocky outcrop nearby, but we do know they carry a sense of deep time. Sitting around the fire, with the creek murmuring in the background and the dark silhouette of the forest behind, it’s easy to see why we started calling this place Sacred Rock, it just feels like a spot for slow conversations, quiet reflection and connection. From your camp you have: A generous grassy area for tents, swags or a small camper The Sacred Rock fire circle for cooking and evening gatherings (subject to fire restrictions) it is a short stroll to the shared amenities area Sacred Rock Campsite is ideal for couples wanting extra space, two families camping together, or a small group of friends who’d like their own big fire circle under the stars.

Tucked away in a peaceful corner of the property, this shady creekside campsite offers the perfect blend of privacy and natural beauty. Your site sits beside a lush green clearing beneath a wide, sheltering tree, with a fire already set up for relaxed evenings outdoors. directly beside your site, you’ll find our freshwater rockpool, “During extended hot weather, the creek may stop flowing and the rockpool can become shallow and still. It’s still a peaceful spot to sit, cool your feet, and enjoy the birds and butterflies, but may not always be suitable for swimming.” The site is flat, grassy, easy to access, and close enough to the amenities for convenience while still feeling secluded. There’s plenty of room for a tent, shade throughout the day, and direct access to our creekline walking areas. This is the perfect spot for campers who want a peaceful corner, the sound of running water, and a shady place to unwind by the fire.

Tucked away within a tranquil garden and surrounded by gentle bushland, this fully self-contained cabin offers a peaceful and private escape, immersed in nature. Wake to birdsong, fresh air, and the natural beauty of trickling waters retreat. The cabin is thoughtfully positioned to offer privacy, with its own dedicated ammenities including a private bathroom with shower and toilet, plus a washing machine and dryer for guest use. There is no need to share facilities with other guests. Guests are welcome to enjoy a leisurely stroll, through the garden, down to the creek or wander up to the small orchard at the top end of the property. For everyones's comfort and privacy, we only ask that guests give the other campsites and glamp guests privacy. inside, the cabin features one gueen-sized bed in the bedroom and a fold-out fouton lounge in the living area, for which linen can be requested. The cabin is most suitable for couples or solo travellers, seeking a quiet, nature-based retreat with the comforts of home

Creekside Luxe Glamping Tent
This glamping spot is truly one of the most beautiful places we’ve stayed. We were so pleasantly surprised by how thoughtfully Kat had provided everything needed for a luxurious camping experience. Having power in the tent was a huge bonus, along with the large fridge, microwave, and fan. The fire being all set up and ready to go was such a lovely extra touch. The creek is absolutely stunning, surrounded by lush green grass, and the setting feels very private and peaceful. The shower was amazing, and honestly, everything was just perfect. We would highly recommend this special place and will definitely be back. Thank you, Kat, for making our stay so special. Your communication and the effort you put into creating Trickling Waters Glamping was truly exceptional.

Firstly not sure if I can sum up this HipCamp in such a small review. From first making the booking, before leaving and during my stay the communication was quick and all instructions were really clear. The property is stunning, well kept and the facilities are amazing. The shower/toilet is phenomenal, clean and everything you need. The camp kitchen with sink and power is a nice touch. Wood fire was filled with wood and all I had to do was light it. Would highly recommend staying here and look forward to coming again soon. In the top 3 Hipcamps I have stayed it (been using Hipcamp years).

Great camp, plenty of space and friendly hosts. There is a shower/toilet and sink, and some power points to use as well. This place is so secluded, set on lush rolling hills, minimal phone reception (great to escape for a few days!). Highly recommend and would return for sure. Thank you for having us!

Creekside Luxe Glamping Tent
This place is a little slice of paradise! Perfect getaway with nothing overlooked! Cleanliness, amenities and communication were fantastic. It was lovely to have some time away with family and disconnect - played games, talked and lazed on our floats in the rock pools! I can see why it is called Trickling Waters and it was a beautiful sound to go to sleep and wake up too!!! Thanks so much Kat!

Great stay! Amenities were so clean and a very well manicured camping area with lits of romm between sites. So peaceful with only the sound of birds. Hosts were very accomodating and assisted us when we needed some help with our car 🙂

Beautiful, clean, quiet and peaceful. The shared space was a life saver for cooking and cleaning up. Toilet and shower was cleaned daily as well as the bins being changed. Will be returning!

Beautiful property, with amazing facilities. The little bathroom and sink we were expecting, but there were other little touches that were so gratefully appreciated. The sites were all labeled with there title and also included my name. Also rare to find was a bin at each site and the bathroom block , also very appreciated. There were supplies at the sink and a box of games

This glamping tent at Trickling waters was the most peaceful and calm place I’ve been in a long time. There really is a trickling stream! The buzz at dusk is a strange kind of deafening too (frogs, crickets, cicadas). I needed a place to decompress over the holidays and this place did not disappoint. All the privacy I needed but the hosts were just an inbox away if I needed anything at all. To top it off this place is dog friendly and the creek was a perfect cool off for mine!

Stayed in the huge glamping tent, a nice private site, with a beautiful shallow creek. We were surprised to have power in the tent with a large fridge and microwave etc. highly recommend for a couple's get away.

Rockpool Corner Campsite
The campsite was beautifully maintained, and the bathroom was spotlessly clean. The kitchen area- with sink, counter, and stools - was thoughtfully set up and very convenient. Our dog absolutely loved paddling in the creek, and we felt completely at ease relaxing in such a peaceful, nature- filled setting.
