Located 15-minute drive to the glorious beaches of Jervis Bay, 2.5 hrs south of Sydney and 2.5hrs east of Canberra The Wandy Donkey Camp offers 150 acre property for you to rest without the hustle and bustle of the south coast. Created for families wanting to explore the beauty of the South Coast. With a natural stream that traverses the property there is much for you to observe and enjoy. Watching the Cows and Sheep graze or admiring the Alpacas long necks. There is also donkeys you might get to interact with along with seasonal (spring) baby goats. You will be able to sit with nature by the little stream watching for the wombats, kangaroos and lizards as they do their thing. Only 15 minute drive to nearest beaches, you can enjoy some great cafes and restaurants around the local Shoalhaven area. Travel 30 minutes south to Bendalong and feed the stingrays. Head west up the mountain to beautiful Jerrawangla lookout and Tianjara Falls. Located in the heart of the Shoalhaven, The Wandy Donkey Camp is central to all your coastal experiences. Kate your host, has a wealth of local knowledge that will get you started on your South Coast adventure. This is a, you bring, you take, experience leaving no physical trace behind. A Fantastic place to stay for a family to Retreat and Revive. It is a working farm, so please note there are many animals, they make noise and they do need to stay in their right paddocks (that's the plan). So please shut a gate if you found it closed. When you arrive, please phone either Kate 0460691150 or Dave 0477100600. If we are available, you will be greeted at the front gate near the letter box, by Kate or Dave and shown to your site. If we are not available to greet you there, we will give you directions over the phone. You can come and go as you please as long as you keep the gates shut or left as your found them. Pitch your tent by the stream and enjoy happy hour. You will hear the hum of the highway and have a tree for shade to relax by at your site. The sites are large and well-spaced apart so you will not feel too crowded. Some have a slight slope. The property is 150 acres of farmland and bush. You will have the opportunity to explore more of the property ask Kate or Dave for a more up close and personal interactive experience with the goats, alpacas, sheep, cows and donkeys. There are local animals who live by the creek so be mindful of the wombat holes, Lizards, and Tea Tree that may have snakes and/or ticks present. If you have your Tennis gear with you can hire the tennis court by booking online with the Shoalhaven City Council. just ask Kate. There is also a play equipment at the local Tennis Courts on the highway. There is a community information board at the local hall to help keep you up to date with any emergency events in the local area. Whatever your concerns are please just let Kate or Dave know and we will help you figure it out.

This site is located on a farm in a grassy paddock near a water hole. You will need to call upon arrival to be taken to your site, Kate 0460691150 or Dave 0477100600. Please take ALL your rubbish/waste with you. You will hear road noise from the princes Highway but don't let that stop you from enjoying the scenery. You will have other campers drive past your site to get to theirs. Fires are weather dependent. There is a port-a-loo approximately 200m from your site.

This is a site designed for you to enjoy a sleep in the Paddock. There is a Port-a-loo approximately 200m you can walk or drive to. Nil electricity so go old school living with bare essentials. Bush Cabin is a Tiny Cabin on a hill in the bush. Perfect for couples or singles to relax in and enjoy the sounds of the bush. Guests will get to take in the natural views of the Australian bush land and relax on the Gazebo great for morning yoga, meditation practice or just lay on the day bed and read a good book. The cabin has a kitchenette with fridge, composting toilet, shower and air conditioning. Perfect for your relax and unwind getaway without any hussel and bussel.

Really enjoyed our camping here. We didn’t land till late on the Friday night and Kate give such clear instructions on where we needed to go, she’s was extremely helpful and quick to get back to my messages. Loved the open field for camping and surrounded by trees. When we came back on the Saturday evening we were greeted by a few kangaroos beside our tents, which was so nice to see in the wild as we don’t see them much coming from the city. The morning haze and sounds of different birds and kates roosters in the morning was lovely to wake up to. We got to pet and feed the animals which was an added bonus to our trip 😁 Really enjoyed our trip and the only thing that could do with work is the toilet/ bathroom situation. Otherwise couldn’t fault the camp!

Amazing camping spot!

We had such a fantastic stay at the Wandy Donkey Camp. We felt really at home and comfortable surrounded by Aussie bush and farm, and Kate was a total champ! The farm and the animals were such a bonus, and we will definitely go back! Close enough to amazing beaches, but far enough for Aussie serenity. Highly recommend.

My girlfriend and I loved camping at the Wandy Donkey camp. It was so spacious and private with plenty of shade. Kate was also very friendly and welcoming. We'd definitely go back.

We loved staying at Kate's farm :). It was peaceful and very relaxing. Our son really enjoyed helping to feed the goats and donkeys. Thanks again for having us!

The Wandy Donkey Camp
We had a really lovely stay at Wandy Donkey Camp. The surroundings were beautiful, and waking up to the morning mist was magical. The kids enjoyed spotting the wildlife - kookaburras, kangaroos, water dragons, and even a wombat. Kate made our stay special by letting us feed the goats, cuddle a chook, and brush the donkeys. Our kids loved it! She also suggested visiting Bendalong Beach Boat Harbour (30min drive from camp) to feed the stingrays, which was a fun experience, and the beach itself was beautiful. Kate and Dave were so warm and welcoming, which made our stay even better. We had a wonderful time and would happily come back. Highly recommended!

Kate was easy to deal with in the lead-up and provided clear, helpful information before arrival. The campsite is easy to access and just a short, straightforward drive from the Jervis Bay beaches. Kate and Dave were very welcoming and took the time to check in and make sure everything was going well. The sites are large, flat, and grassy, with enough space between campers to feel private and peaceful. Amenities were clean and well maintained, and the daily donkey feeding was a real highlight for the kids. A great spot overall — we’d happily visit again.

My friends and I had a fantastic stay at Kate’s place. It was such a great big open space, quiet, no stepping on anyone else’s toes! Kate and Dave are so kind and friendly as well. I recommend this spot and we will be back.

Amazing spot to camp and watch the stars, kangaroos and cows. Jervis Bay and other amazing beaches nearby. Kate is super friendly and dropped off extra firewood when we ran out and gave us an astronomy lesson. The spot we had was amazing, your far away from everyone else so you feel like you have the place to yourself. Second time here, will keep coming back

A hidden gem on the NSW south coast

The host, Kate, and her partner, Dave, are very welcoming people and gave up their time to allow our granddaughters to meet and help feed their goats, donkeys and chickens. Our granddaughters also enjoyed seeing the cows, sheep, alpacas and a large mob of kangaroos on the property. If you’re after some relaxing downtime in nature, I would highly recommend the Wandy Donkey Camp with its large open spaces and lovely outlook to the surrounding hills.

We absolutely loved camping on Kate’s property. There is so much space, acres of lush land that feel open, calm, and beautifully maintained. Waking up to the sounds of animals in the morning was a real highlight and made the experience feel very peaceful. We barely heard the noise of the road despite being close to it. The location is excellent, with very easy access to the popular beaches around the Jervis Bay area. A big plus for us was that the camping is dog-friendly, and the generous space between sites meant we never felt crowded or too close to other campers. Kate took the time to introduce us to her animals, the goaties, alpacas, and donkeys which was such a special touch. Overall a relaxing and memorable camping spot that we’d happily return to.

We absolutely loved our stay. It’s dog-friendly, wonderfully quiet, and full of wildlife. Kate and Dave were amazing hosts and went above and beyond, they even helped us jump-start our car when the battery went flat.

Very welcoming host, we love Kate! Excellent site, massive clearing, so not much privacy, but big distance between campers so we didn’t mind. Flat grassland with almost no bugs (in Jan). Visited during the night by a beautiful kelpie which was a shock but a welcome surprise. Would definitely stay again.

Easy to access. Effective and polite communication from the host, Kate. Lovely site with fire pits provided and plenty of flat, even ground. Short drive to the coast and Booderee national park, perfect for a getaway to visit multiple locations in jervis bay. My partner and I had a wonderful stay.

We loved our stay here. Great hosts, plenty of space, flat ground and cute animals to feed in the morning. The portaloo was a bonus and surprisingly clean and didn't smell! If you need to fill your caravan water tanks before arriving, you can do so at the rec reserve just 2 minutes away. Great location to explore the surrounding areas. We loved swimming with the kids at Bendalong and at the river near Mona Mona playground in the Jervis Bay area. Will definitely stay again if visiting the area.

We really enjoyed staying at The Wandy Donkey Camp. Kate and Dave are great hosts, very welcoming and nothing was a stress. The property was easy to find. We don’t have a 4 wheel drive and had no trouble getting in and out. Loved the space between camps, there’s good distance. The animals are beautiful and very well cared for, feeding them was lots of fun. We will definitely be back!!

It was a beautiful site. Great location, 15min drive from the beach. Only around 10 sites on the paddock, decent amount of privacy though we thought it was only 4 site on the whole paddock. Sadly the toilet was blocked, which we find unusable. We also underestimated how many mosquitoes there would be, would highly recommend using insect repellent for a good night's sleep.
