Welcome to SLEEPY HOLLOW MANOR ESTATE, A family farm Acting under the state government agricultural tourism reform allowing primary producers and livestock farms such as us on RU2 property to have visitors. As part of this we have to follow some simple protocol! Unfortunately, we have had some issues with local council which now monitor our movements closely and we ask that you follow these simple rules extremely closely failure to do may cause us to reject your booking and may incur penalties to both of us as the landholders and also the camper. 1. STRICTLY No Caravans, RV's, Tents or Any Camping site is to be set up within 50 meters of the creek. 2. No more that 20 people camping on the property at one time. 3. Zero impact to the land and surrounds treat it like you would a national park. 4. All waste must be bagged and taken off site with you. Whether you're watching and listening to the water trickle through the creeks or water holes home our saw back turtles and if your quite and wait you'll have a chance sighting of our family of platypus... please take care to be ultra quiet in this area as they will move home if there's is too much activity or constant noise over period of time we are trying to share yet preserve them..... You're welcome to walk along our streams & we have some short Forrest bush walks and see some of our beautiful bird resident kingfishers, tawny frogmouth owls, black cockatoos, wild bush turkeys much more or maybe you just want to kicking back with your feet up watching your campfire cook a stewing your camp oven, either way you'll be sure to have a getaway to remember.... Our camp site located in northern river's region. Roughly halfway between Gold Coast and Byron Bay. Sleepy Hollow Road in the Sleepy Hollow Valley, we are just 5 minutes drive to the beach, 25 minutes from Byron Bay, theres many attractions near by the list is endless with amazing hikes walks and bike rides the iconic Tweed Valley Rail Trail is only 5 minutes drive away not to mention we are 10 minutes drive of the North Byron festival grounds making it a an ideal spot to set up camp if your headed to events such as the Falls festival, splendour in the grass, bluesfest and many more events that are held in the area. Thank you for your call with how to get into the property. We didnt actually end up staying as we realise it wasnt practical with our doggy just having had surgery. It lookedd like a lovely peaceful spot though

I really enjoyed staying at this Hipcamp It was my first ever time doing a solo camping adventure All the instructions on how to get there were very clear and after I set up in a great location Tom came around and checked up on. Everybody made sure everything was fine and although the weather wasn’t great I had a wonderfully peaceful night and was woken up in the morning of the resident Cows. I wished I had a booked an extra night, but I definitely will be back

Site advertised was not actually available for camping. Entry only via 127 not 118, which is actually where the platypus hole is. Not accessible by car and caravan from 127. Portable Toilets not working. Multiple campers walking around at 5am searching for working toilets, who ended up leaving. $160 for two nights for a patch of grass, not as advertised without advertised amenities is just not good enough.

Nice spot and plenty of space but it would have been good to know the creek wasn’t really running or swimmable. Maybe a bit overpriced for a Paddock. Struggled to see the real value for money.

So peaceful and sharing a morning coffee with the beautiful cows was a bonus. Will visit again to swim in the creek when you get some rain.

Ode to sleepy hollow

Our dog had lots of fun. Trees provided shade from the sun. The cows went home when the day was done. In terms of towns and beaches, Pottsville was a close one. Campsites were evenly spaced. Very relaxing, the day was slow paced. So many stars in the aerospace. We spent so many hours at the fireplace (2pm until 12am). The toilets were as clean as could be. Our time there was care-free. Rolling hills as far as we could see. Time so fun we forgot about tv. A bit scary at night… bourgeoisie?

Absolutely breathtaking! We stayed at this hidden gem of a camping spot and it was truly magical. Being right on a creek created the perfect ambiance and our dog loved going in and out all afternoon. Waking up to friendly cows grazing around us was the highlight. Super peaceful and utterly serene - we'd highly recommend this spot to anyone. 5 stars isn't enough!

Very pleasant stay away from everything and still close to the M1, so easy to access. Plenty space for each camper on a huge property. Perfect with kids with a lot of things to explore + cows. A bit expensive for basic amenities but that was a last minute booking on a busy weekend so, fair I guess.

Platypus creek was an ideal location for wanting secluded and serene camping, yet a 5-10 min drive to Pottsville town centre. Tom is an excellent host who made the whole process from booking to leaving easy. The camp site is extremely well cared for, clean & unspoilt by previous campers. We recommend Platypus creek to new campers or seasoned travellers.

A beautiful farm that was peaceful & had ample space/sites. Kids loved the local cows (& calves) roaming the property. Very relaxing getaway & Tom was super helpful.

Great spot and view. Easy access. Host helped out with firewood and the cows roaming around were a nice addition in the morning. Clean toilet and grass was mowed just right

We loved camping at platypus creek at sleepy hollow. We especially loved the cows who showed up in the paddock in the morning. All the calves were so cute.

We had a great stay at Sleepy hollow Estate We received a recommendation and rightly so It did not disappoint. The land was very well looked after and so spacious. We parked right on the top ridge and had 360 views of the land. We found the property easy to find. We will be back for sure. Tom the host was very easy to chat with and checked in to see if we were happy throughout our stay.

Magical.. pure magic. Beautiful beautiful land and a lovely family running the farm. Everywhere you look your met with beauty, creeks, hills, cows, kookaburras, beetles, bees, wildflowers…. and so much more. Here everything slowed down. Oh and at night time, the stars, pure magic yet again. Perfect place to get away. Thankyou for the stay :)

Absolutely beautiful property! Heaps of space away from other campers. We adored our spot near the creek, which we had a little paddle in. Fire wood available to purchase, and pet friendly! Tom (who owns the property) was such a legend and so friendly and helpful. The wake-up call from the friendly cows making their way through our campsite to the next paddock was just an amazing bonus and was definitely the highlight of our stay! We will absolutely be back!

We stayed here with our caravan during QLD school holidays and had all the space in the world with no other campers in site. Our kids loved exploring the property, riding their bikes, hanging with the cows, and playing creek side.
