The Riverside Farm Escape is a family owned cattle farm situated on the picturesque Wang Wauk River in Minimbah, Mid North Coast NSW. Our well maintained, grassy campground and RV stop provides spectacular views of the Wang Wauk River, which flows into the magnificent Wallis Lakes. The Riverside property spans 103 acres of rich farmland and has over 500 meters of river frontage, ideal for kayaking, paddle boarding and fishing, with water access to Forster / Tuncurry. A gravel boat ramp provides easy access to Wang Wauk River ideal for small boats/tinnies. The property also boasts a beautiful dam, full of blooming lilies, a favourite for the kids to kayak and swim. Surrounding natural bushland is teeming with wildlife, including wallabies, kangaroos, lizards, and vibrant native bird species. Access: Suitable for 2WD and 4WD vehicles Site Options: Powered and non-powered sites available. Non powered sites on the River front, Lily Dam and Paddock Views. Fire Pits: Provided at all sites for cozy evenings under the stars Firewood: Conveniently available for purchase Pet-Friendly: Bring your furry friends (on-leash at all times) Please clean up after them. Gorgeous place to visit! Heaps to do for kids - swings, open fields, hidden tracks, kayaks, sandpit - our boys were entertained sun up til sun down! Super quiet, super well kept and heaps of fun bird visitors! Would absolutely stay again and recommend.

RIVERSIDE SITES
We booked in for 3 nites on sites 9, 10 & 10a, great spot for solar. The river was only 10m from our van & plenty of mudcrabs on offer in the river. The sites were large green & mowed. Richard was very easy to communicate with before, during & after our stay. Nabiac is only 10mins away with all conveniences available including caravan repairs & spares.

This site was recommended to us by friends. The booking process was stress free & communication with Richard was very reassuring. The sites are large, our group caught 6 mudcrabs over the 3 days straight out the front of our camp-site. Nabiac is 10 mins away with all amenities available even caravan repairs & accessories. Would definitely recommend this Hipcamp

We had a fantastic time, we were on Riverside site 6 with our caravan for 2 nights. Plenty of space on the sites and beautifully maintained. There's so much to do we kayaked/fished on the river, swam in the dam, there's firepits on every site, a playground for the kids with a big sandpit, walking trails to explore and heaps more. We would highly recommend this beautiful hipcamp. We'll definitely be back with our children and grandchildren next time. Thanks so much Richard and Roslyn 😊

Amazing spot for fishing - kayaks are provided, kids swam in the lily pond, fire pit for s’mores! All the fun things. We had powered site, would have loved to have water too if that’s available in future. All around incredible!! Highly rate it and incredible hosts.

We had a wonderful overnight stop travelling between Sydney and Brisbane. We had a peaceful, private spot with plenty of space to spread out and relax. The property was easy to find, safe and offered great views of the river. Facilities were clean and well looked after, and everything was exactly as described in the listing, which made arrival and set-up simple. Our host was welcoming, responsive to messages, and gave clear directions. We would happily stay again and recommend this spot to anyone looking for an easy, no-fuss break between Sydney and Brisbane.

Richard and Roslyn’s Riverside Farm Escape is one of our favourite Hipcamps. The sites are clearly marked, really well maintained, and the grass was mint. There’s heaps for the kids to do — a small soccer pitch, canoeing on the river and the lily dam, plus clean toilets and showers. Fishing down on the river was lively as well. If you’re travelling with kids, they’ll be well and truly entertained. This will definitely be our go-to stop when heading past.

Lovely hosts and spot. Beautiful river to swim in, fish and paddle board. Great location so close to Forster yet far enough away to enjoy the stars and peace and quiet of the tranquil bush setting. Massive camp sites that were all very well maintained. Would highly recommend and will visit again.

We had a great time. Site 11 was very shaded, right next to the river. We have caravans and getting out was not straight forward. Tight to turn around and a steep and twisting track out. This is a lovely property and hosts were great.

I can’t recommend this accommodation enough. From the easy process of finding the campsite to the Lily pond to friendly staff this farm welcome on their land. The beautiful views of the wildlife were to die for.

We have had multiple stays at Richards & Roslyn's land over the last 2 years, and trip by trip the place has improved so much. They show great appreciation to all of their guest and an example was them bringing Zooper Doopers round to all of the visitors. I highly recommend visiting this place!

Perfection! Bush camping at it's finest. Extremely large marked sites right on the banks of river. Dogs on leash allowed. However our dog was attacked by the dog next door (not tethered), and another group had a leash on their dog, but not tied down, so their dog was able to run around freely. Our dog was ok, but shaken. Certainly not the fault of Riverside Retreat, but shows those campers who just don't care. Campers were taking advantage of the fishing, kayaking and swimming. So many activities set up for campers, including complimentary kayaks, water trampoline, ball court, beach area for little ones. Just amazing location, suited to children of all ages. Fires allowed in pits that were provided. I cannot fault this camp. Just perfect!

Honestly what’s not to love, the camp ground itself was beautiful and the animals were gorgeous. There are so many activities available I wish we spent longer! From the Kayaks, to the pedal boat, to the water trampoline (also a great spot to lay and watch the stars) We rocked up on one of the hottest days this year and the owners drove around and shared some zooper doopers and had a chat, a very serene and welcoming stay our little group will definitely be back again!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Riverside. We had a large spot (13) with a power hookup, and fire pit. The space is large, open with beautiful tress, very well maintained, so peaceful and really relaxing. We only had 2 nights but it was a perfect wind down and relax for us. Our host Richard was very welcoming when we arrived and we met some workers on the farm tending to the cows. Kayaks are available for use on the river. Highly recommend!!

We loved our long weekend stay by the river. The weather was super hot but the Lily Pond and the river were great for cooling off and there was always a shady spot on our site to relax. Having toilets and a shower were a real bonus. We never seemed to have to wait and the shower was good to rinse off after the river. We brought kayaks and an SUP which were good for fishing on the river. Our dog loves coming with us camping so it was nice he could come, everyone seemed to respect keeping dogs on lead so there were no issues. We drove 5 mins to Nabiac each day for coffee and groceries and one day went a bit further (25mins) to Buladelah to play golf and had lunch at the pub on the river. It’s allocated sites and Richard the owner shows you to your spot. Now that we have been here we know which sites we prefer so we can choose them next time.

As soon as we arrived, we already knew we’d want to come back soon. Thoughtfully laid out and great facilities, easy to find and a warm welcome from the hosts all made for a relaxing long weekend. Absolute 10/10 camping experience. Well done and thanks for having us!
