Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
We call it The Pines; you can call it home for the night. Welcome to our working beef cattle farm tucked into the beautiful Towamba Valley. This is a truly unique rural getaway where you can watch the cattle graze, enjoy the incredible night skies, and camp right next to a piece of local history. Our camping paddock features 4 spacious campsites arranged around a fascinating landmark: a 100-year-old concrete cricket pitch sitting right in the middle of the field! Bring a bat and ball for a classic backyard game, or simply enjoy the wide-open space. When you want to cool off, a dedicated track takes just a 3-minute stroll down to the pristine Towamba River. The water is perfect for swimming, floating, and kayaking, making it an ideal base for your next river adventure. The 4 campsites are spaced out across a 9-acre paddock to ensure all guests have their own private space. From the campsite, you are 30 minutes from Eden and its beautiful beaches. Eden is also home to the Killer Whale Museum. In under an hour, you can be at historic Pambula or Bega (the Sapphire Coast rural hub), or Merimbula (oysters, oysters, oysters). My personal favourite place to go is Oaklands at Pambula. There is something for the whole family. 😉 All of these destinations are beautiful, and rest assured your vehicle will stay beautiful too because the roads to our farm gate are all sealed! We have firewood for sale if you do not wish to bring your own. You will receive a generous amount for the small fee you pay. Keep an eye out for the wildlife too. Birds, deer, kangaroos, and wombats all call Towamba home. Full phone reception is available if you are with Telstra. A complimentary cricket set will be left on the pitch when booked.
