The Old Gully Pub- Camping
We recently camped out the back of the Old Gully pub. I have to admit first impressions were mixed as there seemed to be quite a bit of junk laying around. BUT once we met Beryck and got talking it all fell into place. Beryck showed us to a flat spot out the back and where the facilities were. It was a quiet night and after very hot showers we had an awesome sleep. Beryck shared the history of the area and his plans for the future of the Old Gully Pub. I explored some of the artifices out the back and came across the drive train from an old shearing shed which I found intriguing. We wish Beryck well in his plans and recommend that campers passing through Warialda give the Old Gully Pub a second look!

This amazing historical pub is now a private residence with rooms and camping run by friendly, terrific hosts, who happen to have the sweetest dogs. My room had a gorgeous antique brass bed and the best mattress and linen I've ever slept in away from home. There is so much to see in this pub, so much history. It's really wonderful. The hosts have provided some lovely touches. Photos don't do it justice. Highly recommended.

The Old Gully Pub- Camping
Wow what a fantastic place to camp at. Beryck and Rose are amazing hosts nothing is too much trouble. Heaps for kids to do really inviting and relaxing atmosphere. Rooms are available at the pub if you get sick of camping. Warialda Rail is a great place to base yourself to explore the area. Thank you again we will definitely be back.

Being totally honest we thought, " is this going to be OK " at first being an old retired couple, BUT, Beryck and Rose are great. They are trying to renovate an old pub and work full time. They collect all sorts of stuff which at first might seem like you arrived at a mix match of everything BUT again, it is great. Lots of things to look at. Close to the surrounds and national Park. They are just wonderful people and if we are ever that way again we will stop and see how the renovations are going.

Pull up stumps here for the night .
Great place for a snooze hot shower, a look at a 118yr old pub and some good old fashioned country hospitality.

After a week outback it was wonderful to be able to have a hot shower and be able to camp on green grass. Beryck and Rose were very welcoming and ensured we had everything we needed. The Old Pub is interesting and quirky, we would be happy to stay again.
