Had a wonderful time camping here! It's very peaceful. Lyall is extremely welcoming and happily showed us around his farm, even took us for a ride on his buggy to feed his cow 😁. He provided us with tools to cut wood and was a fantastic host overall. He was helpful and shared lots of details about the surrounding area. We felt very comfortable here and would recommend this campsite!

We had a great weekend camping at Sweet Mountain View. The site is peaceful, well set up, and the views are exactly what you hope for, a beautiful, quiet spot to properly switch off.
Lyall and Christine were fantastic hosts: welcoming, helpful, and easy to communicate with, while still giving us plenty of privacy. Everything was straightforward and well organised, which made the stay really enjoyable.
Would happily recommend Sweet Mountain View to anyone looking for a relaxed, scenic camping getaway. We’d definitely come back.

Stayed here with my 5yo daughter. Christine and Lyall are great hosts, with Lyall giving us a guided walk of the camping area’s creek and billabongs and Christine inviting my daughter to help feed the lovely donkeys in the evening which was much appreciated! Campsite was peaceful and well maintained.

We stayed at Sweet mountain View for 2 nights, Lyall and Kristine were super helpful showing us around. We had the whole place to ourselves and was a blast with the abundance of wildlife. the waterfalls are close by and we had a great time swimming etc.

This place is truly something special. From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed by the hosts — they are genuinely some of the kindest, most thoughtful people we’ve ever met. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, even knitting us scarves to keep warm, which honestly melted our hearts. That level of care is so rare and made the experience unforgettable.
The property itself is absolutely stunning. Rolling green hills, peaceful open space, and the most beautiful scenery in every direction. It felt like total seclusion and serenity, yet everything we needed was right there. Swimming in the waterfall was a highlight of the trip — so refreshing and such a special experience. The friendly cows wandering nearby just added to the charm and made it feel like a true countryside escape.
If you’re looking for a place to slow down, reconnect with nature, and enjoy genuine hospitality, this is it. We left feeling completely relaxed and already talking about when we can come back. This spot is truly heaven on earth — we couldn’t recommend it more highly.

Beautiful private area and great grassy campsite. Lyall and Christine were lovely. Close to town and close to waterfalls and swimming holes. Super friendly people and Lyall gave us a good tour of the property. Some friendly donkeys and cattle to meet between relaxing too. Urbenville pub was great on Saturday night with a few lads playing band tunes on the back of a Ute.

The bottom camp allowed access to kayak the beautiful Tooloom creek about 3.5km to the Falls. A very serene and picturesque location surrounded by remnant volcano's, greenfields, curious cattle and a variety of birdlife. Keep watch for the Platypus and Yowies. Couldn't get more friendly or helpful hosts.

Sweet Mountain View was a lovely camp in a very pretty area. We had no problems getting in and set up. Lyall and Christine were lovely, very helpful with giving information on the best way to get to the falls etc and generously allowed us to collect firewood from the property and have a lovely campfire each night. Cute donkeys there too.

Lovely peaceful farm. Lyall and Christine greeted us on arrival with a map of the area and an info sheet then guided us to our camp-site. The creek area is beautiful, we wished we had brought our kayaks. A trip to nearby Tooloom Falls and Little Falls is highly recommended. Had a visit from the cattle each morning to greet the day and enjoyed meeting the donkeys. Looking forward to returning.

My wife and I stayed for just one night but it was so nice just to silt around a nice campfire and we brought our kayaks with us and paddled down the creek the 4ish klm to the top of the waterfall it was very peaceful

Well our stay a sweet mountain view. What can we say we had this Lysol and Christine’s property to our selves the weekend we stayed. The mountain view were nothing but spectacular not a sight to get bored off. They have creek if you sit long enough where the stairs are you may just see a platypus swimming around. They have cows as the backdrop in their paddocks and a few donkeys that you can pat them. If you’re after just time out and the serenity this is the place for you.

Me and my partner stayed for 2 nights and it wasn't enough. Lyall and Christine were awesome hosts introuducing us to norman and his crew of well behaved cows. They even brang us firewood they found on their route feeding the herd one afternoon.
We explored mountain tops and the falls which is basically in their own backyard. Would recommend and 10l10 for the spot and hosting. Will be back with my parents to try the caravan site!! I'll send some pics through soon :)

The farm itself offered a cast of characters we won’t forget, from curious donkeys to what we affectionately dubbed ‘Cow Alley’, along with an amazing variety of birdlife. We were also lucky enough to spot turtles, which made the stay feel even more special.
Overall, it was the perfect mix of privacy, scenery, and connection, both with the land and with the people who make it what it is.

Would highly recommend coming to Lyall and Christine’s property to camp as we had an amazing experience. They came and greeted us as we rolled in and took us to our site.
Beautiful property with stunning views and great private camp sites for anyone who wants to have some peace and quiet. As well as being able to see the Milky Way on a clear night.

It is a lovely property set in a great location, with nice surroundings and beautiful nature.
The sites are far enough away from eachother you won't hear your neighbours. The donkeys are amazing and just add to the lovely stay along with the super cool and friendly owners who was great for a chat or any local bush/hiking information you could possibly want. Highly recommend for anyone who is looking for a scenic relaxing beautiful getaway

Everything was well communicated prior to and during our stay. The hosts were lovely! Not at all intrusive and very helpful.
Unfortunately, lots of wet weather pre-arrival meant we couldn't access the muddy track to the soggy campsite, so we stayed up near the host's cottage - a beautiful outlook, and very special on those cold foggy mornings. Elmer, the donkey, kept us entertained too!
Our dogs enjoyed the space and we were able to check out the local waterfalls nearby as well. We very much enjoyed our stay and will hopefully be back after some dry weather next time, though we were well looked after.

Such a lovely experience! The hosts were the sweetest couple with the most adorable farm, and their donkeys absolutely melted my heart. They even took us on a trip to Tooloom Falls in Urbenville, which was such a special treat. Everything about the stay felt personal and welcoming – I absolutely loved the trip and would visit again in a heartbeat.
