Overall, our stay was nice, though there were a couple of things worth mentioning.
There wasn’t any potable water available in either of the two tanks on site, which caught us a little off guard as we’d only packed enough for drinking. It would have been really helpful to know ahead of time that the tanks didn’t contain drinkable water, especially since the listing mentions it.
We also chose this spot because it seemed like a peaceful, off-grid escape with no phone reception - something we were really looking forward to. Unfortunately, both mornings we were woken around 6–7 a.m. by the neighbouring family riding their quad and motorbikes, which went on for most of the day. It just made it a bit hard to enjoy the quiet we were hoping for.

Very well located camping facility next to Goulburn. The designated area has some open grass for campfires and general activities, trees to explore and collect firewood from, and a small pond. Our 2-night stay gave us the chance to switch off from the city and immerse in the sounds of frogs and birds at night, while daytime was spent spotting the odd wallaby (and a feral deer) amongst the woods. It was also very nice for the hosts to put our 2 tents close to each other, since we came as 2 families and this allowed us to do all activities together instead of being on opposite ends of the property. Omar and Mya are very hospitable hosts and have excellent knowledge of their property to make a stay here a real treat!

Overall, we had a nice time. The host was super friendly and helpful. The ad said there was a toilet available, but there wasn't one on the site. There were also dirt bikes making noise till 8pm, and started again the next morning at 730, essentially non-stop the whole time we were there.

The property owners are awesome the site was nice. The only down side and this is not the owners fault. Next door were many motorbike riders from 530am in the morning all day until about 6pm. It was not a quite weekend unfortunately. If we could of been on the other side of the property away from all the noise it would of been awesome.

Beautiful camping spot! There was so much gorgeous bushland surrounding the camp site, it was incredibly beautiful and peaceful. Host was very gracious and helpful and the set up was gorgeous!

We had a lovely stay – such a peaceful and beautiful location! The tent was cosy and very comfortable for two adults. It was a bit of a squeeze with kids, but we made it work and they absolutely loved collecting wood and exploring the area.
The space was clean, and the beds were great – warm and inviting after a day outside. There’s a grill over the firepit and plenty of wood around to collect, which made for great family fun.
Do note that there’s no cooking equipment or seating, so we recommend bringing your own table, chairs, and kitchen/eating gear. Also, if you’re staying in cooler weather, bring a few extra blankets.
A lovely glamping experience overall. Thanks for having us!

This is a beautiful site that feels very remote and peaceful, the owners have a bell tent set up in a small cozy area of the bush land with mattresses inside. Additionally they provided us with a diesel petrol mix to help start up a fire and made sure we were comfortable before leaving us to enjoy the serenity of the nature. The area is abundant with wildlife, we actually woke up to a herd of goats walking thru our campsite which was an amazing morning surprise. I feel I need to also mention, this place is called stary ponds for a reason, the stars are nothing short of amazing. As someone who loves stargazing and photographing the night sky I absolutely loved the experience here.

Thank you Mya and Omar for the lovely stay! We thankfully had a clear night on the first night and saw some amazing stars. Getting surrounded by the goats was also really fun, I love goats! The sculpture near one of the camp sites that I could add too made it feel extra special.

The hosts were super accommodating, and helped my partner and I find the perfect space to camp. The name is for good reason as you have a spectacular view of the stars. The host gave us a bowl of home grown vegetables and brought us a nice hot meal on the second night! Couldn’t recommend this place enough.

Our experience at Stary Ponds Camping Sites was nothing short of amazing. The location itself is peaceful, well-maintained, and perfect for a relaxing getaway — but what truly made our stay exceptional was the owner. Truly the best of the best — incredibly kind, generous, and genuinely cares about the guests' experience.
We were even offered a caravan for free, which was such a thoughtful gesture and made our trip extra comfortable. On our final day, the owner invited us to enjoy a glass of fresh organic carrot juice, and let me tell you — it was the best carrot juice we've ever had! It was the perfect way to end a wonderful stay.
Highly recommend Stary Ponds for anyone looking for a cozy, welcoming, and memorable camping experience. We'll definitely be back!

Mya's land was incredible. We booked very last minute and the host was incredibly accommodating. He set up the swings for our daughter and the fire for when we arrived!
There was plenty of room for activities amongst the peace and quiet of the property. The tent was perfect for our family of three.
Cannot recommend this experience highly enough!

My family loved camping in the For-Rest glamping site. We got to have a nice big fire, star gaze and teach the kids about all of the constellations. We even got to see some shooting stars or satellites.
The hosts were very helpful and even provided us with some treats from their farm.

My partner and I stayed here for a night and the owners were more than welcoming. They have plenty of land to choose from, many wombats and wildlife to enjoy. We were allowed to practice flying our drone and were even greeted in the morning with fresh eggs and tomatoes from their lovely kids. We loved every part of our stay, including the amazing night skies.

Pretty basic bush camp, with owners house on the property. Plentiful of dry firewood to get your campfire going. Kangaroos come say hi in the morning.

Overall ✨ Stary Ponds lived up to it's name with lovely Stary night views. A pond to swim in on a hot day & access was generally ok. Just watch the wire on the concrete piping section, on the driveway in. Especially if you have a small car!
There are a few campgrounds to choose from in the bush area. Kangaroos & other animals range freely about.
I would also mention the area around the pond, seems a little neglected, not sure why. Eg. I almost stepped on a nappy as I was stepping out of my car when I arrived on site.
The host was not there so I was not able to speak to them but instructions were there for my arrival. Enough for me to work it out.
Some items of kids clothing, old rusty pieces etc strewn about. Wasn't what I expected as a little on the unsightly edge there... So! It depends on your idea of "roughing it".
They have a rough weather tipi to sit inside on a windy day & sit by a fire. Lots of woody areas & a few little tracks to explore I guess. Just mind your step as a lot of discarded concrete slabs about.
I didn't check out the whole place but seems interesting enough for a weekend camp.
I enjoyed the quiet & rest so it was good that way & thanks for the opportunity.
