Only 2 hours from Canberra this 4WD ONLY access property sits in the foothills of the Snowy Mountains and on the banks of the Snowy River. The property is around 45 minutes from both Cooma and Jindabyne, make sure you bring everything you need with you and have plenty of fuel in your 4WD as there are no shops nearby! The river is crystal clear, as is the night sky. Its quiet, so so quiet. The views, the bush and the river are all a photographers dream. See native wildlife in abundance. Hire one of our canoes to explore the river, pan for gold, throw in a line for trout and in the warmer months take a dip in the famous Snowy River. Campers are able to access a 700m long riverfront paddock for unpowered camping. A guest sauna, laundry, toilet, shower and dump point ($5 charge & must be septic friendly) is available 100m from one end of the camping area. There is only the one shower and toilet available for campers, so during peak periods there may be a wait. Dog friendly.

    This property and the family who fun it are fantastic, amenities were great and warm and the family gave us a warm welcome by popping out to meet us, talking to us about the local area and then coming down to the campsite when it rained to offer help. Cannot wait to stay again!

    What a top spot can thoroughly recommend this for an overnighter or a couple of days. The host Brendan is friendly and made sure we were set up ok. This place is picturesque it was so quiet and peaceful. Thank you, Brenda, for letting us stay in your back yard, we will definitely be back

    Snowy River was an exceptional experience! Our hosts were so helpful and friendly and went out of their way to help. River frontage sites with a beautiful sandy river perfect for kids. We will be back (if we can get a booking!). Off grid heaven....

    We have just come home from a 3 night stay. The property was great and seemed to be a popular place, although with big camping areas we didn’t feel like we were right on top of the people next to us. The river as lovely to cool off in and our dog loved it too! Would love to go back in winter!

    Raw and beautiful scenery, with a beautiful river to view. It’s peaceful and you truly feel that you are at one with nature. Brendan is a great host and his neighbours up the the road have a bespoke vineyard, Kraft beer facility where you can try their wines and beers, and enjoy a meal.
