Silky Oaks is one of Australia’s largest private collections of Native Australian plants. Set on 30 acres; there is 3 lakes, manicured gardens, a cut-flower plantation, rainforest, and orchard to wander. Our Glamping Van's are Set direct on lakefront and our BYO camp spots are in the flower plantation. Oakdale is a lovely rural area; you will pass cow paddocks, mountains and beautiful country vistas on your drive to the property. The area is a mix of houses, hobby farmers, homes on acreage, equestrian centres, produce growers and National Park. There is a glorious look-out in the National Park overlooking the Warragamba dam. Some days it is swept with clouds; enveloping you into the majestic heavens. It’s an easy ten min drive away. There is local towns 15mins drive for eating out and getting coffee.

Set on 30 acres of botanic gardens and flower farm, our Glamping experience is one of a kind! Reconnect with nature as you wake directly on the lake- front surrounded by birds and wild life. Dive back in time with these fun nostalgic campers with alfresco outdoor living. If you wish to book both of our Retro Glamper vans', please get in touch. The camp ground is a secluded part of the property on an untouched lake with wildlife and horses surrounding. Pink Retro Glamping! Sleeps 2
A very beautiful place with stunning nature. We really enjoyed the peaceful environment, it’s a great spot to disconnect, clear your mind, and properly relax. Everything we needed was provided and well organised. One of the port-a-loos was unfortunately out of order during our stay, so we had to walk a bit further to use the other toilet, which was a little inconvenient at night. However, this was a minor issue compared to the overall experience. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway.

I loved the pink retro caravan and the facilities that were provided. Host- David was very helpful and informed us all the required details. The vibe and the surrounding was very amazing. Highly recommend for girls night out in such a cozy vibe.

Lovely friend weekend away

We had an amazing time at this camp. We loveddd walking around and picking flowers. The site itself didn't have a lot of flowers but the property was beautiful. Loved also seeing the horses and it was very private too. We had a great time ☺️

This is a magical place, where a lot of effort has been put into detail - not only are the caravans themselves vintage, so are the interiors and accessories (including a sunburst clock). We had a lovely relaxing time with many photo opportunities!

Site 1 - Flower Plantation.
Lovely location, so quiet and relaxing. The gardens are beautiful, and we didn't even get to see them in full bloom! David has great communication, and in what was very obviously not a normal situation, made sure we had clear info to get to our site etc. The toilet location was great, and serviced. We loved our stay, and thoroughly enjoyed Silky Oaks.

Site 2 Plantation - Horse view
Great camping close to Sydney. There are only a small number of sites, thoughtfully dispersed so it feels very private. Enjoyed the view onto the horse paddocks and looking around the native plants.

Great spot so close to the city.
Lake front Retro Glamping.
Highly recommend silky oaks. I was in the retro Glamping and there was everything you needed. Bed, bbq, outdoor chairs, fridge, kettle, fan and heater if needed. Outdoor shower with hot water and toilet. Great location close to Sydney but still peaceful and private. Lots to do wander around the farm, feed the horses (bring carrots) or explore the area. Highly recommend. The camping site were great too by the look of it.

Lovely gardens & easy camping

Site 1 - Flower Plantation.
We booked site 1, but stayed at site 6 - amongst the liquid ambers. David met us on arrival, took us to a couple of different sites on the property, and let us choose. Site 6 was nice - quite private, yet only about 50m walk to the flushing toilets (very clean). The gardens are really nice, and a lovely place for a walk around in the afternoon. Some stunning native flowers in amongst the gardens too. Peaceful overnight, and birdsong in the morning. This is an easy/relaxed camping spot only an hour out of Sydney - great for families and first timers.

David was extremely helpful with anything we needed, we went in the middle of winter so he made sure we were prepared for how cold it would be. The place was so tranquil and lovely and we were given easy directions on how to get to our site!

Superb camping area

Site 1 - Flower Plantation.
Great location, just over an hour away from Sydney. We enjoyed the spot a lot, we ended up setting up in Site 6. The area was well maintained and lots of space for us to set-up 2 tents (10 person and 4 person) and a camping tarp. The bathroom was a short 3 minute walk away, and very clean. David mentioned to bring warm clothes and rug up which was appreciated, as the temps dropped and was a super cold night (2 degrees). It was a quite place, not many other campers about which we thoroughly enjoyed since it was a long weekend. Would love to come back and bring our other friends!

We had a great time staying at Silky Oaks flower farm. David is a very attentive host. We were met with a warm, informative welcome. Our camp site was very cute and private, with the added bonus of the toilets being nearby. Would highly recommend this property.

Camped at Silky Oak Farm over the weekend and loved it! 🌿⛺️ The Aussie native garden is gorgeous — could have wandered through it all day. The host was super friendly and easy to chat with too. Such a nice little spot if you are after a chill nature getaway. Will definitely be back! 🌼

Lake front Retro Glamping.
They provide so much more than listed! 2 of us stayed in the van and 2 of us camped in our rooftop tent just nearby. Cute campervan, my sister reported that the bed was comfy. There's a large shade cloth area with tables and chairs, a bbq, a firepit and an outdoor sink. Cold shower setup outside too. Thanks David!

Great communication from the host, easy location not far from Sydney. The grounds were well maintained and suitable for our needs. Maybe a bit expensive as we ended sharing a site with friends. But lovely to see the horses and the birds/wildlife and the native flowers.

Lake front Retro Glamping.
My little family and I really enjoyed our stay. The caravan was cosy and pretty much everything we could ask for for supplies (e.g. toilet, power, shower, fans, sink, crockery, fridge, bedding) was there. My son enjoyed stomping in mud, seeing the horses, running around and campfires. Focus for us was a few days of relaxing, so this ticked the boxes well! David was an easy going and helpful host. Thank you!

Spacious, beautiful and quiet

We had such a good night! David met us on arrival to talk us through the land. Exploring the property was a great stroll. You can tell he and his family put some love into it. The horses next door were so friendly and very happy for a pat. The bathroom was clean and a good distance from the site. The site was generous in size. It was a positive change to be away for a long weekend and not be fighting for space. A peaceful and lovely spot. Thanks so much David!

We would absolutely recommend this site! Camping under the shady liquid amber tress was very peaceful and relaxing. It was an easy walk to a clean and fully equipped toilet and sink, with access to the lake for a dip with fun inflatables. My son loved feeding the horses, and I enjoyed looking at the flowers and visiting the orchard. All in all a lovely experience!

Camping suitable for a young family

Lovely spot for a tranquil camping experience. David the host was very responsive and kindly swapped our location to a shady spot during the hot weather. Great stay for a young family with plenty of things to do close by. Would recommend anyone looking for a comfortable adventure among the flowers.

Very clear, easy to follow guide to find our spot. We were given a lovely site to set up by the dam. It was relaxing to kick back & listen to the bird life in the area, also far enough out of Sydney to good star viewing. A really nice property & helpful hosts.
