Welcome to Siam Sanctuary, an 18-acre oasis by the peaceful Dignams Creek, perfect for reconnecting with nature. This lush, green property features nine private campsites, including "Delilah," our charming retro caravan. The land is wrapped in forest, creating an expansive yet intimate atmosphere alongside the clear, pristine waters of the creek—ideal for a refreshing (clothing-optional) swim. Our 6m Mongolian yurt offers a serene space for meditation, adding to the tranquility. Amenities include a covered camp kitchen, a composting toilet, a wash sink, and filtered drinking water and a cold shower bathroom. Kids and families will love our 40m soccer field, giant swing, and swing set for smaller children. Well-behaved pets are welcome; just keep them leashed or under control. Camp fires are allowed in your own brazier off the ground with your own firewood. There is plenty of kindling around. (when there is no "Total Fire Ban"). Located just 1.2km off the Princes Highway, we're a short drive from Central Tilba and Cobargo, two charming villages with excellent food and shopping. The beaches of Mystery Bay and Camel Rock are a quick 15-minute drive, with Bermagui and its "Boneless Vegetarian Cafe" about 25 minutes away. Creek Side 2 is near the entrance of our property and is on a beautiful grassy stretch of creek side (although not for swimming as is on neighbors land) Our creek swimming access is 200m further down the land - easy to walk to. You look out at lovely old growth casuarina trees opposite your site. Refer to the "Siam Sancturary Map" for distances to various things on the land. Amenities include a covered camp kitchen, a composting toilet, a wash sink, and filtered drinking water. "Delilah" Retro Caravan

"Delilah" is a beautifully restored 1963 Sunliner caravan. She is situated on a spacious and private grassy site that looks out to old growth casaurinas and gums that grow along Dignams Creek. A tap providing drinking water is at the site. It has a cosy double bed 206cm x 112cm - please bring all your own bedding. There is additional flat land for a tent. There is a dining area inside with a solar powered bar fridge and lighting. There is a gas cooktop that can be used outside or inside. See Siam Sanctuary map in the photos to see where all features and amenities are on the land. (The composting toilet is 70m away). It is our only site with an open fire available in a small brazier . There is no air conditioning.

Lovely spot, we would love to come back and stay longer another time. Sol was very friendly and welcoming. One note for future travellers; screenshot the directions as you will likely lose reception.

The site was perfect, we had our caravan facing the creek to take in the surrounding views, it was private and secluded.. the property offered open spaces to walk our dogs, the river also a haven for swims and observing the bird life. The compost toilet was private, clean and a welcome nessesity at a Hipcamp site if your not completely off grip as a camper! The proximity to surrounding towns is surprisingly close by for small day trips. Yet the location of this stay is completely emerged In nature, quiet and calm. The locally communizes are very welcoming. The communal kitchen was excellent, great facilities and a good opportunity to meet other campers!! Shanti and Sol are such warm hosts, very generous and welcoming. This was our first hip camp experience and it was an excellent start.. we will be back !!

Great setup in the caravan with lots of little bits and pieces for cooking etc, having a tap with drinking water and a gas cooker was really helpful. Nice quiet spot with lots of space for a tent as well. Creek was great to cool off in, kids loved it and want to come back, really lovely and thoughtful hosts.

Such an incredible spot! The location was stunning, and the swing was the highlight—so much fun! We absolutely loved our stay. The site offered plenty of privacy and was exceptionally clean. We’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and unique getaway

"Delilah" Retro Caravan
Was a lovely spot where we had a beautiful relaxing stay. Our dogs had a fantastic time going for a walk along the creek and we enjoyed listening to all the birds at sunset. We were a little disappointed to find the fridge didn't work and the water on tap wasn't suitable for drinking (quite brown), but the caravan was nice and the little solar lights were cute once it got dark.

Siam Sanctuary was a beautifully peaceful place and Sol and Shanti were gracious and welcoming hosts. This is a great location to relax and reconnect with nature. There’s a beautiful swimming hole, a bush trail and lots of bird life. There’s also a meditation/yoga yurt available for campers. It’s close to the pretty town of Cobargo and not far from Bermagui. Being unwell, I particularly valued discussions with Shanti. We hope to revisit to reenergise! Highly recommended.

My family had a great time camping at Shanti & Sol's property. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful place with Hipcampers. The grass was so soft, we had bare feet the whole time. We spent every day exploring the magical, crystal clear creek too.

Stayed with Shanti and Sol for one night while passing through and it definitely wasn't enough time, we had such a soulful stay with nourishing river swims, times seems to stop and the land here literally sings to you! Will be back for sure, Thank you beloveds!

Such a beautiful, peaceful site in the lush foothills of the gorgeous Gulaga Mountain (and also very close to all the speccy coastline around Bermagui). Quiet spaced out sites, surrounded by huge trees, very clean composting loo with a view haha, crystal clear waterholes in the creek, and the giant swing is SO MUCH FUN!!! Thanks for having me :)

What a beautiful piece of the world to escape to! We had a lovely 2 night stay with our family of 4. It was so nice to slow down, put everyday life to the side and completely immerse ourselves in nature for 48 hours - it felt like a lot longer! The kids loved the giant swim and the magic creek was exactly what we needed to cool off. Site 2 felt very private and well protected, despite there being someone staying at site 1. There was occasional road noise, but nothing that was off putting or a disturbance. The composting toilet was very clean and fresh. We only used the camp kitchen to top up our water, but if we had stayed longer or come with friends, it would have been a lovely place to share a meal with others. We look forward to visiting again and immersing ourselves in the other offerings from Sol and Shanti. Thank you for a lovely stay!

A hidden piece of paradise.
"Delilah" Retro Caravan
Absolutely beautiful, surrounded by lush forest and a flowing crystal clear creek. There is a lovely walk that runs alongside the creek, which ends with a fabulous tree swing. It’s very peaceful and quiet, with plenty of bird life and a few wombats bobbing around during the early hours of the morning. Shanti and Sol sent a lovely welcoming text and then left me to enjoy the serenity. One of the best places I have stayed throughout my travels around Australia. I look forward to returning.

We had an amazing time at Ashanti’s & Sol’s camping. Perfect place to unwind. We had the beautiful caravan, enjoyed the nature, the perfect location and the the atmosphere. Loved it and will come back. Thank you!

Lovely camp sites. Peaceful location. Enjoyed the family of tawnies in nearby tree. Camp kitchen area was excellent - a central spot to meet other campers and cook or was up if needed. Creek waa refreshing - loved it. Location overall was perfect.

Amazing Hipcamp. Truly relaxing, calming and peaceful. Lovely hosts that are informative and passionate about their space. This place has everything from a giant swing, fantastic kitchen, loo with a view and nature aplenty. Highly recommended.

Shanti and Sol have a beautiful property and are so welcoming. The meditation yurt is stunning and the camp kitchen is amazing. Be sure to do the giant swing! A walk along the creekside track is full of birds. The property has awesome energy, well worth a visit!

What can I say that the other reviews don't already cover? Well, as well as being very well set up for Hipcampers, great kitchen, toilet, very clean and well equipped, etc., it's very private, each camp with a generous space and individual outlook. Shanti and Con are delightful, helpful and very accommodating. Enjoy!

Loved it! Amazing spot, amenities are great with full kitchen set up, drinking water, long drop. Creek side 2 had a good bit of shade. Felt like a spiritual place and reminded us of Glastonbury!
