120 mountain acres set in the magical Wombeyan Caves area, 20 minutes away from the very popular Wombeyan Caves and campground. Magnificent 270 degree views with many high vantage points. Incredibly private and secluded and perfect for a quiet getaway from the hustle and bustle. Plenty of wildlife (Kangaroos, Wallabies, Lace Monitors, Koalas, variety of birds such as the resident Wedge Tail Eagles. There is an outdoor hot shower over a big cast iron bathtub and a very basic flushing bush toilet. There is not much flat land so this stay is more to relax, unwind around a fire and soak in the peace. Taralga is 30 minutes away. NOTE: There is 15km of quite remote dirt road that is quite rough in some spots. Low cars not recommended. 2WD vehicles ok unless heavy rain. Campfires permitted in a designated areas when restrictions aren't in place. Dogs welcome. No loud music as it carries through the valley and we get reported. :( Final Notes: It can get ferociously windy! Please check wind forecast before booking in to avoid disappointment. Anything above 14kms can be unpleasant. The property is still a work in progress, so some areas have not been completed and on-site caravans unavailable for use however their undercover areas are welcomed to be used.

Top flat (approximately 400sqm) has beautiful views and is close to the hot shower, toilet and sink for washing up. Suitable for tents as is flat. It is on the very highest point of the property, so it is exposed to wind. Please check wind forecast to avoid disappointment. Fire pit and tank water available.

Lovely grassed area (approximately 400sqm) on a slight slope with access to a very large under cover area with a combustion fireplace and table and chairs (no access to use on-site caravan). Fire pit, tank water, and power available.

I absolutely loved my stay at Amanda's place. It's a beautifully secluded campsite with incredible views and so much peace and privacy. I arrived after dark, so unfortunately I didn't get the chance to meet Amanda and her family. Thankfully, with the help of a lovely neighbour, I was able to check in without any trouble. During my stay, I was surrounded by amazing wildlife, including kangaroos, wombats and goannas, which made the experience even more special. One thing that really surprised me was having a hot shower and a flushable toilet in such a remote campsite. The view from the shower was absolutely stunning too! The quietness and privacy were the biggest highlights for me. Although the campsite is located along a community road with two houses down in the valley, I didn't see a single vehicle pass by during my two-night stay. It truly felt like a little private heaven. For anyone wondering about campsite selection, if you're like me and love having perfectly flat ground for pitching a tent, I'd recommend setting up inside the shed at Valley View, or choosing Top Flat, which is also closer to the shower and toilet. Amanda was incredibly kind and welcoming. Even though we didn't get to meet in person, she provided plenty of helpful guidance over the phone and through text messages. I really hope I'll have the opportunity to come back again someday.
