Overall we had a nice stay on Jeff’s property.
Pros,
Close to Wallabi Point and Old Bar. Short drive to both. Less then 1km walk to Wallabi Point and a 3km walk to Saltwater Point.
Nice trails to walk through The Khappinghat and Saltwater National Park.
Firewood provided by Jeff.
Quiet at night.
One of the only places to camp near or at Old Bar.
Cons,
A bit pricy for what the campsite is/ has.
Rough terrain not great for tents as it was mostly gravel and rock.
The dirt road through the site seemed to be a public access point for trails throughout the National Park. On occasions, a few dirt bikes zoomed through.

Salty Woods Camping
Our stay at Salty Woods for the Easter long weekend was fantastic. A beautiful secluded spot in the bush only minutes to the beach and town. We loved cooking and sitting around the fire at night. Plenty of good tracks for walks and mountain bikes, great surf and beaches. Jeff was great to deal with, we will certainly be back.

Rustic camping in a forest near a pretty epic point break! Loved the privacy of the sites, couple of mountain bikes came past in the arvo but very friendly. Nice to see the forest recovering well after the fires.

Salty Woods Camping
We absolutely loved our stay at Salty Woods! The camp site was roomy enough to fit our pop top caravan, and was situated far enough away from other campers so we felt secluded amongst the trees. The night sky was amazing! Wallabi Point, Salt Water NP, Old Bar and Manning Entrance State Park are a stones throw away. We had a minor hiccup on arrival when we entered via the wrong gate, Jeff was quick to respond and checked in with us again later to ensure we had settled in. He also recommended some dog friendly cafes, including Flow Bar, which we loved. Note, you need to be totally self sufficient to stay here. But there’s a petrol station just down the road for emergency essentials.

Salty Woods Camping
Jess is a great host. I didn't get to meet him in person, but he went to checkup on the site before my arrival, he offered me to setup at a better site than the one I booked and he even followed up to make sure everything was going well. All of the camp sites are located practically in a forest, and Eucalypt was directly next to the dam. You can watch the sun rise over the dam, beautiful! Everything looked clean and well maintained. There is a dirt track running alongside the campsites that locals like to use for cycling and hiking. There was a little bit of trafic in the morning but everyone was super friendly and polite.

Beautiful spot in the bush! Was wonderful to be surrounded by gorgeous gums and eucalyptus trees and the star filled sky was icing on the cake! Thanks Jeff 😊

Firewood very much appreciated, and very private. A little site maintenance would be good. Probably a little rich charging top dollar for a patch of lumpy ground. On balance, I may be back. But not special.

Salty Woods Camping
Jeff was great with directions and stopped for chat to make sure we were happy with the stay. We stayed at the Eucalypt site right near the dam. Lovely looking at the dam and trees with a couple of chairs set up for you to relax with the view. Little fire drum was perfect at night. We had a 22ft van and it was a little tight getting into the site and reversing in but we were able too. Site was a little uneven but we were able to make it work. Good off grid option. near old bar and Wallaby.
