Beautiful spot on a sweeping bend of the Murray River not far from the spectacular Hume Dam. This campsite is situated on a working beef cattle, lamb and merino wool property is only 14km from the major border cities of Albury-Wodonga. It is home to a diverse range of wildlife with over 100 species recorded on the property including wetland birds, platypus and the endangered squirrel glider. The farm has been run by the same family since 1919 and, as the 4th, 5th and 6th generations on the farm, we are honoured to be able to share this wondrous space with you! You will enjoy seclusion whilst only being a stones throw from Lake Hume and the major centres of Albury and Wodonga. You'll have the ability to swim and fish in the cool Murray River water or just relax under the century old shady river red gums whilst reading a book or enjoying a drink. There are countless attractions in the local area including the Rutherglen Wine area, historic Beechworth, alpine resorts and the high country of North-East Victoria, just to name a few. These are all within a day trip.The campsite is a flat grassy space on the banks of the Murray River. Good access for caravans. 4WD access recommended. Guests must take all waste with them - we have a strict leave no trace policy (including no holes in the ground). Campfires are permitted in designated areas when fire restrictions aren't in place. Please note small pets are allowed but as we are a working farm we ask they are kept under your control at all times and remain with you in the paddock of the camp site.

I'm reluctant to say how fantastic this spot is as I want to be able to book again without it being booked out 😁 Such a gem of a location. Highly recommend.

STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL PRIVATE PARADISE! Perfect isolated, peaceful absolute riverside location to wind down and take in the best of what nature offers. Bonus was they only take one visitor at a time so we had the whole place to ourselves! Access to free firewood on the property too which was wonderful. 100 percent recommend! Elle was wonderful and responsive too!

What a spot! Absolutely stunning and the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle and wind down in total isolation. Elle was welcoming and very accommodating. Love that people share their amazing properties and locations with travellers. Highly recommended!

Well worth a visit

An absolutely amazing spot full of wonderful bird life and serenity. Plenty of room to spread out or go for a stroll along the river. I stayed for 3 nights and I could have stayed for 3 more and enjoyed myself just as much. Everyone that I interacted with at the camp (host’s and employee) were so helpful and kind both on arrival and departure.

Perfect Murray Getaway – Rain, Fire, and Fishing! We had an awesome weekend at this Hipcamp spot by the Murray. The rain didn’t bother us one bit… it actually added to the atmosphere! We fished, relaxed by the river, and had a roaring fire each night. There’s plenty of wood around if you’re up for chopping it yourself. A great, peaceful spot to unwind. We’ll definitely be back!

What a beautiful place to stay! So close to everything you need and far enough away to relax and enjoy your surroundings. Many flat areas to choose from, easy access to the river, large camp fire, plenty of shade and plenty of room for the kids or dogs to have a run around

Great place to chill out. We did some day trips around Lake Hume. Lots of birds to observe and plenty of fishing spots. Can collect wood for evening fire. Dog loved running around the ample area assigned to campers

Lovely spot, thanks Elle for hosting us. Very relaxing place to spend the night, we enjoyed a fire at night and a refreshing swim in the morning. Would definitely recommend this spot.

We loved camping at rolling hills. Perfect spot right on the river for fishing and swimming and enough room around for numerous people camping to have their own space. Added bonus being able to take out little dogs with us. Elle made our first Hip camp experience very easy and would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a river escape close to town.
