We booked and paid for 3 nights but ended up leaving after just one night due to several serious issues.
There was dog poo EVERYWHERE around the campsite, which immediately raised hygiene concerns. The “toilet” was a major hygienic hazard - clearly not cleaned regularly. The same water tap used for general purposes (which is btw not a sink as advertised, it’s a tap) was also used to clean the bush toilet (when I asked for it to be cleaned), which felt extremely unhygienic. Rubbish was left standing around in piles rather than being managed properly.
A power line runs directly above the camping area, meaning you’re literally sleeping underneath it. The complimentary equipment advertised (such as kayaks) was not maintained or properly looked after.
Despite charging $66+ per night, there are online requests for donations to fund a hot shower, which left us wondering what the actual camping fee is paying for. Shower is disgusting, can’t use.Overall, there was no value for money.
The location itself was also disappointing. It’s not really “in nature” - the main road is very close and you hear traffic constantly. There’s no real space to walk around, campsites are small and very close to neighbouring campers, and the whole setup feels like camping in someone’s backyard, squeezed between two rivers.
This was a big disappointment for us, especially given the price. We genuinely don’t understand what you’re paying for here. Do yourself a favour and choose a national park instead.
