Rav4 . The main reason for choosing RVBR was the clear sky for stargazing clear skies away from the city pollution. We used the Nerriga Pub a 10 minute drive away as a base for all cooking & toilet breaks used our time just relaxing & a red wine or too.

Great private camping area . My wife and I were looking for a secluded base camp to explore the area around Braidwood . WE visited The Loaded Dog Hotel Tarago made famous by Henry Lawson great lunch. Must see in the area Nerriga Village also a great hotel
for food we also used the public toilets in town very clean and well maintained 5 minute drive from the camp site , last drive to Nowra for the return to home not enough time will book again and stay week or so

What a great site. The directions were clear, even at night and in fog. Woke up to the sound of the river in the valley. Would definitely recommend.
There is a large clearing for bigger groups, plenty of firewoo and a great view of the river. It felt secure and private, even though it was only 5 minutes off the main road.
There was no-one arriving after us and the host said we could take our time packing up and leaving. That always helps!!!!
I have already suggested the spot to family and friends, the change of padlock code for each camper suggests to me that the access issue described by another camper in a previous review has been resolved.

While the campsite itself is lovely, I wouldn’t recommend to anyone else.
It seems there are some miscommunication issues between the multiple owners of this land as we had a car full turn up unannounced asking what we were doing there in an aggressive manner. We had young children with us and we stay at hipcamps to allow privacy and security when taking them away.
A very disappointing experience. I hope the owners/extended family members can communicate a bit better for any future guests sake.

As two families with a dog, we loved camping at Jon’s fantastic bush block. Super private, amazing views over the river, tons of firewood and peace. Jon’s also a great communicator, making us feel very welcome. We’ll be back!

Great spot to relax with beautiful views. We have already booked our next trip here.
We travelled with an Isuzu DMax 4x4 towing a 20ft van with extended A frame and a Nissan Navara D22 4x4 towing a camper trailer. Site was great, cleared and level. Jon was very helpful with local information and prompt to respond to questions. Nerriga pub is about 10 minutes away with great food & atmosphere. Oallen Ford is a lovely spot to swim and relax.

We had a lovely peaceful camp at Jon’s place. It was very private and we woke up to the beautiful sounds of a lyre bird each morning. The view of the river makes it an even more special spot and the host Jon was very accommodating and responsive. It was quite hot when we visited - mid-high 30s - and while unfortunately for us the creek was dry at the time it was a short easy drive for a swim at Oallen Ford instead. Looking forward to our next stay.

This is a really beautiful spot.
Really peaceful and feels like you’re a million miles from anywhere but Braidwood is an easy 40 minute drive away and Oallen Ford is just down the road.
Clear sky for star gazing .Great little spot to relax and unwind. We thoroughly enjoyed taking our dogs for walks and swims along the creek. Nerriga Pub is open in the morning for coffee also Lunch & Dinner 5 minutes from site.Went home via Nowra & Kangaroo Valley . Looking forward to another visit
