We wish to acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the Worimi, Gringai and Biripi people the custodians, spiritual and cultural owners of these lands on which the Gloucester River runs. River Front Campsites is a picturesque camping area on the eastern edge of the Barrington Tops National Park (Gloucester Tops) and nestled on the banks of the crystal clear Gloucester River. A great spot for families and groups of all ages who love wide open natural spaces. A place to relax and enjoy the amazing mountain scenery, fabulous sunsets and bird life local to the area, along with other wildlife that graze the land. If you want to indulge in the natural wonders of the area, there are numerous walking trails in the nearby Gloucester Tops National Park, swim in the crystal clear water of the Gloucester River. Do some Bird watching. We are an active beef cattle farm. We run approximately 80 head of cattle. You will see our herd of cattle across the paddocks, which includes pregnant cows, younger cows, calves, and Brutus our bull. We will endeavor to run our cattle outside of the paddocks containing the campsites. For this reason, we ONLY allow dogs to stay if they remain on a lead or are well controlled. There are 6 sites to choose from beside the flowing river to set up your campsite, with shady areas, spacious grassy areas for the kids to run around or just relax and enjoy the surroundings. All of our campsites are perfect for having a campfire (fire season dependent). NO rubbish can be burnt in any campfires at all. Each Site will have a fire pit. BYO wood. These are sites only and NO toilet or shower facilities are provided, or freshwater. YOU MUST HAVE YOUR OWN CAMPING TOILET OR ONE IN YOUR CARAVAN/CAMPER. (There are dump points located in Gloucester and Stroud townships, both approximately 40 min away). Access to River Front Campsites is partially by 12kms of gravel council managed road with 6 water crossings. Campsites are easily accessible by 4WD and 2WD vehicles. (Weather conditions permitting) Flood detour road available if needed. There is no rubbish collection on the campsites. You will be required to take all rubbish off the property when you leave. THERE IS NO MOBILE RECEPTION.Individual sites are for 4 People, 1 x vehicle & Caravan/Camper or Tent. Extra vehicles per site require owners permission. All sites are well spaced out along the river front, on a grassed area and are flat. Each site has a fire pit. Private Riverfront Delight!

This private piece of paradise was an absolute delight. A well managed paddock with 6 fire pits spaced out about 30m apart all facing the river. I attended during school holidays/public holiday and we didn’t even hit capacity! The sound of the flowing river and birds of warning was so calming for the soul. Will definitely be back!

We had the best long weekend at Riverfront. Perfect weather and a beautiful river along with the peace and quiet. Both humans and dogs had a very relaxing stay. Not to mention Denise taking us to hand feed Lucy the cow. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. We will definitely be back!

We had a very relaxing stay at this Hipcamp. The drive in was exciting getting to cross several creek crossings. The campsites are nice and level and quote close to the river. We were there after heavy rains and the river was cascading over rocks. We'd happily go back there again.

We had an amazing long weekend at Denise and Paul’s property, they were very accommodating and so professional to deal with. Such an awesome stretch of river to explore, the bird life was exceptional. Would definitely recommend a stay at this Hipcamp, but shhhh, don’t tell too many people, we want to come back very soon ;-)

It was an awesome Easter weekend away camping by the river with a fire pit, great location, the weather was great & enough room for our dog to run around & do her thing. Denise & Paul are great hosts helping us out with an issue we had, couldn't ask for more.

One of the most relaxing campsites we've stayed at all over Australia. The creek is picture perfect and the sound is absolute bliss. The Birdlife is pretty special. Your only about 3km to the Barrington Tops NP. And Gloucester is about a 30min drive away for supplies. Denise is very welcoming and shares great local information and her stunning property with travellers. We highly recommend River Front Campsites if you want somewhere for a weekend or a longer stay like we had you won't find many better spots in Oz!

Such a great riverfront country escape ....would love to keep it a secret but to be fair to the host Denise and her property they deserve a great shout out. Flat riverfront location with good areas for swimming. One of the most notable features is the spacious sites including firepits. The limited numbers sets this campsite apart from other more crowded sites. The area also has riverside trees providing good shade in the hotter weather. Denise is very responsive to enquiries and provides warm and friendly information and greeting. Definitely will be returning.

Nice camp site, Access is tight through gate with a van, but Denise was happy to allow us to turn around in there property across the road. reasonably flat, sites are a decent spacing, the river is good and the water quite cold.

Great relaxing and secluded camp spot to kick back with the family, we wish we could’ve had more time but had to get back to reality. Loved the river, it was so clear you can clearly see the river bed. It’s also great to sit in and cool off on hot days, really refreshing 😃

We had a fantastic time in our van beside the river. There are plenty of things to discover in the area. The hosts checked in intermittently and were lovely to talk with, they genuinely want people to enjoy the property.

Beautiful spot camping on the grass with the view of the river and swimming hole just a short walk away. Dogs loved all the space to play and swim. Super easy to book and organise with the owners.

Our stay at site #2 was very peaceful and relaxing. Great river to cool off in which was easily accessible from our site. Fantastic shade during the heat of the day on the lower level, followed by a night time fire on the upper level of our site in the cool of the evenings… perfect! Wonderful hosts. Highly recommend 👍
