If you want to avoid the crowds our property is only 10 minutes drive to great local surf and fishing beaches at Crescent Head. There is an abundance of bird life, the odd kangaroos and wallabies, and other wildlife. There is a melaleuca forest that children are welcome to play in and build a cubby house, and 2 pretty little dams to catch yabbies, and for dogs to enjoy a swim. The property where camping is provided is approx 20 acres with a limit of 10 groups so you can find your own little piece of paradise. There is plenty of fire wood for you to collect on the property on your way in. Please help yourself to any fallen timber for firewood but please do not cut any standing trees down. When checking out, ensure you properly extinguish fires and return any unused firewood to the bush. Dogs are welcome to be here off leash as long as they are well socialised and reasonably obedient. There is large areas for them to run freely and dams to swim in. It is accessible via a 2WD dirt road, even with a little wet weather. If rainfall is extreme we recommend 4wd's. The property is completely off grid so we have a 'leave it as you found it' approach. This means you will need a camp toilet, and to take all of your rubbish with you. We are a rural property so do not have rubbish collection services. (Fees apply for any left behind rubbish). A very isolated location. Wouldn’t recommend a 2wd as the ground is quite corrugated. Otherwise it gave us what we needed and the hosts were very nice and accommodating. We would stay again if we were in town.

Had a lovely one nighter here under the full moon! It was so peaceful and just the right distance to still be able to enjoy the beaches nearby too! Would definitely stay again if I’m back in the area.

Perfect little private space for us to have an overnight stop on our roadtrip. Would definitely recommend as it is close to town and the highways :)

Very quiet and peaceful - check with the owner before if it’s been raining - they can point you to the best spot. Great location, nice and close to crescent and kempsey - perfectly located.

The weather might have been horrific but overall the campsite was nice, wouldn’t recommend going in any wet weather as the grounds turn to slush and you’ll probably get bogged like I did. Jarene was very welcoming

Very peaceful spot close to the local beaches had an issue with some noisy campers but the owners sorted it out 🙂 would recommend to anyone who likes a bit of space instead of the crowds at the beach spots. Thanks for everything 🤙

Great location not that far into cresent head, heaps of firewood on the property, just as described nice flat open area with enough room to spread out. Would defiantly reccomend a stop here. Just for a night or 5 nights like we did, pleanty to see and do in the area.

Fantastic spot to setup base camp, plenty of flat peaceful space, only minutes from beach and town. Clean and tidy. Must be very self sufficient though . No amenities which was not a problem.

Awesome spot for a few nights to break up our trip from Bribie back to Sydney, only half hour from hat head for a swim with an amazing back drop. Easy to pull in with noone within 40-50m of our group with 4 vans. Will go back again

The beauty of this paddock is its close proximity to Crescent Head beach which seemed to be the go for the younger ones. Alternatively as an overnighter on your way not too far off the highway.

The area was so well groomed & all campers camped well away from other each, the privacy & flat land was perfect for our dogs & toddler. Jarene stopped by and said hello & was super friendly. And the location was so close to crescent head it was ideal for us! We loved it

This campsite is not as what it shows on the pictures. It’s very misleading we booked in for 2 nights, only for the fact we arrived so late on the first night we would not have stayed at all. There’s no ponds or beach it was just a ploughed up field. Very disappointed and especially for the cost.

Great location if you are looking to camp near crescent head as options for camping are limited. Would probably recommend to go in the cooler months when rain can wash the dam out a bit. The dam unfortunately made our dogs a bit sick - and the bugs and mosquitos were almost unbearable as site seems to previously be a livestock paddock, even with bug spray Otherwise pretty good, dogs loved the space to run

After a full day of driving, we arrived late at night, and that didn't help. As directions assumed we came-in from a different road, and multiple places had safety cones. Ground was quite wet & boggy, so we had to be careful not to get bogged with the camper on the back (4WD). It's a beautiful place, with lots of wildlife to see & hear. The price was OK, and everything was obvious & easy in the morning. Thanks for having us.

This is a great spot to base yourself if you want to enjoy the awesome beaches of Crescent Head. I loved being able to get away from all the people and enjoy some quality quiet time with just the sounds of nature. Only 10 minutes to town, this spot was perfect for us.

We loved camping here - easy to find and only 10 mins into crescent. Plenty of room to camp without feeling ‘on top’ of other campers. We would absolutely recommend this to friends and family and will definitely be back! Doggos loved staying here too!
