We booked for a week, and the pictures depict that you’re camped directly on the river. As we turned up there wasn’t a river that was accessible unless you were a mountain goat (ok for young people I suppose.) I went down to have a look, and the climb back up was dangerously steep with a big risk of injury.
Now the campgrounds themselves, they were beautiful, with green grass, flushing toilets and fire pits. Would suit someone that likes birds and mountain climbing haha. We drove out and didn’t even bother requesting a refund, I wouldn’t go back, however I can see how it would appeal to some people. Just not us.

Sites were huge with great access for caravans, toilets were clean with plenty of toilet paper, rubbish & recycling bins provided, access to the river was challenging but overall a great camp site & will definitely return to enjoy this camp site again

We loved the creek for swimming and to explore. Great to be so close to town but it felt like so far away at the same time. Even had fire flies at our camp site!

Chris was a kind and warm host, extremely helpful and never without a smile on his face.
His land was perfect for our 2 night stay with 3 kids who swam the whole time. The creek is safe enough to leave the kids to it ( if old enough) while you get the next meal sorted and relax with the amazing views.
Will definitely be back to stay- we all loved it!

Overall, this was a good camp. It was peaceful the hosts were friendly and helpful and there was plenty of space on the site. If it had been full however, it may have felt too close to other campers as there were no trees separating the sites. The lack of trees also meant that this would be a difficult site in summer with no shade until the afternoon. The creek was beautiful and we saw platypus which was amazing. It was however quite hard to access (the hosts have provided ropes to hold onto to make it easier) and not very visible from the camps.

Beautiful green grassy sites with beautiful views to the mountains and cows in the distance. Sites were limited which meant that each site was spread well apart leaving you with a feeling of privacy. The host was responsive and helpful and having toilet and rubbish facilities is highly regarded.
Creek access was a little difficult which meant we couldn't take as much advantage of the warm weather as we would have liked. A beautiful weekend getaway

Lovely 2 night stay, beautiful big grassy area, plenty of space between sites, very clean portaloo right there, sounds of birds and water over rocks in the river. Very serene. It was bug central though, and note it's a bit of a scramble down to the river (hairy for our younger kids) and it's not a great swimming area

Absolutely loved it. The creek was beautiful (only down side is we went in winter so it was a bit cold 😂 but that didn’t stop us!). Instruction were clear and the hosts were lovely!

I love the size of the individual sites dedicated to, you have so much space and decently away from other campers, such a gorgeous block of land and really relaxing. Chris was also so incredible with helping me out to make sure our friends are all put together and came over and check on us ! Definitely would recommend and would come back

Great weekend at Oxley View. Spots are spacious and we felt like we had the place all to ourselves even though it was booked out.
Lovely creek, fire pit, very clean port- a- loo and lovely owners that are responsive to messages and made sure our stay was perfect. Easy directions to find the place. Will be back sometime soon.

Great spot for relaxing and watching the bird life- Oxley River was lovely even in cold weather- we were lucky to have the place to ourselves. It would work well for a group camping too.

Loved staying here. Amazing winter spot, nice and sunny. Loved having all the doggos around and playing with others. We mustn’t have read the description properly as we’re surprised with how close we were to other campers. Everyone was really nice.

My parter and I had one night at Chris’s hipcamp and we had a great time, wish it was for longer! The sites were very spacious and clean, and plenty of lush grass for the doggos to run around, and a beautiful creek down the bottom. Fire pits were available and Chris also came around with firewood for sale and was very polite.
We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend!

We had a beautiful little night away on Chris’ property - thank you Chris! Beautiful trees around, and only 6 (I think) spots, so it’s a small intimate little space to camp. The toilets were bloody pristine, and there’s a little creek to go for a swim if you’re game! Thanks again!
