Location was so lovely! Super remote and even caught a glimpse of the southern lights. Very pretty to stargaze and the fire pit is a great addition.

Close to southern highland venues but far from it all. Very peaceful. Great fire places. Lots of privacy. Available last minute for a single night, during a long weekend! And a lot cheaper than the local caravan park.

It was nice meeting Bruce, as he takes you to your campsite. Very pleasant, we had a good conversation about pumpkins. I enjoyed the camp, so much area, and the various campsites were a good distance apart. I was at campsite 1 which is the furthest away. Even though I could see other campers, occasionally, it was not intrusive. Its great waking up to the sound of birds. There is distant traffic noise, from the motorway I believe, but again not intrusive as you lose yourself in the surrounding nature.

We had a great time. Bruce was a wonderful host. We especially loved Dottie the dog and the Waratahs. Sites are well placed and a long way from other campers. The campfire/bbq was brilliant with hot plate, pot hanger and table.
Looking forward to heading his way again

Had a great experience! The place is peaceful, well-maintained, and perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature. The camping areas were clean and organized, and the host was very friendly and helpful. I’d definitely come back and recommend it to anyone looking for a calm and enjoyable weekend!

Upon arrival notified Bruce we were at gate. He promptly came out and escorted us to our site where a beautiful camp fire was burning lit by his family. All we had to do from there was open the van and enjoy the beautiful fire and quiet location. Can not thank Bruce enough for allowing us access to his property which is a great location to explore the southern highlands of NSW

Great site, easy to find the gate, and only a short drive to a petrol and convenience store if needed. Is exactly as Bruce says it is and was great chatting to him and easy to get in contact with him if needed.

This was a top spot. We were in and out a fair bit as we were visiting family but it met all our needs which was a quiet secluded spot to park our van each night. We wish we had more time to enjoy the property. The location was great with easy access to Mittagong and Bowral and there is a great pizza place just down the road for an easy nights dinner. The road in was wet in parts but we managed to get our semi off road 18ft van up to the site fairly easily by 4WD. 2WD might be a challenge in the wet. Bruce was super helpful and accommodating. Definitely recommend. Beats caravan parks anyday.

Brilliant spot, Huge property with lots to explore.
We were fortunate enough to have the entire property to ourselves. Bruce has cleared several areas and placed firepits. There is a dam with a large section of bush to go and explore. The kids and adults had a ball.

The spot was great, with loads of space and fire pits. Spots are far from each other, so you could hardly hear your neighbours.
Land surrounded by trees, protected from high winds.
Great spot to watch for the stars at night.

Had a very peaceful night at Old Fourty. Next time, I’d like to stay 2 or 3 days to soak up the serenity!
Bruce went out of his way to make me feel welcome and show me to the site.
There’s a pretty good pizza joint in Colo Vale less than 10 minutes drive away.
