Another year, another glorious summer holiday at Tuross River Camping. This year we went for a hike down river and found some more beautiful swimming spots. We even saw a turtle! This place has it all — running water, flush toilets, hot showers (but honestly after a day swimming in the Tuross, who needs them?) and a brilliant sheltered camp kitchen. The roads were in good condition getting in and when the toilets needed resetting, Dwayne took our call (via Starlink thank you very much) and was super helpful. We love this place and we'll be back again next year. Also, a stop at Bodalla on the way home is always fun (pub lunch, the dairy and art gallery are great).

Amazing camping trip. Location fabulous with an under cover, toilet and shower, river nearby, beautiful stars, plenty of wood to collect. We’ll set up with table chairs and games. Thanks to Sharon and family for Sharing a piece of their paradise with the public.

Awesome spot, amazing setup and peace tranquility with all the mod cons and more. Thanks Sharon and co for sharing such a brilliant bushcamp. We thought the drive out might be a bit of adventure after rain on the first night with the camper trailer but it was no drama at all. Wildlife galore dips and swims in the river with the dogs followed by bbq and a game or two of pool. We didn’t use the fire pits but loved the smart use of caterpillar tracks. Great design and touches all round. 11/10

What a great place they have made, alot of thought & hard work has gone into this camping spot. Having showers & toilets was great. We realy loved the area. Great beach, crystal clear water. Very peaceful.
You can do as much as you like or as little as you like.
We only had 1 visit from Mr Goanna ( that we saw) but he just toddled along & was fine.
Mr Red Belly Black Snake just slithered along up in the bush by the side of the track, we just kept still & he slithered away so all good. Obviously when you are camping in the bush you have to expect & respect the bush animals.
The only thing is the Drive in, we drove in when it had rained the Mountain was covered in Mist & Fog so it was very Daunting on the dirt/sandy Mountain road, definantly 4 Wheel drive road especially towing a caravan.
It is a beautiful spot and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Second stay and can happily say this time around we faced no issues! Sharon has updated the information to include instructions for resetting the amenities block pump if it plays up (first stay this happened with no solution).
Can highly recommend this camp, amenities are unreal and the location just tops it off.
Makes for a nice trip from Canberra via Badja Forest Road > Falcon road.

Amenities were much better than expected whole place has been set up extremely well to do as little or as much as you choose,clean tidy, would definitely go back. Relaxing and tranquil with the sound of the river running through.

Tuross River Camping Nerrigundah
Tuross River Camping Nerrigundah is exceptional! We had such a magical time here: incredible setting with lots to explore at the river with lots of fun fresh water swimming, and lush starry nights. The covered area was fantastic for staying cool when needed, the teenagers loved the pool table and playing darts, we were entertained by regular visits from curious goannas, showers and flushing toilets are simply a bonus. We're definitely coming back! Thanks Sharon :)

Had a great holiday with the family and dogs at Nerrigundah Tuross River Camping. Beautiful camping spot close to the river with excellent facilities. We towed a 16ft off road caravan into the camp ground. The road into the property is quite steep and recommend a vehicle with good clearance that can manage a 4x4 track. Would recommend to any couple or family that love an adventure and a beautiful Australian bush camping spot.

Highly recomened for those who love get away and switch offf and Having the entire place to yourself
Great river access for kayaks fishing mountain bikes bush walking bird watching and in warmer months swimming
Great for our extended Family group and one dog
4x4 camp trailers a swag and a tent .
Very well maintained big cleared flat grassy areas
The facilities are excellent loved the added bonus of camp kitchen area and we also rented the cabin.

We had no trouble with the toilet or the hot water showers just need patience and maybe take notes before you head in as it’s Patchy even Telstra reception
We had added bonus as we had acess to internet thru starlink provider.
1 hour drive mainly on dirt road to Bodalla
4x4 easy pulling camper trailers
Would only recommend all wheel drive if you have high clearance and good tyres .

We enjoyed our stay of 4 nights, very quiet and private, gorgeous surrounds. Camp kitchen and fire pits were good kids enjoyed the games, pool table and trampoline. The Amenities block is about a 5 minute walk up a small hill from the main camp ground but the facilities were great nice hot showers. There is a porta loo by the main camp area. Some cool 4x4/BMX tracks on the property. It is quite remote and roads in could be a bit sketchy if you arnt experienced towing a van or have a 4x4. Would stay again!

such a picturesque and remote getaway! being by the lake was absolutely stunning and the facilities were very well kept, not to mention the beautiful stargazing at night. instructions were clear to follow but would recommend a 4WD to enter as the roads are pretty rough. 10/10 would stay again!

Was so nice to have this place all to ourselves we were a bit confused with working out that the hot water shower was the first toilet block you pass a of a walk from the campsite not the one at the camp kitchen. We also hired kayaks and bags of wood but we couldn’t work out what wood was ours or how to get access to the kayak so we sadly missed out. Perfect spot just maybe more detailing on the instructions , easy fix !!

Amazing spot! Feels remote without being far from the coast and has beautiful views and plenty of access to the crystal clear river. We were lucky enough to have the property to ourselves, but there’s no shortage of space to spread out. Would be an amazing choice for families or groups with great amenities.

Overall this camp is a great spot - huge grassy areas, next to the river with great facilities including camp kitchen. Unfortunately, during our stay the amenities block water was not functioning after following the directions provided by the host. I contacted the host to see if there was a solution however the host did not reply until morning of check out - meaning that no flushing toilets or showers were available for our stay - a big factor of why we picked this camp.
Frustratingly, it appears the water issue may have been an easy fix if the host was available to reply to messages, or include the necessary instructions on check-in if this situation arises for others.

Tuross River Camping Nerrigundah
Our stay at Tuross River Camping in Nerrigundah was nothing short of outstanding. For nearly three days, we didn’t see another soul—just the sound of the river, the birds, and the crackling campfire. It was pure, uninterrupted tranquility, exactly what you want from a true camping experience.
The setting is breathtaking, with pristine river views, lush surroundings, and a sense of total seclusion. It’s the perfect spot to switch off, relax, and soak in nature at its best. We spent time fishing (though the fish weren’t biting), but we did manage to reel in some massive eels, which made for an unexpected adventure!
Honestly, we wish we had stayed longer. This place is a rare find, and we’ll absolutely be back for another visit. If you’re looking for a peaceful escape with stunning scenery and a true off-the-grid feel, Tuross River Camping is the place to be!

Utopia by name, utopia by nature. This is a magical place and I would camp there in a heartbeat. I can't wait to swim in the pristine waters of the Tuross River again. We'll be back!

The most beautiful Hipcamp we have ever stayed at. The river, the property, the facilities were exquisite and we literally didn’t want to leave, and can’t wait to be back with our big kids. More importantly, our dog is already begging for is to re-book! Thank you Sharon and Co for sharing this beautiful Utopia with us.
Drive in was lovely. Definitely suited to 4WD’s in the rain, and we will definitely try and bring our mountain bikes next time.

An absolutely beautiful part of the world and you have it all to yourself. Not having to share this unspoilt piece of paradise with any other campers makes this a very special place indeed! I think Nerrigundah is an extraordinary Hipcamp. I spent a lot of time in the river taking advantage of mother nature’s spa. Don’t skimp on the sunscreen. Bring a decent first aid kit (clumsy me nearly stacked it getting into the river). Don’t plan on doing trips to the beach or anywhere else, because once you’re there you won’t want to leave.
I took a FF camper (nearly 1900kgs) and it is a steep drive in and out. Easy to do in dry weather. I imagine it’d be a challenge getting out after a bit of rain. It’s heartening to see that this area has regenerated so well. Thank you for opening up your property to visitors and I’m certain I’ll return.
