Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
We have 7 acres of Northern Rivers sub-tropical bush land to set up your self-contained camping experience. Nestled between Tweed Valley Way and the Pacific Motorway, Mooball Amaroo offers easy access to explore neighbouring towns of Pottsville, Brunswick Heads and Byron Bay. Our property also directly adjoins the Northern Rivers Bike Trail- a fantastic spot for biking enthusiasts! All guests must be fully self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste with them on departure. Relax by our fire pit after exploring and have a stroll through our little onsite walks to stretch your legs. This is a strictly self contained experience only, there are no toilet’s available here.

A bonus is that we are next to the Northern Rivers Rail trail, so bring your bikes and enjoy the semis trail. No amenities yet but they are on the horizon! This is a lush camp site but you will hear traffic from the main road. Four minutes to North Byron Parklands!

This site is smaller than our other Railside site, best for smaller vehicles and groups. Safely pull your caravan in to stay overnight or for a few days on a lush property conveniently located off the highway and close to coastal attractions and amenities. Great place for an overnight stop

Great little place for an overnight stop. We came to cycle the rail trail, it was right there. Not far from the highway. Mooball pub very close n great for dinner

Overall it was a good experience, nice sites, quiet, closeish to town (30m to Byron or so). Only downside we experienced was an enormous amount of mosquitoes. Given the recent rain and such that shouldn’t be a massive surprise but nonetheless made the experience less enjoyable

Lauren and her family were the kindest of hosts! They even got a little campfire going for us after we got in late and pitched our tent in the last hour of light. Some noise from the nearby highways but we both had earplugs so slept well. The stars in the night sky were beautiful.

Nice little campsite right on the trail trail. Camped here and cycled up to murwillumbah for lunch. Great weekend.

Overall good experience, host is friendly and good communication. Stayed for one night and it’s right on the rail trail - it was fun to wake up to cyclists zipping by! My husband and our son rode so this was super convenient. Negative was that it is very noisy with traffic from the main road and nearby highway (you don’t see the location properly until after you book). Still, thankful we had somewhere to pull up for the night.

Perfect for trail riders

Perfect spot to get away and for anyone wanting to experience the rail trail. We had a beautiful shady spot that definitely ticked all the boxes. Steve and Lauren are friendly and helpful hosts that made sure our stay was both private and comfortable. Highly recommended
