My property consists of 100 acres with two rivers joining in the property with at least 1 km of river frontage. We are located in the foothills of the Nambucca valley. Pristine beaches are 20 minutes away, mountains and four-wheel drive tracks are a quick 20 minutes the other way. From here it's 15 minutes to Bellingen, 25 minutes to the famous Pub With No Beer and 5 minutes to the historic "verandah posts" town of Bowraville. Here you will find beautiful bird watching, animals and wildlife. Park your car or set up your caravan next to the river where you will wake up to amazing views. Enjoy a peaceful walk along the riverbank, breathe in the fresh clean air, try a spot of fishing or sit back and enjoy some bird watching. Warm your feet by the campfire in the evenings. ​We're located 20 minutes from Nambucca Heads as well as Scotts Heads beaches, and 30 minutes from Taylors Arm. A quick trip up into the foothills will take you to some great 4WD and mountain biking tracks, or you can explore the region and visit the historical Pub With No Beer. You need to be a self-contained camper with your own camping toilet/shower. There is access to drinking water, a picnic table and rubbish facilities. We recommend 4WDs to access the campsite and the river but 2WDs are ok. We had a fab few days at Wia Ora There’s nice green grass and a sandy gravel bottom in the Nambucca River, perfect for swimming, fishing, watching the cattle and cute little calves move from one paddock to the other side was very entertaining Great camp Thanks for having us Nick 😊

We couldn't fault anything with our stay at Nick's. If you are looking for a place with a view by the creek weather it be for a relaxing time away or with family you won't be disappointed as Wia ora hip camp caters for both. Thanks for sharing you little piece of paradise Nick and we will definitely be back.

Quick little stay due the rain. Host was great with communication and arrival check in, even late and in poor conditions. But beautiful spot on the creek and some friendly cows too!

What a beautiful camp spot. A great getaway with our dogs who loved the creek and were able to wander and enjoy the break. It was peacful and relaxing. A lovely big area to enjoy. A big Thanks to Nick our host who was helpful and friendly. We will be back again.

Peaceful,lovely cows roaming around,kids love seeing the cows ,nice fresh water creek , swimming for all ages ,shade ,mowed area . We all really enjoyed our stay , leave as you find it,able to have a small campfire 🔥 , short drive to town for supplies (iga) . Highly recommended.

This place is literally heaven on earth. We drove in and were very soon surrounded by cows, horses and the most beautiful birds who came closer and closer as they grazed. The water is the most beautiful pristine water we have seen and the colours are incredible, especially when the sun hits. We spent our last morning watching the fish jump out of the water just completely overwhelmed by the place. We can't wait to come back one day. We just wish it was closer to home.

A little slice of heaven

I'm hesitant to give an honest review about Wia Ora Crossing out of fear it will become too popular 🤭. However, in fairness to the lovely host Nick, we have to say that there is something just a little bit magic about this place. There's a truly peaceful feeling here. The absolute seclusion from the world with nothing but the sounds of nature. From the trickling river, the many & varied bird calls (Kookaburras are in abundance) the fish jumping & swimming upstream & the crackling of a fire at night. The water is the cleanest & clearest we have seen & makes for a stunning backdrop & was so refreshing to swim in. We definitely recommend taking binoculars to see the many beautiful birds up close. We also enjoyed watching the cows & the resident horse is very friendly. The ground is a little uneven but we managed to level our van without too much effort. It's also a great base for day trips to Nambucca Heads, Coffs Harbour & Urunga just to name a few. Overall we loved our stay at Wia Ora & will definitely return again. It's 10/10 for the way we like to camp.

Nick youve done it again. We had a beautiful time relaxing here despite the weather. The creek was perfect to relax and swim in to cool off. Looking forward to coming back again

Can’t get any better than this place. Private, crystal clear water, dog friendly and you get to be surrounded by cows and horses at sun down at they come down to the creek for a drink

We had such a wonderful stay at Wia Ora Crossing. The private campsite made it feel peaceful and secluded, and the creek just steps away was absolutely beautiful. The swimming hole is a real highlight — clear, refreshing, and completely private. It was the perfect place to switch off, relax, and enjoy nature without any interruptions. Thank you Nick for sharing your beautiful property with us. We left feeling recharged and can’t wait to return !

This campsite was absolute magic. The grounds were pristine and peaceful, with plenty of space to spread out and enjoy nature. The river was a dream—clean, calm, and perfect for swimming. We loved sharing the space with the friendly cows and the sweetest horse, who greeted us like old friends. Our dogs were in heaven, running free and soaking up the fresh air. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down, breathe deeply, and smile a lot. We felt completely relaxed and connected to the land. Highly recommend—can’t wait to come back!

Just lovely Beautiful clean creek, soft spongey grass amd and plenty of space Perfect for a group of friends or filies getting together Cow parade on dusk with calves in tow - turtles swimming around. Fires allowed . Yay for Nick and sharing his fine farm.

Well what an amazing place Wia Ora is. We didn’t get to see Nick but his communication for our stay and how to get there was fantastic. Nick’s property is absolutely amazing. The stream was clear, cold but not freezing. The cows and horse were amazing to watch, come close to camp then wander across the river to the other side, then late afternoon come back over river to our side and graze until they wandered up to top paddock. We had two cows come up close and even had a lay down by our camp for a fiesta. Had a lovely walk upstream and at times it was only knee high so you could walk in the water. We set up camp under the trees for shade and to be close by the stream. No service so it was so easy to disconnect to city life and worries and relax and enjoy the scenery, our dog absolutely loved the space to throw a stick and the water. Nice drive to Nambucca heads to beach and shops. We definitely will be returning for sure. We stayed a week but would have loved to have stayed longer.

A beautiful, quiet, clean and relaxing place to chill out for a couple of days. The water here is crystal clear and there’s a great spot right in front of your camp to have a dip. We would definitely recommend.

WOW !!!!! My partner and I along with our 2 doggos had the most amazing time here. The camp spot is immaculate and perfect, the running water was so clear and fresh. No mozzies, no flys, everything was perfect. Nick was a great host and the property was stunning. We will definitely stay here again and as often as possible.

What a fantastic getaway. So glad we chose Nick's place to stay for a weekend away. Stunning secluded location on the river, where we were able to swim and enjoy some very peaceful downtime away from the hustle and bustle. If you're looking for a quiet and relaxing time away, this is the spot.
