**Please let me know if you are bringing a caravan, I can only accomodate caravans at certain sites with the weather** Our property is just 25 minutes from Canberra City but feels a world away, and offers a peaceful country paradise and wide open spaces. We have several sites for 100% self-contained campers, where you'll be spoilt with spectacular views of the Tinderry Mountains, access to undulating walking trails, and the Namadgi National Park nearby. On clear nights, the stars here are spellbinding. We have many animals here too! View our placid Scottish Galloway cattle (currently with calves!) pat our friendly poddy Cody and grab a photo opportunity. We also have a beautiful horse Ali and her yearling colt diesel, just watch your fingers with him, gelded now but still thinks he’s a stallion. 5 fat Dorper sheep look like running rugs running around. A real country experience! An Angora goat and slashed tracks to access the beautiful 130 acres around the farm. The small village of Michelago is 5km from our property, has the fuel servo and a terrific General Store, which serves great burgers and milkshakes plus much more. 20mins to the town of Bredbo with its own pub is great for counter lunches and dinners. The Town of Cooma, the gateway to the Snowy mountains is a 40 min drive south. Also if you want to go camping with friends and introduce them to the great outdoors and they don’t have the gear ask about our hire service of all things needed to have a great camp, some are listed but more is always available to hire, just send me a message. As one of our many happy Hipcamp guests have said the photos don’t do the views justice, they are truely spectacular:) Thats all folks, our paradise is your paradise to enjoy.

A spot near the 360 degree Views campsite, but for one night only stays only. (As the 360 degree sites are usually a min 2 night stay) we have offered this chance to enjoy the Tinderry Mountain Ranges and Michelago Valley views best views on the property for a single hopefully Starry magical night! Please note that if you can't bring your own toilet/Ensuite facilities, you can hire @ $15 a night, fire pit and our wood @ $15- per night and Gazebo hire is $20 per night just ask and see if I can lighten your car load with my hireable extras :)

Our property is just 25 minutes from Canberra City but feels a world away, and offers a peaceful country paradise and wide open spaces. We have several sites for 100% self-contained campers, where you'll be spoilt with spectacular views of the Tinderry Mountains, access to undulating walking trails, and the Namadgi National Park nearby. On clear nights, the stars here are spellbinding. We have many animals here too! View our placid Scottish Galloway cattle during the heat of the day they huddle under trees for shade. We have our 3 beautiful horses, and five Dorper sheep Rugs roaming around. We also have a few four legged "lawnmowers" out the front. A real country experience!   If you'd like to have a contained fire for heating and cooking, we can provide you a fire pit free of charge. Firewood can be purchased on site for $15/night. You can BYO axe or saw if you'd like to cut it down further to size.  If you are bringing kids, please let us know so we can place you in the best place for your family! We are happy to allow Family & friends to camp together. Message me to enquire which Sites are more suited for this pls. However each booking/cost of Site is for 1 vehicle, (if you are bringing more than one vehicle so as to not pack up your camp and want to travel around the area this is allowable) Message the Hosts so we can help you to book in :) Please contact the Hosts if you'd like to bring more than 15 people per booking and we can discuss! This site is a large park like site, has 3 sites on the one site, that is great for friends and family where you can spread out. It can suit caravans etc. There are lots of trees so it can be nice and shady. Bring shade for morning midday sun as the sun sets behind the trees to shade in the afternoon, can be windy certain times of the year be prepared, site comes with 2 hammocks and a picnic table setup which can be moved to your preferred location. Private setting as only #1 & #2 sites are accessible for the booked guests via a gate for that side of the property. Only one fire pit is to be used if paying for wood @$15 per night. Wood is expensive.

Paddock view #5 site is private and spacious with 2-3 sites on the one site, if wanting to have other vehicles/family/friends just get them to book another paddock view site and let me know you are joining the P/V # 1 Booking via messages to me. Bring shade to guard against the morning sun or windy times as the site only has 2 big trees. This site has 2 hammocks and picnic table setup and benches to take in the Namadgi National park views behind your site and lovely views to the mountains, the big dam down the track has benches to enjoy the antics of the residend tiny water birds, plenty of tracks to access the farm for bike riding or long walks and view our docile Galloway Cows eating, 3 horses in a front pasture, some sheep and kangaroos, bird life and viewing the eagles circling is a magic sight.

Wonderful views. Had the place to ourselves. Very peaceful place. Road in was fine for a caravan (22ft) with a capable 4WD. May be trickier in the wet with a large van.

I enjoyed camping here, close to Canberra and offering a great view of the valley. Spectacular in the morning. I missed the entrance to the property It is not a full driveway as such but pretty easy to find and not far off the hiway. No facilities but that's why I go there. Host was lovely. 'Hammock was actually very relaxing.

We had the best stay during Easter long weekend. Claudia was lovely, for example brought hammocks to our kids. A curious horse was keeping us company which was quite special.

We had an amazing stay at Michelago HILLDYKE, a charming 160-year-old farm. The campsite was absolutely beautiful, with a variety of site options to choose from. We opted for the 360-degree view site, perfect for stargazing, and it exceeded our expectations. Claudia was a fantastic host, always responsive and accommodating, which made our experience even better. A highlight of our stay was the delightful visit from the friendly cows and horses, adding a special touch to the serene atmosphere. The hammocks provided were a thoughtful addition, offering the perfect spot to relax and soak in the peaceful surroundings. Highly recommend this wonderful escape! – Peter

Nice site isolated enough to enjoy the night sky. We met some horses who came to say hi at night. Claudia was very welcoming and friendly.

Loved the space! Terrific views 360. The site was well set out and fairly easy to access with 2wd RV. The noise from the Monaro Hwy below is apparent throughout the day but not excessive, unless you want to escape all vehicle noises. Claudia was welcoming and ready to help with anything needed. Mobile reception (Telstra) is great. Lovely easy place to be.

Claudia was a fab, friendly host and nothing was too much trouble. Views were fabulous! Thought it was quite expensive when getting charged for children on top of standard rates but enjoyed our stay 😊

This is an outstanding camping spot for brilliant elevated views over the high country. Very peaceful, quiet grassed site and facilities for a fire, fairly necessary on a cold night. cows are friendly and kangaroos inquisitive though wary as we had our dog. Claudia is a great host.

On the map it looks close to Monaro Hwy, so was concerned about noise - but in reality the landscape is such that there's no road noise - very peaceful and quiet and nice sunset views. And old cow came by in the early hours and a few Kangas around at dawn and dusk. Also, great mobile reception thanks to a tower on a neighboring hill. Hope to make it back sometime.

This was one of my favourite Hipcamps I’ve booked in a long time! Claudia is such an incredible host, we booked over the long weekend and didn’t see or hear anyone else. I recommend doing the cow meet and greet! Such a special experience!

Claudia was a very accomodating host ! The property was amazing. Views were absolutely jaw dropping. I definitely recommend being introduced to all the farm animals. They are very friendly and Claudia kindly showed us around. She takes wonderful care of them and treats them as members of the family. The instructions to the property were clear and the drive to the campsite easy. Claudia met us at the gate and we followed her there. The campsite was clean and very comfortable to spend the night. Lots of kangaroos and birds in the area which was wonderful. We 11/10 recommend staying at this Hipcamp. Note: it can get a bit chilly even in summer so pack a jacket !

This site was perfect for us given that we're newbies and do not have much gears. Claudia had been an exceptional host as well providing us extras <3 we only spent 1 night but wish we could stay longer. Would definitely go back and watch those stars and magical moonrise again :)

We loved the views, Claudia was lovely and great host. The place it was peaceful,.pretty easy to find. Just watch out for Kangaroos at the entry and the communication with Claudia was also great, always answering questions and happy to help.
