Malabar Farm

We had a great night at Riverbend. Its a private site with plenty of choices to set up camp. The creek was beautiful, not too cold. You do jear some road noise but ots nothing major. Such a great place to relax and unwind.

Had a great time. The area was nicely mowed. Afternoon shade was great. Caught a few Bass. Wish I had more time to explore the river. The grand children loved seeing the horses. The location was great just 65 km for our family to come down from Gold Coast and 165k/m for us to come up from Clarence Valley NSW

My Wife and I, along with our dog, loved camping at River Bend with this one on the list to return to. Lovely big open site and very private. William is a great host and was very accommodating meeting and welcoming us on arrival and showed us to our site.

We loved Malabar farm stay Our spot was horsehoe bend and we will definitely book that spot again Beautiful peaceful spot very private Could watch the creek and see the horses on the land We are a full set up but there was use of a toilet and showers if needed

Great, hassle free and private location. Very close to Uki. Has a nice small flowing waterway wrapping around campsite and host had mowed site prior to our arrival. Was also grateful to be able to have shower on our way out. Highly recommended if you are fairly self sufficient. Great spot for an over nighter.

My partner and I went camping here for the weekend and we had a really nice relaxing time. The owners were really lovely and easy to communicate with. Very welcoming and helpfuls as well. A little less privacy than what the images suggest but still completely worth the stay. Really pretty and well maintained area and the animals and stargazing were a pretty good bonus We did have to deal with a lot of horse flys (obviously out of the owners control) just keep in mind when choosing this place. But overall would definitely recommend to staying here

Great location...facilities very clean. Had a lot of fun kayakng up the tweed river. Our camp spot was so lovely, the tranquil sound of trickling water and the sound of different bird life. Walking distance to pub. We will be back.

The site was peaceful and private with plenty of flat ground for setting up. There was a lovely little stream that ran along the back and we even saw fireflies at night! The amenities block with a hot shower is only a short walk from camp. We had a great stay.

We recently stayed for two nights at this camp spot with our two young kids (5 & 2). While the listing looked promising, the experience didn’t quite meet expectations. Firstly, the site wasn’t as private as the photos suggested — the main residence is very close by and overlooks the campsite, which took away from the sense of seclusion we were hoping for. The area also hadn’t been maintained; the grass was long, and there were weeds throughout, including castor oil plants. A quick mow would have made a big difference. We were also disappointed when we attempted to take a short walk with our kids down the public road at the entry to the property. They had little plastic bikes and were enjoying riding the gentle slopes. However, the host approached us and told us we weren’t allowed to be there due to safety concerns, even though it’s a public road. We felt this was a bit over the top — we were supervising closely, the kids were having fun, and there was no issue at the time. Firewood was a bit too overpriced for very poor timber too. Burned through two bags within a couple of hours for $40. Overall, the stay was okay, but a few small changes and a more welcoming attitude could have made it much better

Stunning Views and Relaxation

We’ve just returned from an incredible stay at this beautiful campsite. A well-maintained gravel road leading all the way to the site. An elevated spot, the campsite has sweeping views over the picturesque south and west corner of the farm and Tweed River. To the north, you're treated to an incredible view of the impressive dam with two timber jetties. We spent a great afternoon/s lounging in deck chairs, soaking in the sun. It’s just a great place to camp with easy access, this site ticks many boxes. We’ll be back!

Absolutely beautiful spot. Stunning property. The views of the 2 peaks are amazing whether in clear sky or mist. Loved being on top of the hill with the picturesque tree & tyreswing. All on our own which we loved, couldn’t see another camper even though there are a few sites. Close to Uki for cafes/pub. Not far from GC. Phone reception good. Little unsure about bridge driving in, though says can withstand 15 tonne. I would check with owner re access to site if it’s been really rainy which is common out this way. Was glad it was dry for us with a 4wd + 6m caravan as last little bit to access site is a slightly steep grassy patch, feel that could be slippery & muddy in very wet conditions. Wouldn’t recommend for a big rig. But anyone else go for it! We had an incredible time, great adventure, can’t wait to come back.

Beautiful spot, we loved star gazing, having winter dip in the clear creek and the peaceful quiet atmosphere. The spot was easy to get to, hosts very friendly and quick to respond and it was great to have access to firewood. Went with my kids for their first time camping and it was an incredible first experience for them. There are friendly dogs that come and say hello and they sometimes bark in the day but were very quiet at night. Highly recommend and we hope to come back.

Amazing campsite with fantastic views of the surrounding mountains. Close to town (walkable) but feels like you are a world away. Hosts were very helpful and site was easy to find. Had a great stay and will definitely be back again!

What a picturesque campsite! We slept by a flowing creek, met the horses, wandered around the farm and then watched the sunset over the hills, pure magic. We couldn't recommend Malabar Farm enough! If you're looking for a tranquil weekend away this place is it!

Great Location! We had a lovely stay at Malabar Farm. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. The locals in the area were just as friendly, which really added to the warm atmosphere. The site was quite wet during our stay, but given the amount of rain recently, that was to be expected and didn’t dampen our experience. Overall, it was a great trip, and we’ll definitely be returning!
