Pro: The farm is pretty.
Con: I wished I read other reviews more carefully. I absolutely hate leaving anything less than a 5 star review. But the truth is: this campsite is not adequately setup to accept the volume of campers/reservations it accepted.
During October long weekend, there were 80+ people camping across the farm (I counted at least 30 cars) PLUS additional day trippers for the horse riding during the daytime --let's be conservative and call it 90 people.
For 90 people, there were only 5 toilets (2 permanent + 3 portable toilets), and only 2 showers. After 1 day, one of the permanent bathroom (toilet+shower) was out of order. So that left 90 people with only 4 toilets and 1 shower. The queue for the shower was 40minutes at night and the morning queue was even longer. People got frustrated and started using the out-of-order toilet that does not flush, which left quite a stench -- while people were next to it waiting in queue to use the other toilet. Throughout the night, we could also hear the loud banging of the portable toilet across the farm.
Not only did the camp site advertised it has hot shower, but it also advertised access to water. There was no sink or facilities to do the basic like light wash of dishes after meal. We found only one tap at the back of the main building. When we used it to rinse dishes, we were told off for using it as this is the water they need to live on.
Of all the campsites we have been to, this is the less equipped with the basic amenities that it advertised. If it had been truthful and said there was no access to water, only 2 showers for all campers, and portable toilets, we would have expected differently and came equipped with gears and water. Alternately, if it had limit and accepted only a reasonable number of reservations (camper to toilet ratio), this would have been a far-far different experience. Which is a total shame, as this farm campsite has potential.
