Greg was an amazing host, lovely bloke who was more than happy to show us around or have a chat.
His property is vast, set on a beautiful ridge-line with views as far as the eye can see. There are easy level 4x4 tracks all over the property (Greg encourages you to explore any and every track around the farm) with the highlight being a 45 minute loop exploring a long cleared ridge line. The back side of the loop has a decent down into the valley, following a return route up through a wooded gully. Most tracks were completed by stock 2x4 utes with some challenging lines only attempted by our groups 4x4 engaged utes. There are multiple campsites along the track for those wanting a truely remote site.
The dam is well set up for relaxing and having a bit of fun with many possible activities. Our group was able to catch 2 yellow belly’s. Boats, kayak’s and canoes are all available for anyone to use.
We will definitely be back for another trip, highly recommended for those wanting to get out into the sticks. No phone service other than on the ridge line

Greg is a very helpful host, even bringing us fresh chook eggs for breakfast one morning. The property is large enough for a good level of privacy, however the lack of running water (river or stream) makes it hard to recommend. The dam is small and doesn’t welcome swimmers.

Had an amazing time at Lochlomond campsite. Greg is super friendly and cool. The area is huge, perfect for exploration. Stunning scenery and cozy campfires made our stay unforgettable. Highly recommend!

Loch lomond was a nice peaceful getaway! The secluded vibe and landscape made for an amazing weekend. Greg was a lovely host and took the time to guide us through the grounds. Definitely recommend 4WD so you can explore more of the place with ease.

We would highly recommend this camp site, we got 4 dogs running around crazy with no issues, Greg given us beautiful site with no one around us and with a small dam. We Weill go back again.

Not for us. Unless you’re fully self contained and don’t mind minimal flat ground I would avoid. Some may like. We didn’t.

Lovely quiet spot for camping on Greg's huge property. Nice flat area. Plenty of firewood. A true camping experience. Portable toilet a useful facility.
Greg was a quick and easy communicator and super friendly as well. We all had an absolute blast and would head back anytime! Thanks for the great stay!

The farm is very run down with a lot of scrap and old furniture around the place. Access is very rough down to the dam. The dam is not flowing and not swimmable. There are no level campsites at the dam at all. 500m further down a very rough access road into the valley is the cow field which is quite picturesque. However very rough access, and challenging to find a level site. Full of fresh cow pats (and flies).
Trail bikes on the property late afternoon and morning.
At midnight the shooting started. The children were terrified and the adults pretty scared - we were on private property with no mobile network. No notice or information was given.
On packing up and leaving at first light, I questioned the owner. He said that he'd had foxhunters there that night. I suggested that he a) should have informed us, and b) that he should not have campers on the property whilst fox shooting is taking place - both for safety and being able to get a night's sleep. He apologized and thought that may have been a good idea.
On leaving in the morning, we realized that the approaching cows also included a fully grown bull - in the same field in which we were told to camp.
Gregory is a nice bloke, however showed little awareness as a host. As very experienced HipCampers I would dissuade others from going to this listing.

This campsite is on a huge property with lots of space to walk and relax. We enjoyed the silence, the scenery and read lots of books. Our dog had a swim in the dam and enjoyed his walks. Greg was welcoming and helpful. We chose to camp at walking distance from the toilet. Next time we would probably camp in the valley a bit further down for more shade and a flatter area.

Relaxing, Quiet and easy going. Greg made this simple. No hassle, easy access and accommodating. Plenty of wood for the fire. Wallabies, Lizards and the Dam were highlights.

Greg was a great host. On arrival he met with us and showed us a few spots to choose from. We chose a beautiful spot on top of a hill looking out over trees and gullies.
Plenty of tracks to explore around the property as well as a few dams with a main community dam which was setup with a BBQ and canoes etc to have a bit of fun.
Most spots on property are accessable with a 2wd and other less easy spots accessable with a 4wd. We got out 4wd and camper into the more desolate area without a problem.
After spending 5 days there can definitely recommend Lochlomond. We took our dog who also loved it!

It was so peaceful and my dogs loved to be able to be off lead and play in our camp area without having to worry about other campers being close.
Had a wonderful time exploring the dam and walking the hills and enjoying the views, and then settling by the campfire with drinks and damper…

Our family of four enjoyed three relaxing nights near the dam. A few other campers and one small group, but they were there for the peace and quiet too! Each spot appears well spread from the others, with others on the property reasonably remote.
Near the dam was a bit hard to level the 14" camper in a spot that provided full sun for the roof top solar; but we managed. Further out the back (5min walk) is a large, open, green and level area for those not seeking proximity to the dam or toilet.
Not a lot of wildlife noise or activity. Kids enjoyed their time 'disconnected'.

Awesome off-grid spot! Nice and level and cleared with heaps of room. Couldn’t ask for much more. Dog friendly was a huge plus too!

Google maps took us right to the farm gate, easy to find. Camping on Gregory’s farm was wonderful. We were 3 families (15 people and 2 dogs) we could see or hear no one else (and no one could hear us). Beautiful, hilly farmland, a great place to camp.

Beautiful campsite by the big damn, kids loved the walks, sheep, cows, fishing & kayaks. While we relaxed bu the campfire 🔥

Great spot next time the dam. Very quiet and peaceful.
Only downside was the road was a little rough to get in and tough to find a level spot for the campervan but we made it work with our levelimg boards.
