We love this camping spot for its convenience. Close to the highway without the noise. We also like the ability to choose where to camp as one of our doggies is nervous of other dogs. Thanks again!

Duncan responded very quickly to a question. Close to the highway. Grounds were great loved watching the chickens so relaxing. The amenities were fantastic. Would highly recommend we had a great stay

Duncan, the friendly, no fuss host with a beautiful piece of country to share! We found Kookaburra to be a peaceful spot for a one or two night stop, decent amenities and lots of wildlife.

Kookaburra Solo Traveller
Absolute delight! Duncan (the owner) and Rick (lives on site) are both wonderful blokes to have a yarn to. Full of knowledge in farm life, Bushland, and many things you wouldn’t guess. The amenities are 5 star and kept SO clean. A friendly horse that if you’re lucky you’ll see galloping. A funny resident goat, and a friendly fat sheep. Your eyes can look as far as you can see, at endless pasture. My kids who are hard to please, loved it so much they were sad to leave after 3 days - and that was without using devices! Kids just find things to do, and make games to play!
Bring a Soccor ball, a bag of carrots for the horse, some paper and colours, and a good book! You’ll love it here.

We loved camping at Kookaburra! Beautiful camp ground with super clean facilities. So much space to choose from. Loads of fire pits everywhere and firewood for sale at the site. Loved the animals wandering around including the very inquisitive horse. Lots of wildlife about. Easy to find and drive in to. Would definitely come back!

We loved staying at Duncan’s place!! The bathroom and showers facilities were clean and modern. The set up of individual fire pits was a great addition to our winter holiday and the kids loved Doodle the horse, Ralf the goat and the sheep. Over all a great place for the family!! We will be back next winter :)

Beautiful place to stay. Facilities were incredible. Everyone was very welcoming including the animals! We camped in a tent in winter and were recommended a spot on the property that the sun would hit in the morning to help with warmth and frost. Worked a treat. Morning view was magical.
Also bring your telescope/camera as the night sky is a treat!

A beautiful, quiet campsite! Literally 600 acres of walking tracks - definitely ask Duncan how to get down to the creek, well worth the 5km round trip. You pick your own spot so everyone was really spaced out, some leveled spots and some you might need leveling ramps for. We'll definitely be back!

Great spot to camp. Fantastic amenities block. The sheep and horse can be a bit problematic scrounging for food! The sheep needed their hooves trimmed, so hope that's been attended to.

Duncan the host is a character as we found it funny when asking questions. Once one person has asked 5 questions you wasn’t allowed to ask anymore as you have done your quota but the next person can start there questions. Fantastic open grass area and plenty of room. The toilets and showers are excellent as they have 2 showers and 2 toilets for men and same for women. They also have a disabled toilet and shower on the same block. You will more than likely get a visit from the horse and a couple of gusts that are on the property. Duncan also has firewood for sale for $15 a wheel barrow load.
We will be back again Duncan with another new 5 questions
To ask and hopefully bring our friends and family back down here from QLD.

Great spot! Beautiful views, most excellent showers and toilets. Lovely to walk around the property and easy access to places we wanted to explore. Duncan great to chat to and heaps of firewood for the cold nights at a very reasonable cost. The animals and chickens just added to the stay

Great facilities, well planned and thought out. Shady and sunny spots to choose from. Plenty of fire rings and firewood for purchase if you don’t bring your own. There are 2 sheep and horse that roam the campground so don’t not leave any food out if you are not in camp as it may go missing.

Duncan’s property was perfect for our family. The facilities were perfect with hot showers and the kids loved exploring. We stayed for 3 nights and I definitely could’ve stayed longer, it was so restful. Thanks for having us!

This farm stay is a perfect slice of country paradise, offering a peaceful escape from technology, noise, and the fast pace of life. The natural beauty and abundant wildlife are complemented by friendly farm animals especially Ralph the goat, who loves to eat! There are plenty of nearby walking tracks to explore.
Duncan is a kind and generous host with a great sense of humor. He clearly takes pride in his property, which is a gem, and ensures guests have a wonderful stay. The amenities are excellent, including readily available and affordable firewood, potable water, and two lovely, very hot showers, and two flushable toilets (as well as an extra disability-accessible one). There are ample fire pits and plenty of space with unallocated sites, some shaded by trees and others in open fields.
Despite a busy Easter long weekend with at least a couple dozen campers, plenty of friendly dogs, and some kids too, the atmosphere remained peaceful and quiet, offering a truly restful experience.
Duncan keeps the facilities exceptionally clean and well-stocked. Any issues that arise (it is a farm, after all) are resolved immediately. I have absolutely no complaints and highly recommend this perfect stay. Thanks, Duncan!

Beautiful place enough space to not be close to other campers. Deepwater town is a beautiful small town full of things to do and see. I recommend to visit it in autumn

Kookaburra Camping & Caravan Park
We had a fantastic Easter long weekend at Kookaburra Camping.
Duncan was a wonderful, friendly host.
The amenities were clean and easily accessible.
The sites were well spread out and very well maintained, and despite being a busy weekend, you still felt like you had plenty of space.
The kids loved exploring, patting the sheep and feeding the horse and we loved the spectacular views.
We will be back!
