Kanimbla is just minutes off the Pacific Highway, almost exactly half way between Sydney and Brisbane so it is a perfect stopping point! Bordered on 2 sides by Eungai Creek, it has an abundance of wildlife, especially birds, and is a short distance from the coastal estuaries of the Nambucca and Macleay Rivers for swimming, boating and fishing, or the surf break at Scott's Head. There are many forest tracks close by for walking, biking and 4WD-ing, and the nearby towns provide fuel, food and more! We have 2 comfortable grassed sites suitable for tents up to small motorhomes. We have many farm animals to see, including Belted Galloway cattle and sheep.

Park in our grassy, private forest- side campsite and wake up to the birds! Relax and listen to the water bubble along the creek. Start the fire and cook a delicous dinner on the coals. It is a large, flat area backing onto the trees, meaning easy parking and setup for almost any sized rig! Enjoy the serenity here or head off to nearly rivers, beaches, towns or forests.

Easy to get to from the highway. Large open flat grassy area. Had the place to ourselves! It was lovely to see a few native animals roaming around our camp at night. We arrived late at night, and had no hassles finding the place and setting up in the dark.

Dam campsite
Great quiet site just off highway. We used one wheel leveler to level the van and had plenty of space and privacy. Lee mowed the lawn before we arrived and we stayed two days. It was a great base to explore the region from.

Lee greeted us at the gate and helped us find the spot - beautiful, relatively secluded, and flat enough to camp without chocks. Absolutely worth the price, made our stay on the way from Brisbane to Melbourne a little more relaxed.

This is an excellent camp site, it’s literally 2 minutes off the highway so a great stop on a road trip. We had the whole place to ourselves it was very private and secluded from everyone thing. It was our favourite campsite on our whole trip. There was a lot of wild life and beautiful nature, it felt like a magical paradise! It’s well priced, and great that you can book very last minute. If you are self sufficient this is a great spot!

We had two amazing nights on the farms land, right beside the creek on a beautiful field. We loved it. The acsesss was not a problem with our 2WD campervan, self-contained. Could even light up a fire. Thanks a lot!

It is a lovely site, the trees behind the site make you feel like you are in the “enchanted forest” Lee and her husband were quick to respond and very welcoming and friendly. Very convenient location if you are travelling Qld-NSW

Forest Campsite was a great stopover for us. Easy access from Eungai Ck Rd along their driveway and to the house where Lee met us and directed us to the camp site through a slashed paddock down to a level grassed area by the forest. It was pretty and the morning walk around the paddock was a great way to start the day.

Great spot for an overnight stay on our way up the coast. Hosts were very helpful and friendly. Although not far off the freeway, it wasn't very noisy at all. Thanks for having us !
