Amazing views, nestled in nature and only 1 minute off the highway. Located close to the Forster-Tuncurry exit. We are located 3 hours north of Sydney and 5 hours south of the QLD Border making it a convenient stop over for your travels, or a nice place to stop and explore the local areas being close to beaches and the Barrington Tops. The property has spectacular views that you won't find anywhere else. We are in a quiet rural area where the neighbours can't be seen. There are walking tracks for you to explore the natural environment. There are many kangaroos, wallabies and numerous amount of birds in the area. The property backs onto national park. There is a river that is only a few kms behind the property that you can put a small boat in to take you out to Saltwater Beach. Old bar beach is a 12 minute drive, Forster-Tuncurry is 15 minutes and the beaches of Pacific Palms a 45 minute drive. There are file piles near the bush sites that you can help yourself too. If in need of groceries or supplies Taree supermarkets and Stores are only 10 minutes away.

Each "site" is to accomodate one vehicle towing a caravan/motorhome etc. You have 3 site options to choose from. We will leave it up to you to choose where you would like. OPTION 1 You can go on top of the hill with the amazing panoramic views. As this is on the top of the hill, unfortunately there will be no shade protection in this area. OPTION 2 There are two protected areas which will give you shade and protection. If staying in these areas you are welcome to still sit at the top of the hill and enjoy the views. DISCLAIMER Sometimes on a windy day the winds can get quite strong as the property is right on the top of a hill. To avoid any damage due to these winds, on a day like that we would ask you to use one of the two protected areas.

we selected a site 5 amongst the tall gums, watching the dappled light shine through the tree tops and the sound of the birds was peacefull, the location was only 5 mins off the highway but very quiet without any traffic noise it was a great stop on our way further south, it is a large site with tall trees, branches and logs were gathered up against the tree by the host, excellent thought. we loved the setting greg

We had a wonderful stay at this campsite! It is beautifully nestled in nature with stunning views and plenty of space and privacy. The surroundings were peaceful and idyllic — the perfect place to relax and unwind. We truly enjoyed our time here and are very grateful for the warm hospitality. Highly recommended!

This is a great place to stop for the night, so close to the highway yet surrounded by nature (no road noise). The directions were very clear and signage made it even easier. Accessibility is great for large vehicles towing large caravans. The sites are very well maintained and spaced out. Would recommend.

Huge sites, but not many level ones. Traffic noise from the highway nearby throughout the night, $40 was a bit far for that

Beautiful property, feels like a destination, yet so close to the highway for a layover. Great sites, flat, well groomed and a pile of firewood! Large trees and lots of bird life.

What an amazing place! Great views, great spots and kinda something for everyone. Just keep in mind, you have to be fully self-sufficient and bring your own toilet etc. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic 2 night stay at this beautifully maintained property. I stayed at the quieter secluded site at the bottom end of the property and found it to be very spacious, well maintanined and very sheltered from the elements. There was an abundance of fire wood that had been bundled by the host and made readily available at no extra cost. Views from the top of the property are stunning and the entire property is a credit to the hosts. Location is soo central to some very desiable locations.

The camp was set on such picturesque gorgeous surroundings with views in every direction. It was quiet and spacious and very well set out and provided firewood. This camp is highly recommended and will not disappointment. Will definitely stay again if in the area.

I absolutely loved our stay in Herring estate, So nice and peaceful to be in the wild away from everyone. Plenty of timber around for a fire and the views of the night sky were amazing and untouched. I'll definitely be back again soon, Thanks Kristy

So close to the freeway, but so quiet. Stayed in miserable weather, so would love to come back so we can explore more and get outside to really take in the serenity. Would highly recommend especially if you need a break from a long trip and don't want to drive too far from the freeway.

The hosts were friendly and the sites easy to find on arrival. The hill top sites have awesome views of the stars on a clear night. Amazing 360 degree views of the ocean and mountains. There is plenty of space so you feel like you are the only ones there. Thank-you for hosting us. We had a relaxing weekend.

Definitely one of our favourite hipcamps. Lots of sites and they are spaced out which means you have your privacy. Due to high winds we chose a secluded site down the far end which was a beautiful clearing and perfect for our purpose. Sites are clean and well maintained. Host communication was great. We definitely will be back. Thanks for having us and our dog.

We camped at the first bush site as it was more private. Well maintained property with plenty of firewood which was great. Some road noise if you’re picky but that’s expected with such a convenient location. Would come here again.

We only stayed one night but the whole experience was really good. Just don’t let google maps take you through the wrong route, follow the instructions from Kirsty and once on the property the signage posted perfectly to your site! 3 sites and all are very far apart that you can hardly see one from the other. Overall just a really comfortable night under the stars!

Absolutely stunning property - we stayed over the Easter long weekend with our dog to avoid crowds. Other campers were all very spread out so we were pleased. There are 3 large camping areas to choose from. We enjoyed walking around the area and birdwatching during our stay. We were sad to move on!

Great Spot, peaceful open space! There were other people staying here also & yet we were so far away from each other it felt like we had this whole place to ourselves. Views are stunning from the top of the hill. Definitely coming back here again.
