We help you get back Into the Wild here at Heliconias The spot is beautiful in what feels like a tropical garden area of our property. There is access to a compost toilet and a super cute warm shower in the forest. The property itself is pretty wonderful and in the winter the black cockatoos love to come in dozens. There is koalas and wallabies also if you're special enough to spot them. But they are around .. so for this reason please keep pets on a leash. Our property is located approximately 20 minutes from Byron Bay. A short drive to the Wilson River and a number of lovely beaches. Enjoy the evenings gazing at the stars as you warm your toes around the campfire. Fires must be contained to the firepit provided. Please ensure the fire pit is completely out before leaving or going to sleep. When the weather is windy it is prohibited to light up the fire pit. Your safety and respect for the land and region is greatly appreciated and important for all of us. If you can take all your rubbish with you also that would be appreciated because we don't keep meat or fish scraps in the bins either and the recycling is also something that fills up fast for us in residence. Leaving the site as you found it is humbly appreciated. Please drive in gently and park only one car in the camp spot. The second car will need to be parked out on the road which is very close. Although if you needed the car for sleep let me know and I will arrange the second car spot for sleep on the property. There is firm ground leading into the camp spot but then it moves into grass which if you drive just into the entrance it will be fine in all weather but please don't drive irresponsibly and such that it will bring the mud up. Your cooperation and respect for the land is greatly needed and appreciated.This is a Beautiful spot in the shaded forest. There’s a flat clearing within a cute spot amongst the pines. You will be surrounded by nature and have the spot all to yourself. The compost toilet is not too far away and there’s a warm forest shower also available. It’s the Prettiest part of the world here while being really close and central to all the good things to do here in byron. The drive back to the hills when you go to byron is relaxing and only 20 minutes away. There is a TOTAL fir ban during Oct-March It is possible to have a camp fire in the autumn and winter months. Please be extra mindful in the pine forest and only ever have one in the fire pit provided and Always put it out once unattended while keeping it low below the rim. There is an easy ramp to go in and enough space to turn for ONE vehicle only. If there is a second vehicle they need to offload on the driveway close by and then go park the car out on the road. It isn’t ideal for vans, caravans or RV’s though. During the wet season 2WD are best to stay out of this camp spot. If it’s been raining it’s really only a spot for a drop off at the driveway with your car and a tent in the spot. Then park out on the street which isn’t too far from the camp spot if you have a regular car. 4WD will be fine but do drive only on the track and nowhere else Enter at your own risk in the rain but it’s best to stay on the safe side and only use it when it’s dry. Vans need to consider another spot on the land which is possible. Just message me before you arrive if you booked it accidentally The energy in the pine forest is very special.
