At Hamiltons Hideaway we have 6 generous sites set on the banks of Pelican Creek. Fishing, mud crabs and wildlife at your site. With access to the Manning River with either a canoe, kayak, SUP or tinny. Or just fish off the bank for a flathead, bream or mullet. Spacious area for a game of cricket or just for the kids to run around. Relax by the creek of an afternoon watching the sunset. We are located 5mins from the Pacific Highway, 5mins to Harrington and 10mins to Crowdy Head. Close to town for shops and courtesy buses run to the property from the local pubs and club. Close to national parks and a short drive to beaches, waterfalls and mountain views.

We loved camping here with our dog, very peaceful and beautiful spot. Lots of wildlife and kangaroos and sheep and gorgeous birds. The camp sights are massive with your own fire pit and if you don’t bring wood that’s fine, cause Jaimie the owner brings it straight to you for $20 a big bag and great wood 🪵. The hosts are super friendly and always on hand if you need them. Definitely be back for a paddle and fish.

Quiet and tidy riverside camp

We had a great couple of nights with our dogs. Communication was great and Jaimie and Greg met us as we rolled in. The sites are massive, well maintained and organised, each with a fire pit and seating. The sites are right on the creek with a mown walkway going to the edge of the property, great for walking the dogs. The only noise around was the wildlife. Very peaceful.

Camping at Harrington hideaway was great. The hosts were very welcoming and laid back. The land is nice and flat and there is a generous amount in each camping spot. Would recommend to anyone.

We had a great time staying at Hamilton's! The campsite was clean, quiet, and beautifully maintained. Sites are well spaced and it felt so private. Hosts were welcoming and so friendly. The fishing at camp was excellent, which made the stay even better. I’d definitely come back for longer next time and recommend this spot to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

A very nice property on the creek. Very well set out sites with plenty of room. Some sites are shaded which was very pleasant. This property is not far from the beach and the town centre. Jaimie greeted us on arrival.

Highly recommend. Great spot. Right on the creek with easy access to the river. Lovely hosts. Loved the way each site was set out so you were not camping on top of others. Close to town. Do your self a favour and stay there. We hope to be back.

Large sites close to the river with plenty of shade from the afternoon sun. Clear instructions to the campsite. On arrival we were welcomed by Jaimie and Greg. Nice place to kick back, relax and have a fish if you wish.

We loved staying at Hamiltons Hideaway. Just perfect for us, very secluded with plenty of space between sites, on the river bank for easy fishing. Not far from anywhere though, so great to go sightseeing without travelling too far. Might I add the bags of firewood were first class. Kindling plus great burning wood in big bags at a great price. We will definitely be spreading the word and we will be back.

Loved our stay at Hamiltons Hideaway. Great spot for kayaking and fishing in the river. Sites were well maintained, flat and tidy. Owners were very friendly and helpful.

We had a lovely stay! Jaime and Greg greeted us on arrival and showed us where to go. They also gave us tips on where to park to get the most sun for the solar. Later, we got treated to a beautiful waratah. It was so peaceful and relaxing, will definitely recommend it.

We had such a lovely time camping! Waking up to bird song, watching sunsets over the river and a quick drive over to the beach for a splash. Jaime and Greg were so welcoming and really easy to reach if needed. The grounds are flat and well maintained, lots of space allocated on site, most of the sites are lined up along the river and plenty of space in between so you don’t feel like you are on top of your neighbour. Would definitely come back, thanks Jamie and Greg!

The camping area was very well maintained, easily accessible & each site is huge so there is enough space between campers. The property is far enough from the main road that you don’t hear any traffic noise yet you are only 5 minutes from town. The hosts, Jamie & Greg, are great & love a chat. I would highly recommend this camp, especially if you have kids.

Easy to find the property and the camping sites are grassed, flat and spacious, with plenty of room for manouvering cars and vans. Right on the creek so you can easily throw a line in if that’s your thing. We were met on arrival and shown to our site, so no guessing if we’re heading to the right spot.

Amazing space , the owners were friendly and helpful , left us alone after checking us in and were available to us if we needed. Perfect spot to kayak and fish, supplied with a fire pit to have our camp fire. Will be back again for sure !

Another fantastic stay at Hamilton's Hideaway! Jaimie and Greg were so hospitable. The site was well kept and huge! Feeding the sheep with the kids was a lovely extra! We cant wait to be back.
