Goodwood Island River Camp offers both camping and cottage. Camping is strictly for Self-contained Caravans/Motorhomes/RV's with a toilet. NO facilities for camping at this property. Our Cottage River and Sky is fully contained. Camping on the Clarence and the North Arm River. Whist we have allotted sites your actual site will be allocated upon arrival. River front sites are weather dependent and cannot be guaranteed based on weather events. Watch Dolphins and other wildlife including Kangaroos and Birds. Fishing, Swimming, Relaxing, hear the ambience of the Pacific Ocean waves in the distance. Kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding (not supplied). Sorry due to insurance restrictions NO motor boats allowed. Nearby Beaches, Surfing, Pubs, Supermarkets, Golf Course. Dog Friendly (well trained to not chase wildlife). Dogs must must kept within your allocated campsite. Goodwood Island River Camp has abundant wildlife including Kangaroos, eagles, goannas and SeaLife in the river. It is always advisable to keep a good distance from all of our resident wildlife as they are in their natural environment. Our cottage 'River and Sky' is on the Clarence and offers two bedrooms with stunning views, kitchen, bathroom, lounge and large deck. The cottage is situated directly across the road from the river and boasts a private beach and grassed area. There is amazing fishing as well. Sunsets are the feature here with incredible views across to the hinterland. Watch Kangaroos, dolphins, eagles, pelicans and a ton of fish! We also have horses should you be interested in some 'equine experiences' (ground work only). You will forever remember your stay at River and Sky Cottage! River and Sky Cottage is also pet friendly - well behaved quiet dogs ONLY.

The Beautiful Clarence River

We loved our time here at Scott's place. Right on the banks of the Clarence River. It was great being amongst the kangaroos and the 2 horses....especially the cheeky poppy who was super friendly. We saw dolphins twice coming up river and and a few Eagles hanging around. Thanks for a great place to stay.

We had a fantastic stay! The campground was beautifully quiet and set right on the river, which made for a really peaceful few days. We were able to fish straight from camp and even caught a few, which was a highlight. It’s also dog-friendly, which made the trip even better. The location is great and only a short drive into both Iluka and Yamba for supplies, beaches, cafés, markets and pub lunch. The host was welcoming, helpful and just genuinely great to deal with. Would definitely recommend and look forward to coming back!

Great location, with beautiful views. There's plenty of space, not crowded, unlike the caravan parks. Great spot for fishing and close to Iluka and short drive to Yamba. We also brought our paddle boards and had some beautiful paddles down the river each morning. Would def stay again!

We had a beautiful time and had the place mostly to ourselves. We wore lots of kangaroos and caught some fish. The wind can pick up super strong though so need to have things well secured down.

This is a truly magical spot. You get to camp right next to the river, it is private and peaceful. It’s a great place to set up and enjoy the region. We did not manage to catch any fish but filled our pots with crabs everyday. I would definitely recommend a stay to enjoy the serenity.

This spot was so good!! We are a family of 6 - 2 adults 4 kids and spent 4 nights - we loved the river for fishing, we also spotted dolphins a few times. Loved the wallabies & Roos around. Great location for day trips out around the area - we did Iluka beach, Iluka bluff, Iluka bluff cove & Yamba Main beach and angourie rock pools. Loved night time fires.

We had a great time at Goodwood Island. Due to the rain we had to camp back from the river but Scott was a great host, giving us plenty of notice and allowing us to pick a spot we wanted. There are so many kangaroos and birds around bit they don’t bother anyone. The sites are grassy and clear, which meant we didn’t have any issues getting the caravan level or power to the solar panels. We’ll be back for sure.

Scott was very helpful as camping on the river wasn't possible due to rain. But camped up back of property great area green grass lots of kangaroos to watch. Loved our stay will definitely go again.

This was our first time camping here and it won’t be our last for sure, what a awesome place to stay, we caught fish and crab 🦀 directly from our camp spot, and the host Scott was very helpful, sold firewood but the truck load for $50 we couldn’t burn it all on our time we stayed for 3 knights, Very peaceful but still close enough to drive to iluka and Yamba but still having that bush camp fire 🔥 camp trip, the dog certainly enjoyed himself too, when it was time to leave he wouldn’t get in the car 🤣, five stars 🌟 for this place.

An lovely spot with a great Host. Scott was so friendly and accommodating. Right by the river and while we had some rain the weather was great. Caught some fish, including a couple of Bream, a small Flathead which went back and a couple of crabs. Would recommend to anyone. Just watch out for the mozzies and midgets especially at night.
