Fantastic stay on Kelly’s land. Lovely sunset and very well set up. Very clean toilet facility and several fire pits available. We were the only campers and it was a lovely peaceful stay. Close to a shop if anything is needed and close to activities. Thank you so much!

A lovely camp with power, toilet and shower. The owners were absolutely lovely. Even helped my daughter and I when the wind was taking over our awning. Horses are nice to see and feed. Fantastic sunsets.

Everything you need for basic camping. Super clean toilet facilities. Lots of peace and quiet yet close enough to access all the area has to offer. Good communication re facilities. Thanks for a pleasant first Hipcamp experience!

Loved this little spot. Open space for the kids to run around. Beautiful sunsets to watch. Horses to pat. Plenty of firewood to use. Toilet was clean. We didn't use the solar shower as we showered at the beaches at the end of the day. Overall tho we would love to come back to this beautiful little spot and bring family and friends.

Quite a good location, driving distance to lots of beaches. Easy to find and clear arrival instructions. Good toilet and sink in the shed.

Awesome, quiet place, too camp and relax, Steve was a great host, thank you for taking my sons on the quad, only thing I could say, is need a few extra toilets and more privacy for the shower. But overall, a great place, highly recommend.

Superb spot with solar shower and flushing toilet - beyond what we expected. Steve and Kelly even provided kindling and firewood for us! Close to sand dunes, go karts and beautiful beaches! Really nice to know the dogs were welcome too (even with their horses) - really lovely to camp with the dogs - a pretty rare find.

Everything you could need. So close to all the beaches yet so quiet too. Owners lovely and rescued me when I couldn't put the van awning back in place. Not too far from shops, petrol etc which was a bonus

Loved our stay at Gateway to Port Stephens, easy to find and a lovely spot. The shed with power and the toilet was so convenient. Really enjoyed getting to know the horsie next door, would love to come again :)

Very disappointed. Do not stay here
First of all - the cost of $72/night comes with the expectation that the site would be well maintained and inviting, however this was not our experience. When we arrived directions to the property were unclear, leading us down the wrong road. When we finally figured out where to go we arrived in someone’s horse paddock without a blade of grass. Toilet and wash up sink were in the same shed. Not to mention, the “Powered sight” was a single electrical box in the middle of the property. Was very uninviting and made us feel very uncomfortable we ended up booking another place (without a refund) and stayed somewhere else for half the price which was much nicer. No way should this place be able to charge such a price. Have been to many Hipcamp sites for less than $20/night for much better value. Do not stay here. Would not sleep here for free.

This Hipcamp did not look like the photos (no green grass, it was dry & dirt)…the cows in the paddock next to me had nicer grass! Speaking of cows…the methane was strong!!!!
Only one toilet for everyone to use, no shower & unsure about the portable water.
Was definitely not worth the $70 odd dollars I paid for one night.

Great location for exploring the peninsula, campsite provided plenty of space and amenities to make camping that little bit easier. Sand pegs needed in some parts of the paddock.

Big paddock full of burrs and cat heads. More than double the price of any other powered site we went to. When I say powered, one power point in the middle of the paddock. Toilet in same area as kitchen sink etc. was only for one night thank god.

We enjoyed our stay for the week, they restricted the amount of camps each night so it wasn’t overcrowded, amenities are basic and what we expected, we came prepared having electricity was a surprise but you will require a fairly long power lead close to all the beaches and pet friendly.

The site is a rectangular sandpitch that - in our view - has nothing attractive (esp. compared to the other campgrounds we have been to). There is power and a toilet. But the water in the toilet was often not available.
Very positive: Hosts are very nice. When we got stuck in the sand st the site with out motorhome they immediately came with their tractor and pulled us out.

I would highly not recommend this campsite. We booked two nights and paid $146. After 5 hours drove from other camp site, we were shocking this is the site we paid for $73/night, it was completely different to the photos in hipcamps website. We want to leave since we have arrived, however we felt exhausted after 5 hours drove from the other campsite, it was not safe to drive to home, so we decided to stayed one and left next early morning. It was the worst campsite never had., it ruined our trip, we paid $200 per day for the caravan, as because the poorer environment we have end up earlier. This site shouldn’t open for public, videos provided for other camper references

This camp is definitely the gateway to Port Stephens. 25 minutes to Nelson Bay and Salamander Bay.
Our time was mostly pleasant, the facilities are clean and you have access to power for your van and the owners are nice. Finding water nearby for your caravan can be a bit of a challenge. My only problem was that because there’s no designated camping area’s people will camp right near you or take your spot after you’ve been on a day trip, despite having your gear around. I think there should be designated marked campsites, first in, first served.
The sunsets are very nice, so is the horse.

Fairly grim paddock, 30+ people sharing a single toilet with limited privacy from the shed it sits in. Good in a squeeze as somewhere to spend a night.

I love this campaign farm; we enjoyed the Christmas holidays very much, and my kids feed horses. The toilet is very clean and we organise the kitchen equipment.
