What a beautiful camping spot. Lovely site so close to the river. Kayaks and rubber tubes to borrow. The river is pristine and close by and the host Arne is so very helpful. We loved our stay and have already booked again

I set out in a Honda Jazz and was very impressed with how easy the site was to access. Most of the roads leading to the site are sealed with only the last few kilometres being dirt road.
The sites were easy to set up camp on, spacious and were well shaded by the canopy of the rainforest. We stayed on site 4 which was closest to the toilet, but one of the furthest from the river entrance near site 2.
The river was lovely, but a touch chilly in October. The water was clean and full of fish, tadpoles and turtles. Arne supplied tubes and paddles which was great for getting some sun in the arvo.
Arne was an incredible host, stopping for a chat every day and to check on our firewood supplies ($10 for a very generous bag). We ended up doing some site shuffling with some of the other people from our group and he was more than accommodating with us.
On one of the days of our trip, we went to see Battery falls. The Jazz was able to make the 15-minute drive quite easily, with a small assist needed to cross one water redirector. Arne shared a pin for us to a spot we could park and hike about 300m to the top of the waterfall. The hike was steep, but manageable and the waterfall was amazing to swim under, once you scaled the rocks to the base.
When we went looking for wildlife, we had the opportunity of seeing many species, including the Giant Barred Frog, Long-nosed Bandicoot, Black Snakes, Skinks, and Quails.
Overall I rate Frog Hollow on Bobo River a must-do for your next camp

We had a great time Bobo River campsite! The campsites are well-maintained and quiet, surrounded by forest and the river is close by. Arne is a lovely host, very helpful and attentive. We will camp there again.

We loved site 2. Amazing proximity to the cascades and very private. The closest thing to paradise you’ll get! Arne goes above and beyond to think of things that make your trip perfecto 👌🏼

Great spot to spend a few nights beautiful river and surrounded by untouched wilderness. The quick drive down to the waterfall was absolutely worth it aswell. Amazing.

Bobo River Site 2
We loved camping here! We chose site 2 which is a bit off the main track and it felt very private. Very short walk through the bush down to the creek. The fire pit and table were great additions and it was awesome to bring our dog. The water was freezing but would be wonderful in Summer. Highly recommend!!

Great site, felt so immersed in nature and had a really fantastic time! Toilet was very clean and the creek was very pristine, was very tempted to take out a kayak!

Bobo River Site 2
The river that flows through the property is absolutely stunning. Arne is an absolute legend. It’s a bargain. Theres firewood you can purchase for cheap, an axe to use, a decent pit toilet. I was totally fine to access the camp sites in my 2wd even during lots of rain. The causeway is easy to cross. The town of Ulong is cute, with decent little general store and cafe. Again though, Arne is just a total legend. I personally found site 2 to be the best one as it had a bit more of a private feel and easy access to a beautiful part of the river. Hardly any mossies (there in April), but did see just the odd leech after heavy rain so if it looks wet bring gumboots and bug repellent/deet.

An absolute stunner of a campsite. Gorgeous forest, clean running water, something from a fairy tales. Unfortunately wasn't able to stay for long but excited to return. Arne was so lovely, provided fire wood, offered to let me borrow his vehicle to visit an inaccessible spot via my car and he really cares about the forest and the community.

Arne was the best host ever!! Came and checked to see if we set up okay. He was so friendly and welcome. You can purchase firewood for $10 a bag. Was so much fun going down the rapids on the tubes that he provided. It was so beautiful sleeping with so many lovely trees around. We will definitely be coming back.

Loved the camping at Bobo river, sites are great and the river was a short walk from our sites, site 5 being the furthest away.
Arne is a fantastic host, saw him everyday, welcomes everyone to site and explains where amenities are.
Best pit dunny I've ever come across.
Will absolutely be coming back.

Bobo River Site 4
Frog hollow is a lovely intimate hipcamp nestled in the rainforest beside the Boho River. Arne is very welcoming and checks in that you have everything. He was more than happy for us to change campsites as we wanted to be closer to the river. There are kayaks and rubber tubes on the river which is fantastic. We will be definitely be going back there again.

Arne was so great and welcoming. Brought us dry firewood lent us his axe and chainsaw suggested we move closer to the river in a large site when it was vacant The camp was beautiful the river the kayaks and bush were stunning. Will return highly recommend

It's basic camping in a cleared section of rainforest. There is clean non smelling drop toilet. Need to bring own water unless you take it out of the river.

My Husband & I loved camping at Frog Hollow on Bobo River. It was very quiet & peaceful .
Loved listening to the sound of the river as we went to sleep .
Arne was very helpful , bringing wood for us for the fire & providing kayaks to use on the river .
We will definitely go back again .

The location is perfect, great for a quick weekend getaway again away after work. Arne greeted us with dry firewood for the evening which was great considering it was quite wet upon arrival.
Communication prior to arrival was great between Arne and us. He even shared the location of some falls to explore.
We enjoyed kayaking and swimming up the creek and exploring the waterfalls.
The name frog hollow does not miss a beat and to enjoy the atmosphere was relaxing.
Site 4 was spacious for our group of 4 adults with close access to the eco toilet and hammocks. With just a short walk to the river we were not too far away.
We look forward to returning with our kids in the near future for a quick get away or an easy over nighter.
