Natural Camphor Rain Forest with running creeks, lots of trees & private space. Camping areas more than 400m from the main house Currently we welcome you to book & set up camp if you are prepared for bush camping with no amenities, we are around to welcome you and help you find nice private spot away from the main house We really do have a wild paradise a genuine rainforest escape, acres & acres of beautiful bush to enjoy. 15 minutes to the beautiful Byron Bay beaches & just 5 minutes to Bangalow. Please note when coming in from Friday Hut Rd, the first dirt road before passing our gate and entering our property is a shared road with our neighbours. Our gate is all the way at the end DO NOT VEER LEFT, left takes you to the neighbours. Our number is on the post that hold up the gate. Once you are in the driveway leads around to the right and the camping area is first road to the left.

This site has a nice long driveway so you can park your car right near the site and where you are pitching the tent, or if you have a roof top it gets you close to the site. Set amongst the forest with an area to light a fire.

A very private site with a spot for a fire, suits a tent set up, although you could have a roof top tent but the spot for the car is not right in the site. Ample car space amongst the trees. Not suitable for caravan or camper trailer. Arrive & enjoy, take a walk to the creek, enjoy natures sounds, wild rainforest bush to enjoy.

This site is a double, there are 2 cleared areas to pitch tents or put up an awning on one to create a seperate area. This site suits traveler’s with 1 or 2 cars Cars cannot be driven onto the camp site that has been cleared for the tents, so if you have a roof top tent you will just park near the site. The property is over 60 acres and beautiful to walk through and discover the creeks, tree species, bird life, crayfish , platypus & sometimes koalas.

Caravan Overnight Stop

This site has been created to help out those with a caravan that really can’t find anything in the area. Our camp sites are not caravan friendly. This site is literally the first paddock off the main road so you can pull off the main road and rest overnight. The paddock has lots of trees and is lovely but it’s not a camp site. Convenient if you need a rest overnight on your travels.

Awesome spot off the beaten track, with gorgeous trees and plenty of space. Real rustic style camping and so close to Byron Bay. We loved this on our route up the East Coast.

The site was incredible and felt super secluded while still being close to the beach. Mary was great and even brought us fresh eggs on our first morning.

What a stunning property. Although it was raining we loved sitting in the middle of the forest next to a creek, with enough firewood supplied by Mary to keep the fire burning. The hosts were super friendly and accommodating. They informed us of local markets and even brought us a takeaway from one of their catering jobs. We thoroughly enjoyed the weekend and will definitely be back. The property is so central to lovely towns in the area.

Great spot for tents and small vehicles. Very picturesque hilly forest. Not really suitable for vans/caravans or heavy 4wds. Especially if there’s any moisture in the weather (lots of sticky red mud). And not fun if you are trying to navigate the tight trails in a van or large vehicle. Great if you have a tent in your car, and want to experience the Forest with zero facilities. Amazing rainforest retreat. Host were very friendly. And close to Bangalow township. We had to leave a night early due to the risk of being bogged with the ground becoming too wet to drive on as we were in a lwb van. Found pricing was a bit on high side for a camp with no facilities.

Beautiful camping site amongst the trees and nature. We were greeted with fresh eggs and firewood on arrival. Would highly recommend.

What a beautiful location! The hosts were amazing and went above and beyond for us while we were there, they truly care about their campers having the best time possible on their land. Plus having the cutest little co host in the world coming down to visit (a very friendly puppy!) we felt well looked after. Will be coming back every chance we get on our travels to and from QLD!
