If you’re after privacy, you’ll find smaller secluded clearings dotted throughout the property—quiet, peaceful spots surrounded by nature. Deeimba Camp Grounds
It’s a nice site, surrounded by bush. The location is great, an hour to Sydney CBD and an hour to the Blue Mountains, with Richmond only about 10-15 minutes away. I was a little uncomfortable as I was there on my own in the beginning and didn’t know where the night time noises came from and if I was safe. It was better after I spoke with the owner who came to clean the toilets, who said it is private even though hikers may use it on occasion to and from the National park. And that the gate was mostly closed. The track to access the site is pretty gnarly, especially towing an on road caravan. Until the track is improved I would not recommend on road caravans to go there, if I had known the access track was that bad I wouldn’t have booked this spot. I did a bit of damage to the caravan on the way out and the side wall of my car tyre was also damaged. You really need a fair bit of clearance to get there, so smaller 2wd cars also wouldn’t be suitable. The ants were pretty horrific, my poor dog was unable to lie down in the grass as she was bitten constantly. I found the gate unlocked several times which made me feel unsure whether it was safe to leave my caravan for the day to go exploring. I think with a little bit of effort on the access, and maybe a personal greeting by the owners or even a sign explaining privacy, hikers, National park track etc, and a slightly wider gate for access, which is really secured at all times, it would be a much better place to stay.

We were big group (9 adults and 5 kids) to book the camp site. But it was way overbooked and not enough space for us. Other camp group space was too close and not really comfortable. The owner need to manage the overbooking issue in the future.

If your want a patch of earth that is away from people but your don't need amenities this is perfect. It's right off the road up to katoomba so that's handy. The area that connects slightly downhill from the main area with the tables/loos etc is more private/less popular so better if you have your own loo or are content for a stroll. The gates are a bit tight if you are towing, but not impossible.
