Located in the beautiful Capertee Valley, approximately 3 hours north west of Sydney, we would love to welcome you to Dalli's Campground. Flat, shady camping areas, plenty of wildlife, particularly birds, suitable for bush walkers and nature lovers. Get some friends together, bring your dog (we are pet friendly), throw your tents and bedding in the car and come visit! Accessible for all types of vehicles, including caravans, motor homes, camper vans. Toilet (flushing) and hot shower facilities available. Full use of GAS BBQ & Gas Oven and Pizza oven(Must advise manager if you intend to use). Gas supplied. Camp kitchen area has servery with sink and hot water. Cutlery, crockery and saucepans provided. WIFI - available on request Campfires permitted in designated areas (subject to fire bans) and must be in supplied firepits or bring your own. Firewood can be brought onto site or purchased from the campground . Access to the orchard welcome (seasonal). Our campground is a great base to explore the Capertee Valley, including Garden of Stones, Turon and Capertee National Parks. Discover the famous Captertee Valley Bird Watching Trail. Only an hour away from historic Rylstone, Mudgee or Dunns' Swamp, and 20 mins to the old shale mines at Glen Davis.

Bush Cabin By the Creek

Located right on the beautiful Coco Creek, is a unique, basic bush hut, lovingly built in the early 1970's, mainly from recycled materials. It is a special place to stay, with limited access to generated power, limited WIFI and phone reception. Sit on the balcony or soak in the outdoor bath tub, listening to the many bird species and expect visits from wombats, Goanna's and red neck wallabies. Only those accustomed to the cold, should stay in the winter months, rugged up, enjoying the internal fireplace. The hut has two rooms, one with a king size bed, the other is in the living area incorporating a queen bed, comfy sofa and coffee table. There is an outdoor communal kitchen and amenities block (hot shower & flushing loo). BYO ALL bedlinen; including pillows, sheets, blankets, towels. The communal kitchen is well stocked with cooking utensils, pans, plates, cutlery, plenty to create amazing dishes in the outdoor pizza oven (highly recommend a roast, a slow cooked casserole or pizza! (please inform host you intend to use as 2hrs heating time is required for the woodfire pizza oven). There is also a BBQ / Gas Stove & Oven and facilities to make tea & coffee. The accommodation is basic, a little rough around the edges but who needs 5 stars when you can experience 5 million stars.  Come to relax and enjoy something different.  There are also camping spots around the hut for caravans , tents etc for large groups who wish to be together (advise at time of booking) a small amount of firewood is supplied.  PLEASE NOTE: There is No Toilet / Shower facilities within the Bush Cabin, as this is a separate building no more than 50m away (as per Council regulations). IMPORTANT - Price is per night (whether 1 or 4 persons). YOU MUST BRING ALL YOUR OWN LINEN; SHEETS, BLANKETS, PILLOWS & TOWELS. Access to the bush cabin is via the campground and is accessed by 4WD, & 2WD.  NO SELF CHECK IN. All Guests must meet the host next to the new Amenities block in the campground at an agreed time. Please check in between 2PM - 6PM There is limited Wi-Fi and Mobile Reception at the cabin. Please note: Minimum 3 night stay for Easter   STRA:  PID-STRA 32889

Nice host. Good facilities. Problems get fixed promptly. I just thought it’s a little over-crowded and wifi didn’t work continuously. Overall I would recommend!

It was terrible only 4 toilets for large number of people. Camping surface was also uneven, i did camping in past couple of times but this time its not good.

Great place. Steve was very accommodating, even grabbing some milk for us on one of his trips to town. We stayed 5 nights, part of which was a caravan owners event. Steve organised huge camp fires on 2 nights. Amenities are clean. A great place to stay.

Great site. Clean flush toilets, hot showers. Was provided ample space, though could be bigger. Allocated camp sites were a bit close together but that would be expected since we went on a long weekend. Steve was stern but very accommodating. Helped me pumped my mattress as my inverter broke. Overall, good experience and would highly recommend. p.s. no signal but wifi gets turned on every now and then.

VERY RUDE owner and no sense of customer service! Felt micromanaged all the time… right from checking in (very poor instructions) till the time of checkout. Saw many others treated the same way, so not surprised! Felt like the owner/s running some wild-wild west kind of crazy show. Location wise okay but the three camp sites we were given were absolutely pathetic - very uneven and dirty. Absolutely NOT RECOMMENDED AT ANY COST!

We booked well in advance for seven families, but our experience at Dalli’s Campground was very disappointing. The site we were given was right next to the main road, with cars constantly passing by and creating dust all over our campsite. The ground was uneven, full of weeds and rocks, which made it very uncomfortable for sleeping. It also appeared that the owner, Steve, was giving the better spots to selected groups, which didn’t feel fair. If the campground was already full, new bookings should not have been accepted — it was clearly overcrowded. Overall, the location and management were not up to expectations. We won’t be returning and don’t recommend this campground to others.

Not a bad spot. Steve went out of his way to understand what we wanted and find the best spots for us. We arrived on a busy public holiday weekend so there were many more people than we expected. We made it work though. I wish we had brought pizza ingredients. The set up was amazing.

We recently stayed here over the public holiday weekend and have some mixed feelings about our trip. First, the positives: The facilities were excellent. The bathrooms and amenities were modern and kept very clean, which is a huge plus for any campground. However, the experience was significantly marred by the extreme overcrowding. While I understand the desire to maximize bookings and make the most of a busy public holiday, the number of campers packed into the sites made for a very uncomfortable stay. Our neighbors were uncomfortably close, making any sense of privacy impossible. This overcrowding directly led to extremely long wait times for the excellent bathrooms, which was frustrating and really detracted from the holiday experience. My recommendation is to AVOID booking this campground on a long weekend or public holiday. The facility itself is great, but they clearly put profit over the quality of the camping experience during peak times. Finally, just a note for those seeking a nature escape: Don't come here for the views. The sites offer very little in the way of natural scenery. Overall: Great facilities, poor site management on peak weekends.

2/10 — Terrible Experience at DALLI

Our stay at DALLI’S Campground was honestly one of the worst camping experiences we’ve ever had. The spot that the owner, Steve, allocated to us was on such a steep incline on the side of a rocky mountain that we constantly felt like we were going to roll downhill. The grass was full of weeds, hard, and spiky — walking barefoot even for a few seconds left our feet bleeding. The ground itself was uneven and covered with rocks, making it impossible to get any proper sleep at night. To make things worse, our tent site was right next to the driving track, so every time a car passed by, mud and dust would fly all over our tent and food area. The entry road was extremely steep and dangerous, and the exit was even worse — the road was so rough and broken that our car nearly slipped off the edge of the cliff multiple times. The owner kept constantly patrolling and watching the area, which gave off uncomfortable, “police surveillance” vibes rather than a relaxed camping atmosphere. The only positive thing I can mention is that the toilets were clean and had warm water available all the time. Overall, I’m struggling to even give this place 2 stars. Definitely would not recommend this campground to anyone looking for a safe or enjoyable outdoor experience.

Even though a busy long weekend, we thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights at Dalli’s Campground. Steve is a well organised host, ensuring all amenities were attended to regularly and providing help when needed with firewood, pizza oven, bbq etc. Campground is nestled in a clearing close to a stream with plenty of trails to explore. Dalli’s Campground is on the to do again list 🏕️

We had a great time over the long weekend! Showers and toilets were great, really nice hot showers after exploring all day was a treat. The woodfire pizza oven was also a huge success, really recommend!!

Really enjoyed this stay, Steve was super friendly and easy going. Accessible and available 24/7 which helped enjoy our stay as he was able to assist later in the evening. Toilets & showers were immaculate, so peaceful at night as well. Would recommend for anyone

We had a pearla of a long weekend at Dalli’s Campground. Steve is a bloody legend, so helpful and a ball of fun. Shower and toilet facilities were 5 stars. Option to camp in the mosh pit and other quieter locations. We brought our own fire pit but there are plenty of half barrels supplied for camp fires. Water taps scattered throughout the camp sites were super convenient. We spent our time up at the lookout where there is a table and chairs, playing cricket, laying on the bean bags next to the creek, and soaking up the beautiful country on the property. No complaints from us, we had a 10/10 time.

Great site, very popular and busy. We were on an unpowered site which Steve (who is welcoming and hilarious) let us choose from a couple of options. There was use of pizza oven and gas bbq. Lovely stream for the dogs (the only area where they’re allowed off leash). Steve runs a tight ship and is good at enforcing his policies, if you’re too noisy or let the dog off leash, you’ll probably be turfed out? The only thing is they could probably do with more toilets / showers due to popularity of site to reduce wait times.

Overall the facilities were good with porta loo’s near our designated campsite and bins available which were really convenient. We booked last minute for a one night stay over the long weekend, so in this instance the sites were really packed in close together, which was more reminiscent of staying at a caravan park type campsite. I’m unsure if it’s normally like this, but know that on a long weekend it may not be the most peaceful or secluded stay. The owner Steve was a charismatic and attentive, so expect to see him checking in and enforcing the rules of the property.

I thank the owner Steve for his friendliness and help during my stay. It was a great experience, one not to be forgotten. It was a peaceful night by the river and a lovely morning with the fairy wrens everywhere and groups of kangaroos.
