Beautiful location. Close to town but far enough out that you feel a little remote. Lots of beautiful spots to camp with views of the mountains and vineyards and the cellar door had some great wines. Would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

Spectacular

The camp was beautiful and conveniently located to a hot shower and toilet. However it was also very exposed and the wind was howling for the 3 days we were there. It'd be great if the hosts planted some shrubs (like bottlebrush) for a bit of shelter and wind protection, without the danger of dropping branches like the large trees do.

We had a wonderful time camping at Cargo Rd Winery. They were extremely accommodating, the view from our campsite was amazing and our kids loved playing with their dog.

Nice outlook over the vineyard. Little bit tricky to find a flat spot for all of our group with three caravans but overall they were very helpful and we enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic spot to camp & enjoy wine! We camped 2 nights at the wedding site, Katie was super helpful. The site was easily big enough for the 4 of us, facilities were great too and not too far away. It was super cold as expected however the fire pit really helped warm us up.

Lovely camping spot… even in winter

Winter camping in Orange isn’t for the faint-hearted, but merino thermals, Nordic-level socks, and a bunch of Pendleton wool blankets with an extra warm feather quilt, and we were toasty in our rooftop tent! The views from Wedding are beautiful and the clear night sky was spectacular! Campfire kept us cozy on the coldest nights as we sat and chatted while ice crystals formed on everything around us. The showers here were plenty warm, even keeping them short We really enjoyed the space, and we’ll definitely be back when we’re coming through Orange again.

Sunsets across the vines

This was the most peaceful campsite our our 2 week trip around central NSW. We had the Shed site and were able to use power for our camper trailer. Evening brought beautiful sunsets across the vines, and the winery is less than 15 minutes from Orange. Mina and Gerty the dogs were an added bonus!

Unique experience and the perfect way to feel closer to the winemaking process being settled in amongst the vineyards. Highly recommend doing the wine tour with James who takes great pride in his vineyard and winemaking. Had everything we needed and perfectly located

Great Camping Site

I highly recommend James for his hospitality and Cargo Road Wines for a camping experience that is memorable. Spanning over 16 hectares there are so many camping sites to choose from and it's a pleasant view waking up to the sunrise and Vineyards as well to the sound of sheeps. We also opted for the wine tour where James gave us some background story of himself and The Vineyard itself and it definitely has made me appreciate wine more than before. Will definitely camp here once again in the near future. Our Little Jack Russell Puppy also enjoyed running around the Vineyards along with the sheeps and Kelpie

We stayed at Cabernet 1 site at Cargo Road Lane. We absolutely loved our stay and would love to camp there again. Our site had beautiful views and was surrounded by grape vines, with enough space to be away from other campers and for the kids to play. James was very friendly and helpful and the wine from Cargo Road was great too! Looking forward to staying here again and would recommend to anyone wanting a farm stay experience.

Lovely big pitches, private and amongst the vines. clear communication and a friendly welcome. Catie couldn't have been clearer with directions to the pitch. The facilities were great. Very generous wine tasting on site so worth doing that too.

If you're looking for a peaceful camping spot where you feel a million miles from the stresses of life then this is it Being dog friendly was a huge bonus and our dogs had the best weekend camping with us The sunset is stunning The campsites are spread out so you really feel like you have the space all to yourself. The facilities are simple and provide what you need. And the location is close enough to town that anything you might need is right on the doorstep. It was also a great location for a bit of star gazing at night too once the sun goes down And being able to pop up to the cellar door for a wine tasting was a great added bonus

Beautiful location - the Cabernet site has great views and is close to shower and toilets. We were a bit unsure and uncomfortable at first as the communication on arrival was limited. We didn’t get to meet anyone even though there were people on the property at times which made us feel a little awkward.

Stayed two days at site Little Italy. Initially we booked Cabernet but we would be in close proximity of two caravans and that’s not why we chose a Hipcamp with limited sites. Luckily we could change sites. A bit further from amenities but that’s ok. Beautiful views and you can walk around the vineyards in 20-30 mins. Nice hipcamp for short stay. Only downside was that it took us half an hour to find someone to point us where to go although messaging our ETA and the previous camper had left their rubbish.

Stayed at Little Italy site and loved it! Brilliant spot that felt like the location it was, down a quiet track at the back of a vineyard. While the grass was a little on the longer side, we dealt with that in our hard-floor camper plus some matting. If you’re looking for a site that feels like you are out on the farm, this is a great choice. The wine tasting was brilliant, so arrive early enough to fit that in on the first night if you want the full experience.
