Canoelands Orchard Camping and Fruit Picking, is located just 1 hour from Sydney's CBD. The property is 81 acres in total with a small shop and cafe onsite. We offer pick your own fruit so are open to the public daily (closed on occasion). Trading hours can be viewed at www.bookingscanoeladns.com. We are surrounded by the stunning valley views of Marra Marra National Park. Guests can enjoy hiking, wandering the orchard picking fresh produce, taking a tractor ride, feeding the animals and relaxing. Please note we are a working farm so sometimes tractors and vehicles can be heard working from 7am. There will be foot traffic and possibly tractor rides operating near some of the sites although we will do our best to respect your privacy while you are here. We also have a quarry surrounding most of the property, so they sometimes operate machinery early. This is not generally too disruptive though. We are just 15 minutes' drive from the beautiful historical Wiseman's Ferry and the Hawkesbury River. There are multiple hiking tracks located close by. We have several sites to offer around the property. We have a beautiful huge dam just 350m down the gully. It’s super peaceful although a steep walk down the driveway to access, it's definitely worth it, so pack your walking shoes and some swimmers.

Site 5 - Camp by the dam

Site 5 is situated in the middle of the adjoining properties overlooking the Lilly pad filled Dam. Not recommended for small children due to water hazard. Frogs croak loudly at night in this location. There is a toilet block as well as a single toilet, shower and washing machine located near our shop and cafe area. This is a 1 minute drive or a 2 minute walk from the location of the site. A camp toilet is recommended for night. This location will comfortably accommodate 1 tent or a small camp trailer parked slightly further away from the dam. Slightly difficult vehicle access and limited space to turn around but a stunning little spot. Fires are welcome as long as there is not a fire ban. A fire drum will be provided. We have a boutique shop and café on site so morning coffee, breakfast and lunch can be purchased. Trading from 9am. (Please see www.bookingscanoelands.com to review trading hours as they sometimes vary). We also have honey, jams, chutneys and drinks available. If you would like to do some picking (when in season) you are welcome to. You may pick what’s harvesting to consume while you are onsite within reason. There is a toilet block as well as a single toilet, shower and washing machine located near our shop and cafe area. This is a 1 minute drive or a 3 minute walk from the location of the site. A camp toilet is recommended for night. This location will comfortably accommodate 2 tents or 1 camp trailer. Fires are welcome as long as there is not a fire ban. A fire drum will be provided. Site 4 is situated at our adjoining property, # 31 Canoelands Road. Located in a grassy area atop an unfenced steep decline surrounded by orchard on one side, looking over the valley and stunning views across the Marra Marra National park. There is a toilet block as well as a single toilet, shower and washing machine located near our shop and cafe area. This is a 2 minute drive or a 5 minute walk from the location of the site. A camp toilet is recommended for night. This location will comfortably accommodate 2 caravans or 3 tents. This site is not recommended for small children. This site is located near houses. On occasions we have visitors till late. Please also be aware that the Neighbour has a cows and roosters and a dog that can be a little noisy. Fires are welcome as long as there is not a fire ban. A fire drum will be provided. Wood can be ordered through us or you can BYO. We have a boutique shop and cafe on site (next door) so morning coffee, breakfast and lunch can be purchased. Trading from 9am. (closed Tuesdays and at times in non harvest season) We also have honey, jams, chutneys and drinks available. If you would like to do some picking (when in season) you are welcome to. You may pick what’s harvesting to consume while you are onsite within reason. Site 14 is situated in the middle of our property. There are 10 sites in this location. Located in a grassy area paddock surrounded by orchard. This site is 9m wide and 27.5m long and will accommodate 3 tents, 2 camp trailers or 1 caravan. There is a toilet block as well as a single toilet shower and washing machine located near our shop and cafe area. This is a 2 minute drive or a 5 minute walk from the location of the site. A camp toilet is recommended for night. Fires are welcome as long as there is not a fire ban. A fire drum will be provided. We have a boutique shop and cafe on site so morning coffee, breakfast and lunch can be purchased during trading from 9am. Beautiful and clean spot, surrounded by nectarine trees. Jamie was extremely friendly and helpful. Such a treat to grab a coffee when you are camping! 5 min walk up to cafe, animals, amenities.

Site 8 Orchard Campground
For a quick weekend getaway with kids, this camp location is highly recommended. There was just enough to entertain my two kids with the pigs, goats and guinea pigs. We also trek downhill on the steep slope to the dam. The highlight of this campsite was picking and purchasing the in season nectarines and peaches of course! I highly recommend Canoeland Orchard camping and would definitely go there again.

Stayed on site 2 whixh was great. Very spacious and pretty private site with only 1 other pitch nearby. Great to look around the orchard and be able to have a campfire. Definitely would recommend

Camp site was nice with a beautiful view and was secluded once the fruit picking stopped which was just after check in time. The site was not too far from the toilets which was handy. The shop sold some of the best marmalade and butter we've ever tasted. It was a great experience for getting my wife into camping for the first time.

Wonderful private set up. Campers all have their own spaces across the farm, so we enjoyed the privacy. Hosts and all staff were really helpful. Good facilities- and wonderful fruit. Also, lovely to see the farm animals too. They even have a café and coffee 😀

Amazing secluded campsite at night. Busy during the day with visitors fruit picking the orchard next to site. Beautiful Farm get away nice and close to Syd. Tractor ride & feeding animals was fun. Great Tarzan swing at dam.

We enjoyed our stay in the orchid, there was a nice cafe, animals to feed and a tractor ride. The orchid closes at 4ish so after that we had the place to ourselves.

Had a lovely weekend camping at the Orchard. Sites are large and can have dogs and fires. Toilets and shower a bit of a walk. Also picked peaches and nectarines for later. The icecream was delish.

The camping was lovely and spacious! It was pretty being amongst the fruit trees and nice to be provided the fire pits! Toilets were a fair walk and 1 shower for all campers. Delicious ice cream and honey at the stall!! My son absolutely loved the tractor ride and enjoyed the animal feeding too

Beautiful stay with my son at site 8. There were other friendly families and all the kids played together. The property is clean and very well maintained. The people who run it are lovely. Don’t miss the animal feeding or the hay ride. Both are thrilling and we loved the hamsters! The cafe is great! Bring antihistamine if you get pollen allergies. It was fun to pick the fruit right off the tree.

Had an amazing time at Canoelands Orchard. Private camping, fruit picking and a coffee shop made it a great experience for a couple of nights. Jaime was the perfect host and their dogs were a bonus. Would recommend a stay here.

We loved camping here. It was surrounded by orchards. Cafe at the orchard was very handy as well. 15 minutes to Glenorie village meant we can quickly go out for a nice meal and come back to nature. All amenities were very clean. Would recommend families with kids as well to go here

Had an amazing stay at this campsite over the weekend! Jaime was such an attentive and friendly host, and her Dobermans were gentle, friendly and got along so well with my little toy poodle. The toilets were clean, the amenities were great, and the whole campsite had such a lovely, relaxing vibe. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway! 🌿🐾

Beautiful camp, with clear signage which made it very easy to find our site. There was a cute cafe and little store, with reasomable amenities for the campers use. The entire orchard was stunning with gorgeous flowers and succulents everywhere. The animals were adorable and well maintained. We didn't interact with the hosts at all but had a splendid time and will definitely be back soon!!

We had the most incredible camping experience at Canoelands Orchard on Site 6 with our two kids and some friends. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed and completely at ease. Nathan was out mowing the lawns on his ride-on mower, with his beautiful dogs trailing behind him — a lovely sight that instantly set the tone for our stay. He greeted us and the kids with a big, genuine smile that made us feel right at home. Everything was ready when we got there — our firewood was prepared just as we ordered, and Jaimie popped by not long after with fresh eggs and a friendly hello. The personal touches and hospitality were outstanding throughout our stay. The kids had an absolute blast — the highlight for them was definitely the tractor ride with Nathan around the farm! They also loved grabbing a “naughty” ice cream, nuggets, and chips from the on-site café — such a treat! Feeding the animals was a fun, hands-on experience, and the team were so great with the kids, answering all their curious questions with patience and kindness. We used the BBQ area a few times for breakfast and dinner — it’s a great setup, clean and convenient. The evenings around the campfire were magical — we made some beautiful grazing platters and enjoyed the warm, relaxed atmosphere under the stars. The farm’s honey is absolutely delicious, and all the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. You can tell this place is run with a lot of love and care. It was such a special experience.

Site 5 - Camp by the dam
We enjoyed our time camping by the dam at site 5. The trees provided much needed shade as we set up (and down), as it was warm when we went. The owners were lovely, they were always happy to answer questions and offered some suggestions of places we could explore close by. The dog duo were very very friendly and would often visit our site during our stay. They both like to join in if you are playing ball games. However, they will also excitedly and enthusiastically run away with the ball throughout the orchard, if given the chance. So pack a few balls! The dam next to our site was beautiful! The water lilies, reeds, ducks, waterfowl were a delight! The frogs were on another level and the novelty of their calls wore off quickly when it became clear that they were there to party most of the night! The cafe is charming with an array of treats including quite a few gluten free options. As a family of coeliacs, this was a welcome surprise. The coffee, whilst delicious, is on the pricier side. The farm is set on a large, hilly property, with breathtaking views across the hills and valleys near the Hawkesbury river. There was a trail near our site that lead down to two beautiful dams that flow into Layburys creek. Be warned that when the trail says steep path, it does have a very sharp gradient. My phone recorded it as 22 flights of stairs climbed. However, the dams were picturesque surrounded by lush vegetation and a small sandy “beach.” We will definitely come again!

We are not dog people. Having the farm dogs roaming through our camp site, taking food off plates, licking our cutlery, then ransacking the garbage bags at 1am was not what we expected. Cafe was expensive (yes, convenience) and the one shower was not clean.

We had such a good time camping at Canoelands Orchard! Site 1 is a nice big clear spot, highly recommended for a group of 6+. There is lots of open space for kids to play. We were a few weeks too early for the fruits but hoping to come back during harvest season so we can enjoy fresh produce!! One thing - if you are camping with little potty-trained kids, a portable toilet is definitely recommended. We had to drive down to the toilets quite a bit to help relief little humans. Highly recommend this spot!
