Welcome to Camp Hideaway @ Jindabyne Nestled on a large private property with stunning lake and mountain views, Located in the town of Jindabyne. There are residential properties in town around the property, it is not a rural block. However it is a perfect location for camping and also walking to shops, lake and restaurants. Camp Hideaway offers the perfect blend of nature, adventure, and tranquillity — just a 10-minute walk from the heart of Jindabyne and a 2-minute stroll to the lakeside. 4 Campsites set across spacious, landscaped grounds, sites are designed for comfort and some privacy — ideal for tents, campervans, or caravans. Plenty space to park boats and trailers. Please note: the property sits on an elevated block. While the campsites themselves are levelled and accessible, the surrounding terrain adds a sense of adventure and provides elevated views and natural seclusion. Confident drivers and suitable vehicles are recommended. Pet friendly although it is not fenced, to be considerate to other campers please use leads for dogs.

With gas BBQ and fire pit located on site you just need to turn up and you are ready to relax. Drive up long concrete driveway to level gravel parking area, Large grey container is the shower, toilet, laundry block. You will see house on right drive past house and site 1 is located straight ahead. turn left down small slope towards blue shipping container. continue down gravel road to level site 4 at the bottom. See Mud Map Photo, 4WD recommended.

We had a brilliant time here. The campsite offers a wonderful atmosphere and everything you need for a comfortable stay. It’s quiet, scenic, and very well-kept. The host was also very friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in this part of the country!

The location was greta and had views over Lake Jindabyne. We used it as our base and it's location to town was excellent. Be aware that the sites are excellent for camping and roof top tent but siteas 3 and 4 are tricky to parck a trailer or van. Only 1 shower so get in early. Overall, good experience and would return again.

Showers and bathrooms were clean and the location is close to the lake and the shops. Site 4 is only suited for 4-Wheel Drive vehicles or tents, it took five tries and four people to get out of the site as the wheels of our van repeatedly spun out on the steep incline. And, if you are looking for nature or privacy, this location is not suitable as there are blocks of apartments overlooking the camp site.

Shaun’s premises was perfectly situated with easy access to both Jindabyne town itself, the lake, and mountains. It was myself, my old man with my 2 kids our car and a boat which the layout was perfect for. The children loved it! We will definitely be back.

Although the site has basic amenities and the toilet facilities are clean and well maintained, the overall experience did not meet our expectations. The site is located in the middle of a residential settlement, and the description provided does not match the actual location when you arrive. The campsites are very close to each other, making the area feel congested and lacking privacy. Because it is surrounded by settlements, it does not feel like camping in nature. I strongly recommend that anyone booking this site check the location on Google Maps beforehand to ensure it aligns with what they are expecting. Additionally, the site is extremely windy, and making a fire was not possible. Upon arrival, there was no host present and no clear instructions provided. I also attempted to contact the host through Hipcamp one day prior to check-in but did not receive any response. Overall, the site and camping experience did not match the photos or description shown on Hipcamp.
