Escape to the tranquil beauty of Cameron's Falls Farm, a 100 acre hobby farm just 5 minutes from Wauchope and 25 minutes from Port Macquarie's beaches. Immerse yourself in nature as you camp beside our friendly cows, swim, fish or kayak in the Hastings river, hike our trails, or forage in our wild orchards. All of our sites are secluded as our property is large, we invite you to our peaceful piece of countryside for a self contained camping trip with all the convenience of town just minutes away. Cameron's Falls is a historic site, the 'falls', really just gentle rapids, are the original river crossing site for horse drawn vehicles to travel from Port Macquarie/Wauchope inland to Beechwood and beyond. Today we are a hobby farm with cows, horses - we invite you to say hello, but please don't feed any of the animals. If we are here to greet you on arrival you can fill up with potable rain water at our cottage. The Hastings is still tidal at our place so the access and flow varies throughout the day - we generally take our littlest kids down at low tide. Swim, fish or explore our hiking trails though the old growth riparian vegetation along winding creeks. If you are into birds you will see plenty here - in the last 12 months we have counted nearly 100 different species on our property!

Riverside has 3 nice spots for tents under the canopy of lovely old Waterhousea trees (River Lillypilly) along the Hastings River. The ground is soft and sandy for comfortable tent life! You will need a 4WD to access these sites as you must cross a small creek/gully and although there is a bridge, the approach can be slippery in the wet.

Camp in a private spot right above the river in a grassy field with stunning views of the surrounding farms and Bago Bluff. The lovely old trees along the creek bank provide plenty of shade and contain charming walking paths created by the cows. Access requires a drive through a paddock so SUVs or 4WD are recommended. The best access for swimming is back along the road and down through Riverside campsite.

Creek Corner

Creek Corner is a spacious site with a wide open field nestled in a bend in the creek. Plenty of shade under the trees and access to lovely walking paths along the creek (created by the cows!). Access to the river to swim is past Riverside campsite - walk along the road that goes down the gully and up over the hill, you will see 2 upright posts marking the entry to the river for swimming access. Camp sites are mostly flat, plenty of space for campers/trailers etc.

This site is named for the apple and plum trees growing in the little creek's banks It is a large site with mostly flat open ground. From here you can access the river for swimming via a short walk over the hill behind you, or enjoy the lovely walking tracks (made by the cows!) under the trees along the creeks and rivers.

What a beautiful spot to relax on a full time trip of Oz. The morning visitors, cows and horses, were an absolute delight. Great spot for dogs too. Would definitely recommend. Thank you for sharing a slice of your property with us.

Lovely place, very peaceful. Upon arrival I was greeted by Astro (a very adorable dog), who followed me to camp, hung around and kept me company whenever I'd arrive back onto site. Would definitely recommend staying here, it was very convenient when it came to visiting Wauchope and Port Macquarie.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The site is very private, spacious, and well maintained, with clean and tidy camp areas that are easy to set up in. It was also easy to find and conveniently located close to Wauchope, which made access simple while still feeling peaceful and secluded. We stayed with an 11-foot caravan and had no issues with space or access. The grounds are clearly cared for and overall the property is set up well for campers wanting a quiet and comfortable stay. One small improvement would be signage for the different camp areas, as there are multiple sites available and clearer area names would make navigation a bit easier on arrival. River access was more limited than advertised, likely due to flooding in 2025, so this is something future campers should be aware of. That said, it didn’t take away from the overall experience. A great spot and one we’d happily stay at again.

Fruit Tree Gully
We spent 7 nights staying on the Fruit Tree Gully site in our motorhome. We found the site great for us. It is towards the end of the property and is very private. It is reasonably level (level enough for our levelers to work). Each morning there were kangaroos about which was nice to wake up to. We only went down to the river once as there were campers down there and it felt intrusive going through their camp to get to the river. This wasn't a problem for us as we didn't camp there to use the river but it is worth noting for others. Overall, the spot was great for us and we had a nice relaxing week at the camp and definitely recommend it.

My son (8) and I LOVED staying here! We stayed on the epic tent site by the river. We stayed to break up a long journey and land was pretty conveniently located not too far at all off the hwy. We loved the fresh water swimming and kayaking and just adored all the beautiful friendly animals - the dogs, cows and horses. Heaps of land between sites which made it feel nice and private but also really safe - we loved our time and my son is already wanting to go back - would highly recommend!

Amazing spot for a quick overnight stay. Wished we had stayed longer, it would be lovely to stay for a few days and enjoy the peace and farm life. We took our dog who was leashed and comfy. Fire pits available and sites were well maintained. Great stay & easy to get to.

A really beautiful part of the world. It’s quiet, next to a deep creek that runs adjacent to the river. The kids had a great time exploring the area, meeting the dogs Astro and Buddy, as well as the horses.

Lovely peaceful spot, removed from town traffic and full of native birdlife. Large site with complete privacy. Firepit provided. Overlooks the river, but access to the river is limited to your ability to scramble down a steep, bushy river bank. Our Rhodesian Ridgeback loved the freedom of wandering around the site and was curious, but intimidated by the beautiful cattle that grazed our way from time to time.

Our stay at Cameron Farm was absolutely lovely, filled with simple joys of rural life. We were welcomed by the gentle moo of cows grazing in the fields. Greeted by playful dogs and was a unique experience to see kangaroos hopping through the landscape. It was a pleasant and memorable time.

I spent two peaceful nights at the Bago View site and loved every minute. The campsite offers stunning views and a quiet, sheltered spot perfect for relaxing. Easy access to the river made fishing a breeze. A great escape into nature highly recommended. The visiting pup was fun as were the cows :)

We loved our 2 night stay at Bago View. The location of the property was close to town but felt like miles away - Was very peaceful. The sites were huge and not visible to others camping. The grass was perfect to camp on. The fire pits supplied was a great touch. Views were beautiful from this spot. Astro was an added bonus most of our trip, even joining in on a cool off in the river or a fishing companion with our son. We would definitely be back to camp again!

Peaceful, quiet campsites, all very private and set well part, amongst attractive scenery. Sites are completely secluded yet the campground is within just a few minutes drive of the delightful town of Wauchope, and a great spot to spend a night or two before setting off west across the Oxley Highway.

Lovely family, very quiet and private space with sites spread well apart, river is beautiful especially early morning and late afternoon, great fishing, kangaroo's grazing dawn and dusk, lots of bird life, beautiful sunsets, would stay again.

We stayed at the Creek Corner site and loved the privacy and space! It is a large, mostly flat grassed area surrounded by trees on 3 sides, which provides shelter and seclusion. Short walk down to the river, which we swam in every day, with its forever changing tides and mini rapids for the kids and dogs to play in. Great hosts who were friendly and helpful, but left you alone. Highly recommended!
