Rustic, Rural, Relaxing, Romantic...our camp site is for you. Located on the edge of town, and on the Boorowa River, our land offers peace and quiet with plenty of space. Overlooking rural paddocks, and the river, you can enjoy the tranquility that a farming landscape has to offer. Perfect family holiday location. Town center is a 5 min drive or a short walk/ride, so access to town facilities and amenities is very convenient. Please refer to images for the latter. Firewood - please bring your own, we do not have firewood or fallen branches from trees. "Wombles Common" has a permanent fire pit area, all other sites require transportable fire pits (provided or bring your own). Please do not leave burn scars on the ground and please take your ashes with you or dump them in the "Wombles Common" fire pit area. River - the river is excellent for fun canoeing adventures. Entering the river is at your own risk. Fishing - great fishing in the river. We love the Red Fin! Pets - pets are welcome but need to be controlled. The safety and comfort of the resident sheep, our neighbours and other campers are a priority. Please don't not allow your pets to disturb (including barking, wandering or chasing sheep) the peace of those around them. Please ensure you book the site you prefer by referring to the image of the sites in this listing. Check image for entrance locations for each site. You will need to be a self-contained camper with own camping toilet/shower, and supplies. We have one power outlet available (only available for "Wombles Common" sites). Camp kitchen - no longer available. We LOVE to see your photos, please feel free to share your camping adventure by uploading your happy snaps. Known as the Hilltop region, the township of Boorowa, and surrounds are full of rolling hills, farmlands and bush. If you visit in spring, you'll be able to see fields full of bright yellow canola flowers as far as the eye can see. Bring your camera! Townships close by: Yass, Young, Harden, Binalong, Rye Park, Cowra, Wyangla Dam, Burrinjuck Dam, Wee Jasper (1.5hrs from Canberra, 3.5hrs from Sydney). Campers Riverside Retreat
Another great stay at Boorowa Wombles Common. The area was clean mown and right on the river. Love the addition of a firepit. The adjoining pathway was great to take into town both walking and bike riding. We enjoyed watching the sheep wander around the paddock and the creeky windmill across the river gave that real country feel not forgetting the view of beautiful sunsets and sunrise. Easy to find location although our 19ft van is possibly maximum size to get through the main gate. We even managed to catch a rather large carp on the first night. Will come back again

Great friendly hosts that come and say hi, and also give you space. Beautiful grassy campsites on the river. Short walk into town. Would come back again.

We camped for three nights and absolutely loved it. Right on the river, we had a fire, the weather was awesome, and we walked into town. Simone and Andrew were incredibly welcoming and we will definitely be back!

Good location on the river with a pleasant easy walk into town along the river. However we felt the site was overpriced as it was quite small, fortunately we were the only ones there. The advertised camp kitchen and sitting area was all packed up. Site was a bit messy from previous campers? with beer cans and bottles. We didn’t see the owners.

Great location with a nice walk along the river to town. We had a good spot near the river under the trees. Pretty cool being in such close proximity to the sheep. We felt the property lacked some TLC. The entertainment room was unusable as it appeared to be used for storage. The access gate is very difficult to open.

Quiet location on the river ! Think the owners may have been away as we didn’t see anyone however directions were clear and was easy enough to access. Very pretty location 🙌

The owners Andrew and Simone were fabulous hosts making sure that we felt right at home . The location was close to town with the river walkway parklands right next door. An easy flat 10 minute walk. We shared our site with some sheep which was absolutely fine . I had my camping gum boots which I would suggest you look into because of the sheep poo. We would definitely return . It was a very peaceful and lovely location.

A beautiful spot on the river. Dog friendly. Fire pits for a fire. The host's are the best. Right on the edge of town walking distance to all the town with the furthest pub 15mins walk. Nice cafes and bakeries.

Lovely location by the river to spend a relaxing Easter weekend. Nice grassed site and the sheep gave the property that rural farm feeling. We enjoyed fishing, exploring the river, sitting around the fire & watching the sunset. The nearby pathway was easy to access for a lovely morning stroll into town for Coffee. We even took the bikes out on the path and explored the town a bit further. A great feed was enjoyed at the Boorowa Hotel. Simone & Andrew were great hosts welcoming us on arrival and checking on us during our stay to make sure everything was ok.

Campers Riverside Retreat
My family including husband, 2yr old, 4mth old and 1 large dog loved our stay here. Andrew and Simone were lovely hosts. They were both extremely warm and accommodating opening up there property to us to enjoy. We could not have asked for a better location to spend the Easter long weekend. It was close enough to town that we could all walk in and enjoy the fabulous local park and take a stroll down the Main Street and eat at the local pub, bakery and cafes. We were self contained but the town had all the extra facilities needed close by. The property was not huge but comfortable enough that we had our own space and did not feel on top of the other campers. The river and sunset were pretty and not to mention the abundance of stars lighting up the night sky. We enjoyed spending time here and are already planning our next trip back. Our little 2yr old loved the sheep and we were lucky to even see a 2 day old lamb, which he names Lachey. If you have kids it’s a great location to stay, close to the bike track around the river and a good stroll to town to enjoy such an amazing park.

So we had a Late booking and they squeezed us on to their Crappy Site(Bahahahaha) on the river that they hadn't used. We loved it right on the river with our own access. Strolling sheep. Our dog loved running around. The hosts were fantastic people and made sure things were all good. Fellow campers were great as well. Walking distance to all Pubs and the main street is you felt lazy and didn't want to cook.

Campers Riverside Retreat
What a lovely place to stay. Right on the banks of the Boorowa River on the edge of town, this Hipcamp has everything. Simone and Andrew are wonderful hosts who were there to greet us and show us around. The river is perfect for paddle boarding, kayaks and is safe for the kids to swim. There is a walking track right next to the camp that follows the river into the main street of Boorowa (approx 1km). Thank you Simone and Andrew for sharing your lovely property. We will definitely be back again.

Great spot right on the river with very friendly hosts. Quiet and peaceful and only a 5 minute walk into town. We happened to camp on the weekend that the markets were on so had that extra bonus of being able to buy local produce and goods. We brought a kayak with us but could only go about 500m as there are trees across the water. Great spot for swimming and fishing as the water was barely flowing. Thanks Simone and Andrew, we had a great time.

Very peaceful location beside the river with lots of different birdlife around. Very easy walk into Boorawa. Access was very easy and Simone was very friendly and willing to assist if we needed any help.
