Amazing Experience

My partner and I had such an amazing stay here! Natalie was very welcoming and helpful when we first arrived, making the experience run smoothly. We were treated to a beautiful sunset over the lake, and got to see ducks, swans, pelicans, kangaroos, horses and more. The facilities were also great, with a spacious hot shower and clean toilets. The location is also very convenient, close to a lot of wineries whilst still feeling like you're not surrounded by people. We only stayed for one night but are already planning on coming back for a few more!

Very peaceful!

Wide open spaces with very few people, even on a long weekend. We had no idea there was a dam on the property, so next time we might even bring our paddle boards for a float — although not sure we'd want to swim in it. Water taps throughout the property so no need to bring your own water. No rubbish bins so you'll need to take your own rubbish with you. Other reviews have stated there are no toilets or they're locked. We discovered that the building closest to the entrance was locked, but the building closer to the rear of the property was unlocked and had a hot shower and toilet. Sadly there wasn't a sink but I suspect this is coming soon. The property is in close proximity of wineries, some of which you could walk to. We'd strongly consider camping here again just given how quiet it is.

Absolutely fantastic quiet space so close and convenient to the wineries and walking distance to Hunter valley gardens. Fantastic clean/new shower and toilet amenities. I will definitely be back.

Had a very relaxing weekend at Pokolbin. Weather was atrocious but still was amazing. Having toilet and hot shower was fabulous. Thanks Natalie for being so helpful and kind. Close to so many places.

Natalie’s place was perfect for what we needed. The toilet and shower was new, clean and appreciated. Natalie was super helpful and friendly. The property is close to everything but not close enough to hear or see. We set up camp at the bottom of the property where it was protected from the wind as it was a very windy day. We stayed for 2 nights, sat by the fire and watched the kangaroos, sunset and stars. We will certainly be back.

Perfectly positioned in the midst of the Hunter Valley region, we were lucky to enjoy some absolutely perfect weather. Natalie (and Schnitzel) were friendly and wonderful to deal with. We look forward to our next Hunter trip! PS - yes, there are toilets!

Loved our stay on the vineyards, we were basically the only people there and it was so peaceful. No toilet facilities, however Natalie left the site toilets open so we could use these and they were only a short walk away. We also done the wine tasting with Paul and this was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Beautiful space and Digger just topped it off for us!

We chose to camp here during our stay in the wine region, my Wife, daughter and I chose this place due to the fact it was one of the places that advertised toilet facilities. However upon arrival we sent the host a message asking where we could find these amenities, which she responded that there are no toilet facilities and that we were to just use the resorts toilet facilities next door. She assured us that they would be open for us to use all night. Because we were out during the day sight seeing we took her word. That night my wife and daughter had to use the toilet so we walked over to the resort and could not find any accessible toilet facilities. We then had to pack up camp (due to having a roof top tent set up) and drive to Cessnock Mcdonald’s so they could use the bathroom). Although it is a nice area they have, there was no markings of where we could camp (site numbers or directions). I won’t be camping here again, but if you are to camp here I would be confirming that there will be someone to greet us upon arrival like advertised and that they have organised toilet facilities for our stay. The host gave us a $10 refund for this inconvenience.

We parked our campervans at Pokolbin Hill. Perfect spot next to the Leisure Inn where we hired bikes. Easy access to water as required. Even had kangaroo neighbours. As kiwis holidaying from NZ this was super easy to organise. Thanks Natalie.

Perfect location for an event at Roche Estate. Nice option to use the facilities at the Leisure Inn next door and Nat put out a porta-loo which was a nice bonus. Would definitely stay again
