Nestled along a picturesque 1-km stretch of the Bellinger River, our camping grounds offer level, grassy sites with open spaces perfect for relaxing and reconnecting with nature. Just a short walk into town, you’ll find a charming milk bar serving fresh fish and chips only 700 meters down the road, or for the adventurous, swim across the river for breakfast or lunch at the iconic Old Butter Factory Cafe. Enjoy complimentary on-site kayaking, fishing right from your camp, and a chance to spot the elusive platypus! A new fence keeps the cows out, so you can relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Facilities include a pit toilet. We welcome pets and families, with free entry for children. Only one vehicle per booking is allowed, though we can easily accommodate group bookings on a single site—just email us to arrange. Caravan hire is also available for added convenience.

West side with afternoon shade next to a 'forested tree-lined' camp area. Bank is high, so no swimming access at the Forest of Fairies camp area. Just 300m along the bank you will find pathways to go down to river. Toilet amenity is 100m distance. You’ll find a charming Providore milk bar serving fresh fish and chips only 700 meters down the road, or for the adventurous, swim across the river for breakfast or lunch at the iconic Old Butter Factory Cafe. Ben has an amazing place , have already told my oldies to stay a few nights in their caravan . Swim across the river to the Old butter factory is fairly easy even for the 4 legged friends . We stayed on the reserve part which is about 80m walk to the river and a lot more shade up there too as there isn’t shade down on the river view camp area so can get abit hot over the Australia Day weekend . All in all an awesome place to stay Thanks Ben for having us

The Upper Terrace
This spot is beautiful! We stayed in our caravan on the Upper Terrace as we passed through Bellingen and it was so peaceful and quiet. Ben was great in checking in on us and giving instructions on where to camp and information about the property. The kids had a blast swimming in the river and seeing the cows across the river bank! Would stay here again!

Great location close to Bellingen and Dorrigo. Plenty of open space for campers and caravaners and plenty of fire pits to light fires. Access to river swimming was quite difficult with overgrown fauna and grass was quite long making it quite uncomfortable to walk around our caravan. With a little maintenance this camp would be a ten out of ten.

Overall we loved the property and location was fantastic. Sadly, the toilets let it down immensely - they were poorly spread, not enough of them, and all in all, a very unpleasant experience. We're no stranger to long drops etc but these were gross + felt very unhygienic, and toilet paper wasn't always available. Also the one closest to us you couldn't lock / fully shut from the inside. The price reflects location and access to river, but toilets should be improved to match.

Only one or two good spots, was was busy when we went so river access is really hard. Mostly shallow spots. Also not allowed to crab as told by owner even though it’s a public river.

Beautiful location – right in front of the Belligen River. Beautiful surrounds amongst the mountains Greenfields and swimming and fishing in the river daily. I will totally recommend this place. Not to mention that.Belligen is probably the most beautiful village in Australia

A little chaotic with arrangements on the day but once there the site is idyllic. We kayaked and swam in the lovely warm slow river. A drive into Bellingen to be realistic but well worth it. We would think a young family or indeed a scout/guide group would love the place provided they had adequate toilet facilities

If I could live here camping all summer I would! Most magical place Bellingen and Ben’s campsite with direct river access was the cherry on top. Ben was very accommodating with fast communication with every question we had. Expect us back again and again!

Great spot right on the river! Not too crowded, few toilets around close to all sites. Half of the sites don’t have any shade so would recommend bringing shade! Beautiful spot, close to town, would definitely come back.

We had a fantastic stay on Ben's land. Its a great spot with the beautiful Bellingen River flowing past, and town so close by. The whole family had a ball on the river, fishing and riding the provided Kayaks.
