A perfect place for nature enthusiasts and avid hikers! Please read entire instructions/ description to ensure our property is geared towards your needs! This property is intended for backcountry campers. 110 acres of mixed forest with West River running through the property. The property is on both sides of HWY 6, with approximately 80 acres on the west side backing onto crown land and a trestle bridge. There is also one tagged/ marked trail that leads to a cold spring on this side of the property. This trail is located behind the shipping container and is about 100m up the drive way to the right. This trail is steep and skilled hiking is required, it is about 1.5km long. Please let it be known that this trail is not perfectly groomed, you will need proper hiking apparel. The property is virtually untouched and we would like to keep it that way. Swimming or Drinking the water is not recommended. USE AT OWN RISK. You will know when you have arrived when you see the white Hygieia Wellness banner and 40 foot shipping container (which will become a rentable tiny home soon enough! stay posted). We have NO specifically designated campsites available for tent campers but anywhere on the property is fair game. The ONLY area to park is at the entrance before the shipping container. You will not be able to park near your campsite unless you choose to set up on the paved path. We have a short paved path designated for Trailer/ RV campers (size may be an issue) the turn is tight coming off the highway. This paved way is meant for car parking as well. Campfires are permitted in an open and safe setting. Please be mindful as to whether or not a fire ban is in effect. Pets welcome! The east side of the property is about 30 acres with the calmer part of the West River running through it, headed towards Whitefish Falls. Portaging access to Nellie Lake is possible. Known for good pickerel fishing! This property is loaded with beautiful wildlife, rock ridges, hemlock woods, mushroom foraging and advanced hiking opportunities. There are minimal distinct trails and it is important you have intermediate hiking skills. The only way to cross the river is by walking beside the highway guardrails or by crossing the trestle bridge located near the back of the property on the west side. You can access the east side of the property from Widgawa Rd. This location is completely off the grid, there is little to no service, there are no permanent structures or bathroom facilities. This property is located 12 minutes from all the amenities located in Espanola. Please do not litter on the property, we want to keep our forest as clean as possible! We hope you have a wicked stay and make great memories you’ll never forget!
