I couldn’t say enough nice things about this place - It was absolutely lovely with the trickling little river lulling us to sleep at night, the birds singing a sweet melody to wake us in the morning, the massive fire pit that you could fit a whole family around, and the pavilion with multiple tables and a cute little propane heater to stay warm just incase there is a rainy day. This was all tucked away in a beautiful forest which made it feel very secluded. We had such an amazing time!

Just what I needed! As a solo female camping with only my soulpup, this slice of heaven is spectacular! I arrived on a day that the sky opened up and it poured for hours. I even got stopped by a road closure for a downed tree 20 minutes up the road on arrival. Chris was in constant communication when I let her know I’d be delayed for checking in. She and Jack showed up (after I had gotten there and had time to regroup a bit) with an offer for the propane fire pit under the shelter and helped me get it going. We car camped and I accidentally drained my battery overnight. Jack was so nice to come jump it for me the next morning. All of this was above and beyond as hosts if you ask me. As far as the property, it’s such a nice mix of lawn space and wild space. Amenities, yet wilderness. The covered shelter offers a space to relax, even in the rain. The tent deck was the perfect spot for meditation and taking in scenery that had me constantly in awe. And the sound of the flowing creek was so calming. To address some points I noticed in previous reviews,…the portapotty was spotless when I was there. And there was zero scent or odor, even with the heavy rains and wind. Yes, there is a neighborhood pup who randomly strolls through. I have a selectively reactive pup and he didn’t so much as bark at her. I legit think this old girl gives off some kind of calming aura about her! Not even space to rave as much as this place deserves! Perfection!

Our family had such a great time on the river. Even though we got some rain everyday we put our paddle boards in the water from the dock and played. The river is super peaceful and you get to see and hear lots of birds. We lucked out and had the whole place to ourselves even. Really nice to have the provided Adirondack chairs for around the campfire and watching the river too. Hosts were always very quick to respond and helpful. Road and property clean, well maintained and so was the port-o-potty on site. We even visited their horses to say hello for change of scene one afternoon. Mostly though we relaxed in the camp area and enjoyed the river. Will return for sure.

This was the second time we stayed at Chris’ HipCamp and both times we camped under Er the shelter knowing the rain was coming. The portable toilet and campsite were very clean. The firewood was delivered and under the shelter and started in the fire right away. You can tell the site is loved and the special touch was the hosts left a vase with a bouquet of fresh flowers on one of the picnic tables. After the fire was put out we could hear the deluge of rain start but we stayed warm and dry.

We had such a wonderful weekend! The space is so peaceful and the hosts are lovely. It was so helpful that our pups can be with us and we weren't worried about other campsites. Such a great spot! We will definitely be back!

Staying at the flying f ranch was so relaxing and refreshing. The cows did make their way up to the cabin and it was so cool getting to watch them. Brent and Tabitha showed us up to the cabin and were very nice, they were welcoming and had a beautiful property! Definitely get some steaks, eggs and ground beef!! They were delicious!! The porch sitting is awesome as well!

Weekend Trip to The Flying F Ranch Bunkhouse
Came here for the second time and I can't wait to come back for a third visit! Brent and Tabitha take great care of the bunkhouse and those of us that get to come stay there. Don't forget to grab some steaks and yummy beef snacks while you're there!

made some core memories with my nephews swimming in the river, playing in the hammock, and playing hide n seek tag at night :) we love how the fire pit is right by the water, the sites feel so private, and the portpotties are clean! also we got to feed the horses carrots that we brought ::))

This was truly the best spot! Quiet, relaxing, and easy to find thanks to clear directions and communication.
Chris and her husband are THE most friendly, kind, and hospitable hosts I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. They do an incredible job keeping the area clean and welcoming for every camper. The porta potty was spotless, the grounds were well cared for, and we were pleasantly surprised by how level the gravel was for our 25ft trailer - we didn’t have to do any extra work setting up.
We were also surprised by the lack of mosquitos and bugs, which made it so easy to enjoy the space. The horseshoe pits were a highlight for us. We used them multiple times a day during our 4 night stay. Our two dogs and our 1 year old had an absolute blast exploring. The creek was icy cold but perfect for hot afternoons, and the soothing sound of the water made it even better. We were also lucky enough to hear and see great horned owls in the evenings.
All in all, this is a really wonderful place and we are excited to come back! Sad to hear stories in which campers don’t clean up after themselves, so please, as with any camping trip, help take care of this land and clean up after yourself and your dogs.

Our family had an absolute blast while camping here! Erik and Michelle are super organized, very responsive and overall just wonderful hosts!
The UK RANCH is close to town, yet gives off the peaceful and relaxing vibe being nestled right along the water with privacy between each site. We paddle boarded and fished too.
Firewood was available for purchase when we booked so the bundles were there waiting for us by the pit upon arrival.
Can’t forget to mention the cute mason jar of flowers Michelle left on our picnic table as a warm welcome!!

When you first pull into the ranch there is a huge barn with stalls for horses. We made some equine friends. The camps are down a rough road to the right- our little Mazda made it, but go slow. Each of the 5 lovely spots are directly next to the river. I love that they are spaced far enough apart that you feel like you have space. There is a privacy hedge between them all. I stayed at 5, but they all looked great. 3 and 4 were a bit smaller but still completely doable for a couple tents. 1 & 2 were rented out to a large family gathering and they were having a blast on the rope swing over there. Those spots are perfect for a group. There is a nice community spot in the middle with little kiddos life jackets and some paddles for the couple of community kayaks. I took a jaunt down the river one afternoon and saw some beautiful cranes. Fresh flowers on the table, and little stack of wood greeted us. It was really peaceful to watch the wildlife and listen to the frogs and owls at night. It felt safe and wholesome. Nobody ever came to check in on us, which was kind of nice, everybody just minding their own. It is a working family owned ranch and they were busy with bringing in the hay which we got to see. I wish I’d have gone on a horse ride, but maybe next time. I would definitely go again.

The ease and efficiency of Teresa's place was perfect for our stay in Portland. The full hook ups were a surprise find. Theresa is a great communicator. The neighborhood is well equipped and an easy drive to downtown. Make sure to try Parkrose Coffee.

It was 101 and very tolerable! If we would have camped anywhere else we would have had to leave, but the campsite was perfectly cool! Even my three dogs stayed cool with the concrete pad. So much space to do anything you need. Even with the fire ban the hosts were kind enough to let us use a propane fire stand so we could still have some sort of “camp fire” in a safe way. Can not recommend enough!

So glad Erik and Michelle have chosen to share this very special place. We reserved all 5 sites for a group camping trip with 10 families. It was perfect and they were super accommodating. I loved all of the little touches, like the flowers on the tables. Site 5 was the largest and where most of the families camped. We used 1 and 2 for our group kitchen and hangout area. Site 5 does have a rope descent to the river, but there was a tree down in the river right there and it wasn't the best access to the water. It's just a few steps to the community site and dock for the best access.

So great. Reserved all 5 sites for a group trip. I didn't stay in 4, but it seemed nice - all of the sites are unique and lovely. The river is perfect for swimming, paddling and floating. The hosts were friendly, responsive and hands-off - we met Michelle when we arrived and then did not hear from them the rest of the weekend.

Love this place. We rented all 5 sites for a group trip with 10 families and it was perfect. Site 3 was the smallest site, but the closest to the river access via the community site and dock. The hosts are super responsive and helpful. The river is gorgeous and great for swimming, kayaking, SUPing or just lazing in a tube. There is very little current.
