We offer various accommodations, so be sure to check out each listing for information. Tucked away in the woods, you will forget you are less than a ten-minute drive from Portland and Beaverton. You will feel as if you are in a forest on Mount Hood, and yet, just minutes away, is all the best the area has to offer. From Northwest Portland with wonderful and trendy restaurants and eateries like Salt and Straw to Voodoo Donuts, the waterfront, and Washington Park. From the balcony, you may see golden and bald eagles, huge owls, woodpeckers, garden snakes, coyotes, deer, chipmunks, rabbits, and squirrels. Here, it is a place of peace, of quietude. No parties or loud music etc. Open to book: The Old Barn, Bigfoot's Glamping Tree House, Sasquatch's Tree House on Creek, and Yeti's Tree House. Please stay on your booked site and the paths to it; do not explore the rest of the property. Pets are allowed but must be leashed.

It may become the story everyone talks about long after the trip is over. ## The Adventure Begins Before You Arrive From the parking area, it’s about a three-minute woodland walk to Yeti’s Tree House. Along the way, you’ll pass a secluded picnic table tucked among the trees — a perfect little spot to stop, eat, talk, or just enjoy the forest. Then Yeti’s appears above you. Eighteen feet in the air. A real treehouse with a massive deck, giant outdoor soaking tub and shower, full indoor bathroom, retro kitchen... and yes, its own ZIP LINE from the deck to the ground below. You can take the stairs down. But where’s the fun in that? :-) ## The Tree House Inside, beautiful knotty-pine walls give Yeti’s the warm feeling of a classic woodland cabin. The 1950s-inspired retro kitchen has its own dining table and plenty of personality, while the full indoor bathroom means you can have the treehouse adventure without giving up the comforts of home. Head upstairs and things become even more fun. There’s a comfortable queen bed, a small double pull-out, and an enormous suspended hammock that can hold up to three people. You’re surrounded by trees, wildlife, and quiet, yet some of Portland’s best outdoor attractions are only a short drive away. Explore the Hoyt Arboretum, hike around Council Crest, visit historic Pittock Mansion, enjoy the Rose Garden, or head into Portland for incredible food and entertainment. Then come back to your hideaway in the trees. ## Guest Access & A Few Things to Know Guests can enjoy Yeti’s Tree House, the huge deck, giant soaking tub, zip line, the woodland trail from the parking area, and the designated picnic area. Please stay within these areas and do not hike or wander beyond the designated property spaces. The forest feels enormous and secluded, but residential neighbors are nearby, and wandering far enough through the woods will eventually bring you onto someone else’s property. This is a peaceful retreat — no parties. Dogs are welcome but MUST remain leashed whenever they are outside. Because reaching Yeti’s involves a short natural woodland trail, please wear appropriate shoes. Forest paths can occasionally be uneven or slick depending on weather. ## Come Be a Kid Again Sleep 18 feet above the ground. Soak under the trees. Zip line off the deck. Have a picnic in the forest. Bigfoot's Glamping Tree House
Overall I was very disappointed in the accommodation that were nothing like the pictures. The deck is falling apart, the bed squeaks so bad it wakes you up when you move. The bridge is a danger to anyone walking across it especially at night. They have signs up to tell you not to pee over the side of the deck, but after staying a sleepless night on a deflating air mattress I now see why people do. The alternative is to slide down a dirt hill or try to negotiate a uneven bridge. This was a big no from me. They need to bring everything up to code, before I would recommend or return.

Peaceful retreat, felt like home!
Sasqquatches’ Tree House on Creek
This Place is so magical. The creek and little water falls drown out the city noise. You would never know you are in the middle of the city. The bed was very comfy and I loved the outdoor bath house. So peaceful hearing the water while showering. I ended up extending my stay. The host "with the most "Peter was also lots of fun and so welcoming. The forests adorned with art and whimsy.. be sure to looks around 😉..also the bridge made my inner childs heart burst.

Hidden gem!

Such a charming and peaceful retreat! I would say, if you’re paranoid the treehouse is quite wobbly and a bit spooky, especially if you arrive in the dark. But if the neighbors hadn’t partied so loud, it’s a peaceful getaway! Only 10mins from the zoo ands camping experience with the luxury of a toilet! Was woke peacefully by the sound of many different birdsongs. Would stay again 1000%

Cozy, quiet and musical!

Barry's barn is in a very secluded and calm neighborhood, with lush greenery around. The living place itself is very eclectic and cozy, and if you are music lover, its the place to be to spend a weekend, with all the lovely musical instruments available. Travel to downtown Portland by car takes roughly 15 min, and there is also a metro line nearby

Check-in and out was a breeze. Communication with the host was very quick. This was a great getaway as we were so close to downtown Bevearton but the barn was secluded enough that my party and I felt like we were off the beaten path and could disconnect from the world. We’d totally stay at the Old Barn again!

Overall, the site is very beautiful and Bigfoots Glamping Site is cool. It’s a really nice place. I am not sure I would recommend this site to a friend because both nights we were there, groups arrived with bookings to the same location as us through Air Bnb. We were fortunate enough to be the ones who had arrived first, unpacked, and settled in, but had we arrived 30 minutes later, we would have had to find somewhere else to go like the other people who showed up to this site with bookings. It also was a security issue as the tent had no lock, which wouldn’t be a big deal, but because of the double booking people entered our tent when we weren’t there which made us feel unnerved. If you plan to stay here, i would recommend not leaving any valuables in the tent. Again, the place was beautiful. The booking issue was just troubling.

We very much enjoyed staying on Barry's land. Was peaceful and secluded. We had a wonderful run in with assistant Peter, who told us about Steve, but Steve was elusive during our stay. The walk to the bathroom was a trek on uneven land yet I found it a fun challenge. Maybe in the future we will try out one of the other accommodations on his property. Thanks for the stay.

Rude and Unhelpful Host
Bigfoot's Glamping Tree House
This review is about my interaction with the host, Barry, not the property itself. I was unable to stay due to an extreme heat warning in Portland. Before the warning became official, I asked Barry what conditions I could expect inside the tent during high outdoor temperatures. His replies were dismissive and unhelpful, pointing out that the tent was in shade (already obvious from the photos) and saying he couldn’t “predict the weather,” which of course was not what I had asked. When I politely and respectfully requested a partial refund for canceling one night under these circumstances, Barry refused, calling my request unreasonable and claiming he had “already lost money” because others wanted to book. Once the official heat advisory was issued, he still denied any refund. Overall, Barry’s communication was rude, condescending, and unprofessional. f you search reviews of this property on other booking platforms, you’ll see similar responses from the host to guests who left critical feedback.

Such a cool and relaxing experience. My pup and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will likely be back! We even woke up to the infamous Elk "Steve" who roams the property. Nothing short of magical and a well maintained bathroom.

This was one of my favorite places and will be visiting again! There was a slight texting miscommunication and Barry went above and beyond and gave us extra accommodations. The manger on site Peter was extremely kind and genuinely made our stay memorable! There was also this Elk that was on the property and made for a beautiful sight in the morning :)

This site is very nice, tent camping in a treehouse! Nearly everything you need is inside the tent, and the bed is surprisingly comfy. The only inconvenience is that the bathroom is a bit of a walk, and you have to cross over a suspension bridge which can be a little scary at night or when it's raining. But the bathroom does have hot water and a shower!

awesome tree house. we arrived extremely late due to our airline delay and found big foots treehouse to be the best dark hour adventure for us and my grandson. woke with the sunrise to enjoy the beautiful view in the forest and listen to the relaxing creek down below. definitely would recommend for anyone who loves nature (and bigfoot)

I can easily see how many people have had a great experience staying here. Unfortunately that wasn't my personal experience. Upon arrival, the unit we had booked was already occupied. I called Peter, the on site contact, who was incredibly responsive and helpful. He was already onsite so he came to meet us immediately. The unit we had booked was also booked on another platform. Peter was able to find another available unit for us to stay in for the first night, but said they were fully booked for our second night so he needed to consult with the owner on what to do. The next morning we were informed that they had no place for us to stay and we had to find somewhere else. Peter told me to reach out to the owner for a refund. Upon doing so, the owner offered no apology or empathy, just blamed Hipcamp for not syncing with their calendar, and mentioned how stressful it was for them. It's odd considering that upon booking, we had to wait for it to be approved, so why would it be accepted if it was already booked? The property is unique and awesome, it's disappointing we couldn't experience it as intended.

Nestled in a hidden forest nook within Portland, "The Old Barn in the Woods" offers an enchanting escape, seamlessly blending city convenience with natural seclusion. Managed via Hipcamp, this cozy barn conversion boasts a studio layout with plush amenities, including a musical instruments motif that added a playful charm to our stay. Rediscovering the piano after 20 years (Mary had a little lamb),was a delight. The prime location meant we could enjoy Portland's nightlife and still retreat to our forest haven effortlessly. Mornings were for quick city runs, returning to tranquility before the day fully awoke. The barn's comfort was unparalleled: from the inviting warmth of the electric fireplace to the innovative zero gravity bed with its intriguing massage feature, ensuring restful sleep. A big-screen TV and a well-needed foot massager enhanced our relaxation. But the jewel in this rustic crown was the outdoor hot tub, cradled by trees with a moonlit canopy above, offering stunning, serene soaks. Equipped with everything needed for a secluded stay, this property allowed us to forget the world and forge lasting memories. A heartfelt thanks to the owner for sharing this magical retreat.

Very helpful host. The location is amazing. It was a 5 minute walk to some of the best food we had the whole trip. Yet, you feel like you are completely secluded in the woods. No AC in main areas. And just one small fan. Just something to note for summer months.
