Hello, welcome to Rosa Glen Farm in Margaret River. Our farm is set on 80 acres divided by vineyard, open fields and native bushland. We are perfectly positioned to see our beautiful region and our wines.😁 Just over two years ago we stumbled upon this gorgeous property and turned it into a boutique, biodynamic winery and farm. Our vines however were already established and some of the first planted in the area in 1978. Since buying the farm we have introduced olives, a small citrus orchard and numerous fruit trees. The farm is a working farm and well.. a massive work in progress. Our passion is the land, the environment, making good wine, listening to music, eating good food and sharing all of this with our community. We are opening up our farm to share with like minded souls who share the same passions as us (our community). Over the years we have started to learn about the secret spots on our property. The ones which are secluded, capture beautiful pieces of light at certain times of the day, where the black cockatoos love to rest on the branches of the gum trees, the areas where weeping peppermints create a haven and the frequencies and syncronities of the frogs elevate at certain times of the year and times of the day are so loud that you cant hear yourself think. As a result we have a number of beautiful secluded spots on our property we would love to share. As we are small and have no facilities and we can only accept a small number who are fully self contained. (Please see NOTES below) Our region 'Margaret River' is famous for WINE but there are so many other things that make this place special. A wild but beautiful coastline uninhibited by people, karri forest, caves, mountain bike trails and a 120km coastal walk. We are also known for surfing and close by are a number of world famous breaks including Surfers Point which is located 20 minutes from the farm. Closer to the farm you can enjoy a short walk to a beautiful winery called SI Vintners, drive to The Berry Farm or the quirky town of Witchcliffe. At Witchcliffe you will find Darnell's General Store which has a beautiful giftshop (The Shed), cellar door (Amato Vino), coffee shop (Witchy Brews) and fantastic pub (Dear Darnells) and vintage stores which it has become reknown for. NOTES: We only accept self-contained caravans/motorhomes/vans/rooftop tents, so PLEASE DO NOT BOOK UNLESS YOU HAVE YOUR OWN CHEMICAL TOILET. NO EXCEPTIONS, YOU WILL BE TURNED AWAY. WE DO NOT ACCEPT GROUND TENTS OR SWAGS. DO NOT BOOK UNLESS YOU ARE IN A SELF CONTAINED VEHICLE IE CARAVAN, MOTORHOME, CAMPER-TRAILER, ROOF-TOP TENT ECT.

Deepdene Farmstay Camping

5. Deepdene Farmstay Camping

96%
(186)
69km from Yallingup · 16 sites · RVs · Augusta, WA
Deepdene Farmstay is a beautiful rural property with a fabulous view! We have a number of unpowered camp sites located approximately 5 minutes drive from Augusta, which offers a number of tourist attractions and great fishing spots. We are also located a short 800m from Jewel Cave, which is a very popular tourist attraction and café. Our campsites overlook paddocks of cows and horses, with a lovely breeze and a number of large trees to offer shade in the summer, while being protected from the harsh winds in winter. If you are pretty much self contained and would like to camp out away from the hustle and bustle, in a tranquil and peaceful setting...then this is for you. However, if you like life's luxuries, then this won't be your cup of tea. One of the reviews said nice but a bit wild, I think they must be used to caravan parks or something. We try our best to fit in with the environment, so we have a couple of compost toilets and solar showers (for private not public use, for more info on this, please enquire ) and compost and recycling bins to try and do our bit. Dogs are permitted but this is a working farm with livestock so uncontrolled dogs chasing wildlife or stock which cant be controlled will be dealt with as needed including euthanised. If its hard to control don't bring it please!

Please take care whilst exploring around this area, there are some deep rabbit warrens around the hay shed, which can be hidden in the grass in winter. Valley Vista Valley Vista is a private and secluded haven, on an elevated spot backed onto state forest looking down over the valley, with arguably the best views of the farm. Creek Junction Creek Junction is a peaceful area by the creek line nestled in amongst the trees, where the gully running down the hill meets the creek. One of our three dams is hidden in amongst the tea tree bushes nearby. You can see the house from this campsite, but it is far enough away that privacy is not an issue. Please be aware, all of our dams are seasonal and will be very low in the summer months. We also recommend that you do not swim in them. Deepdene Farmstay Camping

5. Deepdene Farmstay Camping

Welcome to Dunmore Homestead, a working cattle farm and nature-based farmstay nestled in the heart of Western Australia’s stunning Scott River region. Surrounded by untouched forest, rolling pastures and winding waterways, our property offers a peaceful, back-to-nature escape for travellers seeking wide open spaces, fresh country air and the simple beauty of life on the land. Set across 1500 acres, Dunmore Homestead is a place where farming meets nature. The Scott River area is rich in history, flora and fauna, with wildflower displays in spring and abundant native orchids hidden in the undergrowth. Whether you’re a nature lover, keen angler, farm-curious traveller or simply someone in search of a slower pace, Dunmore Homestead offers a genuine, grounded farmstay experience in one of the South West’s most beautiful and little-known corners.

Where to go

Yallingup Surrounds

Whether you like bush campsites, waterfront caravan parks, or beach camping, Yallingup has it all—though the latter may involve a little hiking, with some of the best tent sites found on the popular Cape to Cape walking trail. If you’d prefer something more luxe, Yallingup is also great for glamping, with family-friendly chalets, quirky bell tents, and kitted-out caravans complete with cosy firepits and swimming lakes. You’ll be close to popular spots like Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park, Yallingup Beach, Canal Rocks, and Injidup Natural Spa.

Dunsborough & Margaret River

On one side of Yallingup, you’ll find Dunsborough, and on the other, Margaret River, Western Australia’s wine capital. Two of the state’s most popular holiday destinations, both have a range of caravan parks, holiday parks, and campsites to suit everyone from families with dogs to couples after a quiet Indian Ocean beach break. Some local wineries and breweries even offer on-site campgrounds, so you can enjoy all the fruits of the land without worrying about how to get home.

Busselton

The gateway to the southwest, the coastal town of Busselton is another popular holiday destination and a great option for campers who want to stay slightly closer to the city lights but still have the bounty of the Margaret River region on their doorstep. Known for its 2-kilometre wooden jetty—complete with train and underwater observatory—Busselton features beachfront caravan parks and holiday parks with fully kitted out camp kitchens, as well as nature-based campsites and hidden chalets.

Blackwood River & Nannup

East of Yallingup lies a (semi) untouched wilderness, with towering karri forests and farmland rolling on alongside the meandering Blackwood River National Park. Further inland, the chocolate-box town of Nannup has plenty to offer, from kayaking and outdoor adventures to campsites next to lavender farms and natural pools in the forest. Barrabup Pool is one of our favorites, although to be a little closer to Yallingup, you’ll find some great camping areas near Canebrake Pool as well.

When to go

The summer months are the most popular time to go camping near Yallingup, with most campsites filling up well in advance, especially between December and February. If you don’t mind a little wind, spring in the southwest is spectacular, with migrating whales passing by and wildflowers blooming along the Indian Ocean coastline. Autumn is usually fairly dry and cool, while the wetter winter months offer quieter campgrounds and national parks, secluded beaches, misty mornings, and star-studded nights around the campfire.
